New Music Video For Track From Band’s Latest Release
The Phantom Tomorrow Arrives Friday the 13th

BLACK VEIL BRIDES are “Born Again.” Immediately following the conclusion of the sold-out Trinity Of Terror Tour across America, the band unveils the cinematic clip for “Born Again,” the fourth single from their latest album, The Phantom Tomorrow. Helmed by feature film and music video director Vicente Cordero (Cradle Of Filth, DevilDriver, David Hasselhoff) and produced in collaboration with occult luxury/streetwear masterminds MM Custom Fabrications, the evocative “Born Again” video arrives, appropriately, on Friday the 13th. The music video for “Born Again” can be seen here:

“This video was an opportunity to use the more macabre imagery we grew up loving as fans of classic horror movies,” explains Black Veil Brides frontman and founder Andy Biersack. It also offered a chance to further flesh out the immersive world of The Phantom Tomorrow, told in multiple companion mediums, including comic books, action figures, and of course, music videos.

“We show a bit of what goes on in the ‘9th Circle,’ which is the location in our Phantom Tomorrow storyline that exists as a plane of existence outside of reality,” says Andy. “It’s a more esoteric version of a fire-and-brimstone afterlife, but one that is directly attacking your daily life.”

Produced by Erik Ron (Godsmack, Bush, Set It Off), The Phantom Tomorrow gave the band their first Top 10 hit on Mainstream Rock Radio, “Scarlet Cross.” Like that song or the group’s gold-certified 2013 anthem “In The End,” “Born Again” blends accessible hooks and sharp metaphors.

“I think all of us struggle with demons that hold us back or make it difficult to get through life,” adds Andy. “This song and video are about that push and pull. And how, ultimately, the battle is won not by pretending these parts of ourselves don’t exist but by facing them head-on. And by saying no matter what we struggle with or the fears and anxieties we experience, we can defeat them and be ‘born again’ as the person we know ourselves to be in our hearts and minds.”

Completed by longtime guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, drummer Christian “CC” Coma, and bassist Lonny Eagleton, Black Veil Brides is a transcendent celebration of life-affirming power and anthemic catharsis. A gothic vision first summoned in a small town by an isolated kid fascinated with death, rock, theatricality, and monsters (both real and imagined), Black Veil Brides is now a postmodern hard rock institution with a legion of like-minded fans and supporters worldwide.

Black Veil Brides will next appear at several major rock festivals in the UK and Europe in June; Australia in July; and back home in the United States at RockFest WI 2022, Inkarceration Festival, and October’s highly anticipated When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Like their band name suggests, Black Veil Brides evoke transcendent visions of an impenetrable hereafter, intermingling with a steely focus on the dark passions and elusive mysteries of the here and now. A romantic fantasy first summoned in a small town by founder Andy Biersack – a creative who was fascinated with death rock, theatricality, and monsters (both real and imagined). It wasn’t until moving to Los Angeles that the unstoppable force the band is currently was finalized. The band (and its members Andy Biersack, Jake Pitts, Jinxx, Lonny Eagleton, Christian Coma) Instagram and Twitter accounts command close to 10 million followers between them. Vale, the group’s most recent full-length album, went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. In the hearts and minds of their fans, Black Veil Brides represents an unwillingness to compromise and a resistance to critics (personal and professional), fueled by the same fire as the group’s own heroes, the iconoclasts whose creative output, once dismissed, is now canonized.

CD Review: Black Veil Brides “The Phantom Tomorrow”

“The Phantom Tomorrow”

Black Veil Brides
Sumerian Records
Producer: Erik Ron, Co-Producer Jake Pitts
Tracks:

Our Score: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Los Angeles rockers Black Veil Brides will release their 6th studio album “The Phantom Tomorrow” on 10/29/21. The 14-track concept record was produced by Erik Ron (Godsmack) along with Co-Producer Jake Pitts and is being released via Sumerian Records and includes cover artwork by artist Eliran Kantor.

As the follow up to 2018’s “Vale” front-man Andy Biersack and company have crafted a new anthemic concept album titled “The Phantom Tomorrow”. Despite the unknown origins of the red crossed phantom who adorns the album cover created by the band which along with Biersack consists of Jake Pitts, Jeremy “Jinxx” Ferguson, Lonny Eagleton and Christian “CC” Coma let each of the fourteen tracks found on “The Phantom Tomorrow” to set the story for listeners. Tracks like “Scarlet Cross”, “Black Bird” and “The Wicked One” come packed with riff driven verses and anthemic choruses which instantly transport the listener directly into the center of the albums concept while tracks like “Torch”, “Shadows Rise” and “Fall Eternal” paint a broader picture of the story by multi layered instrumentation and operatic like vocalizations which further bolster the albums already robust sound.

Black Veil Brides have laid forth another masterful concept record to accompany their already impressive resume. Though I would have liked to see the band expand on their tonal pallet giving listeners a little more variety it’s that element of familiarity which keeps me coming back time and time again. Black Veil Brides “The Phantom Tomorrow” is a continuation of albums which play to the bands strong suit, a suit which continually keeps them at the fore front of modern rock.

“The Phantom Tomorrow” Track Listing:

1. The Phantom Tomorrow (Introduction)

5. Spectres (Interlude)
6. Torch
7. The Wicked One
8. Shadows Rise

The discovery of the artistic passions that would shape his life, and his decision to move to Hollywood after his 18th birthday to make his dreams come true, even when it meant living in his car to make it all a reality. It’s the origin story of one of modern rock’s most exciting young superheroes, from building miniature concerts with KISS action figures in his bedroom to making the RIAA gold-certified single “In the End” and connecting with passionate fans worldwide.

BLACK VEIL BRIDES Return With New Single “Scarlet Cross” From The Upcoming 2021 Album The Phantom Tomorrow

Epic Video Directed By Longtime Collaborator Patrick Fogarty Can Be Seen Here: http://smarturl.it/scarletcross

After teasing fans for days on social media, Los Angeles rockers Black Veil Brides are releasing a new single and video for the track “Scarlet Cross.” The song comes from the band’s upcoming 2021 concept album The Phantom Tomorrow – the band’s sixth full-length album. The album tells the story of the antihero character “The Blackbird” and a group of societal outcasts known as simply as “The Phantom Tomorrow.” The first single “Scarlet Cross” – produced by Erik Ron (Godsmack, Dance Gavin Dance, Bush) and guitarist Jake Pitts – is available via all digital partners today.

The video for “Scarlet Cross” was directed by longtime collaborator Patrick Fogarty and based on a concept written by frontman Andy Biersack. The video was filmed on the Santa Clarita Studios backlot and is the first in a series of videos that will follow the story of the main character “The Blackbird.”. The video opens as a female member of “The Phantom Tomorrow” takes to the streets only to be discovered and followed. As things get dire, the “The Blackbird” arrives only to fade to black. Shot to look like an old school comic book serial, the video ends with the cliffhanger tease leaving the viewer unsure of the fate of the heroine or her attackers. We are in the final stages of writing for this record and have begun work on our forthcoming “The Phantom Tomorrow” graphic novel. We intend to continue to share elements of the story in the coming months and can’t wait for everyone to see what we have been working on!”

BAND ANNOUNCES BVB ARMY PHONE NUMBER FOR FANS

NORTH AMERICAN CO-HEADLINE TOUR DATES WITH ASKING ALEXANDRIA ON SALE TODAY

NEW YORK, NY (September 29, 2017) — After quietly fueling fan anticipation over the past month, BLACK VEIL BRIDES share the details for their anxiously awaited fifth full-length album, VALE [LAVA/Republic Records]—available, January 12, 2018. Pre-Order VALE Here!

The official pre-order grants fans immediate downloads of the first two songs to be released off VALE, “My Vow” and “The Outsider” which was released online last year. Listen to “My Vow” Here and “The Outsider” Here!

Produced by longtime collaborator John Feldmann [blink-182, Panic! At the Disco], VALE sees BLACK VEIL BRIDES sharpen their signature sound to knife point precision.

On the album, front man Andy Biersack stated: “We cannot wait for the BVB army to hear VALE in its entirety! In my opinion, this record is the most complete and exciting album we have done to date. The opportunity to work with John Feldmann once again over the course of the past 2 years creating VALE was an incredible experience and I am thrilled with the collection of songs we have put together as a band. The Latin translation of VALE is “be well, be strong!” and central to the message of this record. We hope to continue to inspire our fans and friends to embrace their own individuality and inner strength. The central narrative once again finds “The Wild Ones” characters facing the challenge of moving on from the pain and anguish of their past and looking to a new chapter in their lives. This concept is one that is near to my heart and I believe will resonate with those that find themselves cast on the fringe of society. From our inception Black Veil Brides have stood up for the outcasts and disenfranchised, with this album as hope to give you hope, fun and most importantly a kick ass rock and roll record.

CD Review: Black Veil Brides “Black Veil Brides”

Black Veil Brides
“Black Veil Brides”
Producer: Bob Rock
Lava/Universal
Tracks: 11

Our Score: 3.5 out of 5 stars

“Black Veil Brides” is the latest release from the rock band of the same name. The album is the follow up release to the group’s 2013 concept album “Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones”. The album is being released by Lava/Universal and features 11 brand new tracks produced by legendary producer Bob Rock that blur the lines between rock, metal and punk.

After being a bit put off by BVB’s 2013 concept album I wasn’t too sure what to expect with the latest offering from the band. Thankfully the group has appeared to have returned to its roots as “Black Veil Brides” is a straight forward rock/metal album speckled with nods to the bands early influences. Producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Motley Crue) showcases why he has been and still is the guy to go to if you want to capture that late eighties/pre-grunge era rock sound as each track has the perfect balance of flash and balls. Combine that with lead vocalist Andy Biersack’s gritty operatic style and you have the makings of what could be considered the bands most powerful release to date. Tracks like the albums take no prisoners opener “Heart of Fire” and the in your face “World of Sacrifice” shred through your speakers while more laid back tracks like “Goodbye Agony” and the ballad like approach of “Walk Away” will appeal to listeners on a whole new level.

Though at times I did find the album to be a bit over produced it wasn’t enough to pull my attention completely away what the band was trying to accomplish. Black Veil Brides may have been the band who first burst on to the scene sporting an over the top, make up stained look reminiscent of the 1980’s glam era however all of that is now gone and the band appears to be all business and their latest “Black Veil Brides” certainly helps prove that.

Track Listing:

5.) World of Sacrifice

CD Review: Black Veil Brides "Wretched and Divine- The Story of the Wild Ones"

Our Score: 3 out of 5 stars

The break out hard rock/heavy metal band Black Veil Brides are back with their 3rd full-length release titled “Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones” which is the follow up release to the bands successful 2011 album “Set the World on Fire”. The new release is a concept based album featuring 19 tracks produced by John Feldman that are based around the story of the Wild Ones a group of outcasts trying to defend themselves from an entity know as F.E.A.R.

I was really excited to get my copy of the new Black Veil Brides album as I have been following the various updates and postings from the band about the album via their social media sites. The part I was not so excited for was the fact that it was going to be a concept based record. These very rarely go well for bands and have the potential to alienate even the most diehard fans. Well sadly “Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones” failed to impress me for the most part. Gone were the metal tinged songs reminiscent of the bands “We Stitch These Wounds” release. Instead the band seems to have traded in their edginess and gritty sound for pianos ballads and over the top production. I did find the tracks “Shadows Die” and “Nobody’s Hero” to be more to my liking as they were probably a couple of the heavier tracks on the album. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy albums that contain a lot of production however it really has to be done in moderation.

Though “Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones” maybe be too much of a departure from the sound that brought the band in to the mainstream it shouldn’t be totally discredited. The concept behind the album is one that I am sure a lot of listeners can relate to and may have dealt with at some point in their lives. That alone makes the album worth checking out. Anything after that is up to the listener to decide.

Track Listing:
1.) Exordium
2.) I Am Bulletproof
3.) New Year’s Day
4.) F.E.A.R. Transmission 1: Stay Close
5.) Wretched and Divine

7.) F.E.A.R. Transmission 2: Trust
8.) Devil’s Choir”
9.) Resurrect the Sun
10.) Overture
11.) Shadows Die
12.) Abeyance
13.) Days are Numbered
14.) Done For You
15.) Nobody’s Hero
16.) Lost It All
17.) F.E.A.R. Transmission 3: As War Fades

CD Review: Black Veil Brides “Rebels- EP”

Black Veil Brides
“Rebels- EP”
Universal Republic
Tracks: 3
Video: 1

Our Score: 3.5 out of 5 stars

“Rebels” is the latest release the heavy metal band Black Veil Brides. The EP features 1 new track, 2 cover tracks and an extended video for the song “Rebel Love Song” which is featured on the bands full length album “Set the World on Fire”. The EP also features a performance by Black Label Society and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde.

Being a fan of Black Veil Brides first two albums I was pretty excited to check out what they had to offer on their new EP. Granted it was only 3 songs and a video I still was all ears. The opening track “Coffins” is a brand new song from the band. Originally written during the bands previous studio session the song was not completed at the time of the full length album’s release. The song was not bad however it sound very much like every other song on album. I would have liked to hear a little more diversity. “Unholy” originally written by Kiss was almost spot on with the original. Zakk Wylde’s solo on the track was a little drawn out and stock sounding. I found the cover of Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell” to be the real star in the bunch. The song featured a unique arrangement which gave the song a really updated and modern feel. The video for “Rebel Love Song” had a really cool 80’s look and feel which only added to an already great song.

Members of the Black Veil Army will definitely want to pick this up. The EP would also be a great pick up for someone wanting to check the band out for the first time. “Rebels” is available via ITunes digital download.

Track Listing:
1.)    Coffin
2.)    Unholy (feat. Zakk Wylde)
