4 Nerve-Wracking Moments We Endured While Watching The Invisible Man

Who doesn’t love a good thriller?

Sometimes, we watch, and it’s okay, and other times, we catch a good one, and we’re tense and terrified the entire time!

That’s the effect The Invisible Man had on everyone.

There were many moments in this film that left us on the edge of our seats with our hands buried in our hair—just stressed out. We desperately wanted to figure out how Cecilia was going to beat something she couldn’t see!

With that in mind, let’s get into the four most terrifying moments that left us cringing in suspense.

[SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT!]

Cecilia Trying to Escape From Her Home

The movie starts with Cecilia trying to leave her husband and the extravagant fortress of a home they shared. We can tell she’s already planned this “escape”, but watching her try to get out of the house is enough to make the hair stand up on your body.

Perhaps, the tensest moment in this scene is when she accidentally kicks the dog bowl and makes a lot of noise. Still, then as a viewer, you were probably annoyed that she almost got caught up trying to take the dog along with her.

Leave the dog—save yourself!

Her attempt to save the dog allowed the husband (Adrian) to nearly catch up with her. Right as she hops in the car with her sister, he smashes his hand in the window as they drive off.

She Finds Adrian’s Phone in the Attic with Recent Pics

If you think your husband’s dead but you find his phone in the attic buzzing, it’s only natural to be a little creeped out!

There were already some strange occurrences that she didn’t pick up on like the handprint on the shower door, or his breath behind her when she was standing outdoors.

When she locates the phone, she notices that it’s Adrian’s phone with a text message that reads “surprise.” This is a pivotal moment in the film because it’s the moment that she realizes that he’s around in some capacity.

Then, it only gets more insane when she ends up pouring the can of paint and sees the outline of a man!

The Infamous Restaurant Scene with Her Sister

At this point in the film, her sister has had it with her because she believes that Cecilia sent her a nasty email, but it was Adrian (of course).

Suddenly, when she’s sitting at the table with her sister at the dinner table, a knife rises in mid-air and quickly slices her sister’s throat! Of course, Cecilia is terrified, shocked, and in a state of paralysis. There’s no way she can prove her innocence at this moment.

The audience feels more for her because it seems like Adrian has won with all of his carefully pre-meditated antics.

The Final Revenge

When Cecilia’s in the mental hospital because everyone thinks she’s completely lost her mind, she gets a visit from Adrian’s brother, who drops a bomb on her. He tells her that Adrian switched her placebo birth control pills and she could be pregnant!

At this point, could you imagine being pregnant with the seed of a psychotic, abusive man?

His brother tells her that she should consider going back to Adrian because he’s not dead! Ultimately, she agrees to meet with him, only to give him a taste of his own medicine!

She plays the victim and cries a bit to excuse herself to the restroom where she secretly puts on the invisible suit. Can you believe she comes back out and slices his throat, goes back to take the suit off, and then perfectly positions herself to scream in disbelief in front of the cameras?

Oh, and the police were outside.

Smart girl.

She got the money and her freedom, even though she lost her sister.

MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE 2 is the second video game developed under the MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE title and is an anime-action fighting game based off the wildly popular Shonen Jump series.

In MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE 2, the original cast members from MY HERO ONE’S JUSTICE will be joined by a slew of new heroes and villains, totaling up to 40 playable characters. 4 Things We Can’t Wait to See in the Next Phase of the MCU

Superheroes may have been big business at the box office for a number of years now, but 2019 has the comic book movie genre undoubtedly reach all-new heights.

Avengers: Endgame eventually managed to unseat Avatar to become the highest-grossing movie of all-time at the end of July, with the moment undoubtedly highlighting how Marvel Studios has become an absolute blockbuster powerhouse. Of course, one obvious question has been raised by that level of success – just how do you go about topping it?

Plans for the future

The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has certainly been left in an intriguing position.

After all, Endgame is likely to prove to be the swansong for a host of characters who have anchored Marvel Studios movies in recent years. Without getting into spoilers that includes Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, although Spider-Man: Far From Home certainly offered up a tantalising glimpse as to how the latter’s position as a genius inventor and one of the richest characters from fiction could mean he still has an influence on proceedings to come.

However, it is fair to say the departure of a few key players does open the MCU up to some fresh blood and the recent announcements made at Comic-Con in San Diego certainly highlight that there are plenty of plans for the future. Here, we look at just a few of the things we are most excited about.

1. Finally, a Black Widow movie

While Natasha Romanoff has featured in a raft of the MCU’s best-loved blockbusters, she has had to wait a long time for her own moment in the spotlight. Scarlett Johansson has been a lynchpin of the franchise and she thoroughly deserves to be put front and center in a standalone adventure.

2. A new Blade

Wesley Snipes has become synonymous with Blade through the years and it was always clear that a big name would be needed if the character was ever to be rebooted. Well, Marvel has really pulled it out of the bag in style with the casting of Mahershala Ali and even his predecessor can’t wait to see him in action.

3. Portman becomes Thor

Natalie Portman did not have a great deal to do in the first two Thor films and then she was overlooked entirely when the God of Thunder went cosmic in the brilliant Ragnarok. However, she looks set to play a pivotal role in the series’ fourth outing, as she is intriguingly set to become Mighty Thor in the movie.

4. Will The Eternals be a success?

Marvel has a strong history of introducing its lesser-known characters to the big screen with major success, but can they pull the trick off once again with The Eternals? The big-name cast including Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry and Richard Madden could certainly help the movie’s cause.

Plenty to look forward to

There is so much to look forward to in the next phase of the MCU and we haven’t even touched upon the slate of TV shows that are being made or the big-screen debut of Shang-Chi and the eagerly anticipated Doctor Strange sequel.

Marvel Studios is arguably at the top of its game right now and it will be fascinating to see whether these adventures will help them keep it going for years to come.

Book Review “The Art of Toy Story 4”

“Toy Story” is a franchise that started Pixar and continues to win the hearts of audiences over 20 years. With the recent release of the latest installment, “Toy Story 4”, that means a new art of book has been released. I still have my “The Art of Toy Story 3” and was just looking through it recently, which is still one of my favorites. This book dives right into the movie and behind-the-scenes content including great concept art, landscapes and character development over the film’s development. If you are of fan of these book and the “Toy Story” franchise, I would definitely recommend checking this out!

Official Synopsis: With a story that’s spanned more than 20 years, the adventures of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the gang have captured the hearts of millions. The Art of Toy Story 4 invites readers to explore the next installment of Pixar’s beloved franchise through never-before-seen concept art, character studies, process animation, storyboards, colorscripts, and more. Featuring exclusive interviews with the production team on the making of the film and insights into their creative vision, The Art of Toy Story 4 reveals the vivid imagination that brought this story to life.

“The Art of Toy Story 4” kicks off with a solid introduction from Josh Cooley, who actually directed “Toy Story 4”. Josh also directed “Riley’s First Date”, which was a short film following the film “Inside Out”. He also worked as a story artist on the Academy Award®-winning films The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Up, and Golden Globe®-winning Cars, and served as the story supervisor on Academy Award®-winning Inside Out. I personally was a bigger fan of “Toy Story 3” in terms of favorite films in the franchise but I do feel like he gives a lot of heart to “Toy Story 4” and delivers a solid film.

Closing out the book there is a great foreword from the incomparable Annie Potts, who voices ‘Bo Peep’ in “Toy Story” and “Toy Story 2”, and returns in “Toy Story 4”. She has appeared in numerous feature films including the “Ghostbusters” franchise, Pretty in Pink, and Corvette Summer for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination. I enjoyed this foreword and it is a great ending to the book given great insight into the role and her involvement with the film. Overall the book is another hit for Chronicle Books, they have been extremely consistent with their “Art of” books and never disappoint.
