JUDAS PRIEST ANNOUNCE 50 HEAVY METAL YEARS TOUR 2020

One of heavy metal’s all-time greats, Judas Priest will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a world tour coming to the US in the fall. The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will also feature Sabaton as openers and is being fueled by the highest charting album of Priest’s career ‘Firepower’ which peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.

“Judas Priest are primed and ready to deliver the goods with our 50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular! Performing a blistering cross section of songs from our lives in metal – we can’t wait to raise horns with you again at this once in a metal lifetime event!” – Judas Priest

Judas Priest originally formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England (an area that many feel birthed heavy metal). The original nucleus of musicians – Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, KK Downing & Ian Hill (along with several different drummers over the years) would go on to change the face of heavy metal. Throughout the 70’s Priest were responsible for helping trail blaze metal with such classic offerings as ‘Sad Wings of Destiny’ (1976) ‘Sin After Sin’ (1977) and ‘Hell Bent for Leather’ (1978) as well as one of the genre’s top live recordings ‘Unleashed in the East’ (1979) among others.

But it was during the 80’s that Priest conquered the world, becoming a global arena headliner on the strength of such all-time classics as ‘British Steel’ (1980) and ‘Screaming for Vengeance’ (1982), as well as being one of the first metal bands to be embraced by the then-burgeoning MTV, plus performing at some of the decades biggest concerts (1980’s Monsters of Rock, 1983’s US Festival, and 1985’s Live Aid) and being the first to exclusively wear leather and studs – a look that began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world. Priest’s success continued throughout the 90’s and beyond with the addition of drummer Scott Travis, as evidenced by such additional stellar offerings as ‘Painkiller’ (1990) ‘Angel of Retribution’ (2005) and ‘A Touch of Evil: Live’ (2009) the latter of which saw Priest win a Grammy Award for a killer rendition of the classic ‘Dissident Aggressor’

In 2011 new guitarist Richie Faulkner came in to replace the previous guitarist who had left in 2010 – the move seemed to have reinvigorated the band, as evidenced by a show-stealing performance on the ‘American Idol’ TV program that also served as Faulkner’s debut performance with the band (also in 2011 was the release of a new compilation ‘The Chosen Few’ which included Priest classics selected by some of metal’s biggest names) and the ‘Epitaph’ concert DVD in 2013.

Priest’s next studio effort would arrive in 2014 ‘Redeemer of Souls’ which was supported by another strong tour.

In 2017 (and again in 2019) Judas Priest received a nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and got ready to unleash their latest studio album ‘Firepower’ (produced by Andy Sneap and Tom Allom) which received global success and critical acclaim.

Few rock or metal acts remain as much of a must-see live attraction as Judas Priest. And the forthcoming 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will undoubtedly drive this point home.

6 CBD Vape Juice Flavors You Must Try in 2020

As vaping becomes an increasingly safer and effective means of delivering essential cannabinoids into the body, its popularity continues to surge upwards. Consequently, vape juice quality and flavors are increasingly becoming apparent, precise, and of a considerable variety. This is due to a large number of individuals engaging in a vaping process on a regular basis.

Individuals love being independent and unique in every way. Similarly, vape juices have to be unique and be able to match your preferences. For instance, if you love the relaxing and comfort inducing fragrance of mint, a peppermint flavored vape juice will be convenient for you compared to a fruity or pineapple flavored juice.

However, one must always exercise caution when purchasing vape liquids. If you are willing to get and examine any vape juice, then it is essential to determine the quality of vape juice at CBDfx or any other store before making the purchase. It will ensure that you carry not only your favorite flavor home but also the best product on the market.

Here are the topmost vape juice flavors for you this year:

1. Tobacco

People who love to smoke find it hard to switch from smoking cigarettes to vaping CBD juices. A tobacco flavored vape juice might be the only way to make sure they are able to make this transition. Besides, smoking has a vintage attachment to it, which makes it suitable for individuals with a rustic edge to their personalities.

Tobacco flavored vape juices have the right amount of CBD in its mix. Also, it comes with the right nicotine content to help you fight against bad smoking habits. Besides, when vaping, this type of flavored tobacco juice expects to release more significant amounts of vape clouds with each puff. However, it may not have that sweet hint that most cigarettes boast of but delivers on all the other fronts.

2. Coffee and other stimulant-like flavors

Coffee and other stimulants keep you up and highly active. If you desire a vape juice that ensures proper work concentration and less fatigue, then select a vape juice that has a coffee flavor. The pure smell of ground coffee on your vape pen brings you home, and the memories are demure, happy, and quite engaging.

The vape juice flavor can help you quit taking excessive coffee. When in the office and require more concentration and a way to get rid of the fatigue, instead of a cup of coffee, you can vape coffee-flavored e- juice. Vaping the juice makes you more relaxed, active but also helps you sleep after the day’s activities due to the presence of CBD in it.

3. Mix Fruit

Fruits can have a delicious hint to it but can also be revolting to others. If you love fruits, especially a mix of each here and there, then selecting a fruity vape juice flavor might be to your liking. You can conclude to search for a passion, strawberry, mango, or even pineapple flavored vape juice at any time of day or night.

Once you puff a fruity vape juice, nothing else will matter except the various flavors exploding on your tongue. The blends of fruits take over, and the feel of it is not only engulfing but quite catchy too. The flavors can also be welcoming, especially if vaping at home and friends come over, and there is no need to stop your vaping routine.

4. Menthol

Menthol is one of the flavors that can be therapeutic in many different ways. For one, it is useful in relieving blocked sinuses and other flu symptoms. When you rub menthol to the skin, it helps relieve pain and also has anti-bacterial tendencies. It creates a fresh environment and produces huge vapor clouds. Alternatively, one can also go for a dry herb vaporizer to experience superior clouds and more blended taste.

Vape juice with menthol flavors can also deliver the above benefits and many more. The peppermint fragrance it releases can help you unwind and let go of the day’s challenges. Besides, it can be ticklish and hits the throat with considerable precision. If not used to having heavy flavors, you may want to back away from the menthol flavor and select a more subtle vape juice flavor.

5. Strawberry and Cream

Image

These are just the flavors you need to zone out of this world. If feeling like escaping reality and building your life afresh, then these flavors will have you doing it in a matter of seconds. They explode in bliss like experience which can be overwhelming for some but welcoming to others. After stressful days at work, this kind of bliss and the perfect world is what you need.

Find the right combination of strawberries and cream before sticking to one. Ensure that the flavor can keep you busy for long periods. Also, you may decide not to stick to one but have several tastes in this combination at your disposal.

6. Chocolate chip cookie

Love these chocolate chip flavored cookies? Well, how about having them in vape juice form. There is nothing more fulfilling than biting a chocolate chip cookie after having a busy day. It welcomes you home, making it the perfect companion.

By just feeling its fragrance, you can imagine the drizzle through the cookies and abandon any inhibitions towards cookies if there are any. These roasted flavors waft through the atmosphere making your home feel much more relaxed and homely on any occasion.

Conclusion

CBD vape juice flavors have different impacts on individuals. Unique individuals with similar interests might have the same preferences. However, the mix is exceptional, and only you can find what it is you desire. Sift through all flavors to first identify what they feel like. Besides, it increases your vaping experience before you discover which character pairs well with you. Keep exploring, and who knows you find the perfect flavor for yourself.

Buzz Cut Styles to Consider in 2020

Before we show you some of the coolest buzz cut styles in 2020, allow us to go down the history lane, in the 19th century Serbia. You might be asking why Serbia. Well, it was here where the buzz haircut came from. Do you know why? A barber called Nikola Bizumic owned a barbershop and he is the guy who invented hair clippers. As such, men could shave their hair very close to the head and faster.

In the following years, all barbers across the world were using hair clippers and it is at this time when the buzz cut for men became quick common, though the term ‘buzz’ originally came from the US military. New recruits were shaved their hair completely to keep lice at bay and also keep soldiers cool during hot summer months. By the ‘70s the buzz haircuts were a mainstream and by 1980s there were more and more variations of the buzz styles which were popularized by rock stars as well as politicians. And we can see why. Buzz haircuts are quite easy to style and maintain and that is all men want. Here at MensHaircuts we have compiled some of the best buzz cut styles to consider this year.

  1. The Butch Cut

The haircut is ideal for men who do not like extremely short hair. The hair is maintained at ¼ inch all round by the help of a #3 or #4 guard. If you want to add some fun in your butch cut, you can taper your neckline and the sides.

  1. The Induction Cut

It derives its name from recruits joining the army as it is the shave they get upon joining. The induction buzz cut is the shortest and is ideal for men who like keeping near to bald hair. There are no guards used while creating this buzz, ensuring no notable amount of hair is left.

  1. The Brush Buzz Cut

The hair on the top of your head is cut to a length of ¼ to ½ an inch. This buzz cut allows you to achieve a hard taper. After attaining the right length at the top of your head, you can proceed to taper it from there downwards. The hair on top is then brushed up, giving a spiky and adorable finish.

  1. The Burr Cut

It is the next from the induction cut. Very little hair is left, but not almost bald. The barber will achieve it by using a #1 or #2 guard on the clippers and use it on your entire head. The final finish will be a rough texture with a young attitude. You can add some style on this cut by giving it an edgy touch.

  1. The Crew Cut

This cut has a very slight difference with the burst cut. To differentiate the two, the crew cut leaves longer hair at the front, making it look more formal. This front hair can be styled differently using the side or backward combing.

  1. The High and Tight Buzz Cut

The high and tight buzz cut is a version of a short fade that guys can almost not go without. It includes leaving a ¼ to ½ inch of hair on the top. The hairstyle is ideal for men who love showing their scalp as it involves shaving sides and the back into bald.

  1. The Ivy League

It is ideal for men who cannot go without their long hair intact. The hair at the top part is left at a sizeable length, and the barber uses the highest guards available, usually #7 or #8. A fade is given from the top going down, and the hair left is enough to create a part.

  1. Caesar Buzz Cut

It is inspired by the Caesar cut, only that the barber uses a guard to make the hairstyle. Long hair is required to make this look successful. The barber has to use a guard from #5 going up to shave your hair all around. The hair is then combed from the middle to the front, sides, and back. A small fringe is made at the front to create this look. It is an easy to maintain hairstyle and is ideal for men who do not like showing skin.

Not only that, get ready to be spooked because 2020 offers a good deal of horror thrillers as well. Don’t be surprised if nostalgia hits because this year Sonic and SpongeBob are coming to the big screens too.

Let’s take a timeline-view for some of the most anticipated movies this year:

Birds of Prey

The month of love i.e. February is all about girl power this year – a crazy angry foursome! Margot Robbie is seen on the screen again reprising her role as the fantabulous Harley Quinn – narrating a tale only she can relate. The twisted tale of the Birds of prey brings you a team of anti-hero women who get together to save a young girl, causing mayhem in the city. Harley Quinn, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya cross paths for an epic adventure. People have long waited to see what happens when the crazy meet the volcano, the storm and the hunter. So get ready for a viewing, which is if you have not already, and always remember not to mess with an angry woman!

Sonic The Hedgehog

The trailer and the first impression of the movie caused an outrage among fans. By making Sonic look realistic, the creators had drifted away from the classic Sonic look, leaving fans disappointed around the world. The studio resorted to the decision of redrawing the character and changing the look following the reaction to the first trailer. The release of the movie was held back until the redesign shown in a new trailer was welcomed. Sonic is now back with the more classic look making fans nostalgic all over again. People had been waiting for this movie for a long time. Inclusion of Jim Carrey, who appears as the villain Dr. Robotnik, has pushed expectations of fans still higher. Thousands of tuned-in fans, long eager to find if the movie does justice to the famous American comic series, will take to the theatres in February.

Black Widow

The Marvel Women are loved and hailed by all. After the record breaking success of the Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios is back with another action packed presentation starring Scarlett Johansson as the Black Window, tapping into her past life as a spy and her broken relationships from before she became an important member of the Avengers. The trailer came in December making fans extremely curious and eager for a full viewing of the new Marvel movie that is due to hit theatres in May this year.

Wonder Woman 1984

Another Marvel Woman will be hitting theaters this year in June 2020. After a massive success on the box office, leading to 821.8 million dollar business worldwide, and ranking as the second best super hero movie of all times on Rotten Tomatoes, the Wonder Woman is back with the next iteration rather than a sequel – exactly as Patty Jenkins, the director intended Wonder Woman 1984 to turn out. The movie is set in the 1980s Cold War context and the Wonder Woman stands up against the Soviet forces as she takes on the main villain – Cheetah!

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the run

SpongeBob finds himself on another adventure that aims to rescue his dearest cat Garry – and along with his best friend Patrick, they set out in their iconic “patty wagon”. The trailer shows all the important characters – Squidward, Mr. Krabs and Sandy Cheeks – as SpongeBob searches for his precious Garry on another exciting trip to The Lost City of Atlantic. On their way they see many new faces, including Snoop Dog, the Sage (played by Keanu Reeves) and more. We can be sure this movie is bound to make summer 2020 absolutely breathtaking.

A Quiet Place (Part 2)

A Quiet Place turned out to be a smashing hit in 2018 and got set up for a sequel due to release this year. The movie revolves around a mother of two as she survives post-apocalyptic times with extraterrestrial beings that respond to the slightest sound infesting the land. Having lost her husband and son, this mother tries her best to protect the remaining family and meet up with more survivors.

Purge (2020)

The Purge, an American media franchise, revolving around a series of action horror films, is due for the fifth one in line i.e. The Purge 5 to release this year. Following the success of the previous four i.e. The Purge, The Purge: Anarchy, The Purge: Election Year, The First Purge, fans are looking forward to the fifth feature film of the franchise. Though not much information has been released about the plot, it will most likely tie in with that of the television series, so get ready for what may be the last of Purge that you will get to view this summer.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

After the huge success of the first two parts, The Conjuring 3 is on its way to hit the cinemas in September 2020. This time with a little twist in the plot, instead of the movie revolving around a particular haunting, the focus is the aftermath of an old and infamous case, one of the most sensational in the Warrens’ files. This would be the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim “the devil made me do it”. Fans can’t wait to see how mystery, suspense and thrill come together on the big screen when the movie releases on September 11, 2020.

Mulan (2020)

As we said earlier, this year is all about girl power! Live action of the famous Disney movie Mulan is on its way to take you on a ride packed with adventure and drama. Taking place of her ailing father, Hua Mulan, the eldest daughter of an honored warrior is ready to fight for her country. Join Hua Mulan on her journey and watch her harnesses her inner strength as she becomes the pride of her family, and an honored warrior of the nation.

Free Guy

Ryan Reynolds is back with his naturally witty, sarcastic and energetic character in his new movie, Free Guy. Living in a violent world of videos games, his NPC character becomes self-aware and decides to take his destiny into his own hands. Join Ryan Reynolds as he embarks on an adventure to spell change; expect a lot of fourth-wall breaking, self-referential and ironic humor.

METALLICA: ALL WITHIN MY HANDS FOUNDATION HELPING HANDS CONCERT RESCHEDULED TO SEPTEMBER 12, 2020

Time to update the calendar as the second installment of the All Within My Hands Helping Hands Concert has been rescheduled for September 12, 2020, still at the Masonic in San Francisco.  A few of you may recall that in September as we were riding high on all the positive vibes that came out of the two S&M² shows, we were excited to announce that we had set aside March 28th to celebrate AWMH with all of you again. However, we may have been a little too ambitious with that date in terms of getting our shit together and giving you an experience that matches or surpasses the first event held in November of 2018.

We apologize for inconvenience that this change may cause and thank you for all the support and love that you’ve given All Within My Hands. We’ve had some incredible accomplishments in the last two years, including the launch of the innovative Metallica Scholars program (more on year two here: https://www.allwithinmyhands.org/news-media/news/metallica-scholars-year-two.html) and are excited to share all the details—and a kick-ass show—with you later this year.

More information and ticketing details coming very soon.

Namm 2020, Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA

2020 Winter Namm

Thursday, January 16th – Sunday, January 19th 2020
Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA

Our Score: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

The multi story Anaheim Convention Center was over flowing with musical buzz recently as the venue once again played host to the annual Namm (Nation Association of Music Merchants) Convention. The trade show which showcases the latest and most innovative editions to the music instrument market is the place to be for dealers, vendors, artists and anyone else lucky enough to be able to attend the industry only event. Over the course of four days the biggest companies in music instrumentation pull out all the stops to ensure their respective products and brands get noticed amongst the ever growing sea of competitors.

As we made away into the towering Anaheim Convention Center we quickly devised a plan as to how we were going to tackle this at times overwhelming environment. This year we decided to work our way from the top down. Housed on floors two and three were some of the industry’s biggest companies which consisted of Fender, Gibson, Paul Reed Smith and Marshall to name just a few. The Gibson area was easily the most impressive as not only did it sport rows and rows of guitars from its three brands Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer, the large space also sported multiple player stations complete with headphones allowing attendees to check out the instrument of their choice in a somewhat isolated space. Having set ups like this are a must in an environment where the outside din of noise causes even standard person to person conversation to become difficult. At the end of the room was a full performance stage which over the course of the four days was graced by several Gibson artists including Slash, Lzzy Hale and Phil X of Bon Jovi.

Fender also sported a noteworthy space which took on more of a museum type approach complete with velvet ropes and ornate framing of some of its premier instruments. Attendees also could catch a glimpse on the new George Harrison “Rocky” Stratocaster guitar which was showcased upon a spinning day-glow background which teased the viewer’s senses. Making our way down the escalators to the main floor we casually passed the likes of Dave Amato of Reo Speedwagon and Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult talking with attendees about some of their latest projects and happenings.

Floors two and three are tame compared to the main floor which houses not only stringed instruments but also percussion, brass instrumentation and various other musical odds and ends. You never know who or what you will stumble upon when wandering around the cavernous hall. Trekking from front to back we took in displays by companies such as Ace Products Group, Keisel guitars, Kemper Profiling, SJC Drums and Zildjian cymbals. While navigating the semi-chaotic walks ways to each of these booths we inadvertently bumped into the likes of Skidrow bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarist Dave “Snake “Sabo, as well as Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain, guitarist Devin Townsend  and bassist Victor Wooten who was dazzling onlookers during one of several demo’s he had scheduled.

As the weekend slowly came to a close we left the Anaheim Convention center with tired legs, ringing ears and wish list’s a mile long. Year after year Namm continues to raise the bar not only with the amount of exhibitors they showcase but also in how the event organizers handle the ever growing crowds. Security checks were fast and efficient as was badge registration and pick up resulting in very few if any lines to wait in. You would think with an event this big there would be a few hiccups along the way and, if there was anything like that attendees were unaware as the event had a comfortable, somewhat stress free feel that even the city of Anaheim itself was in on as many area business’s were offering discounts to convention attendees which was really great.

Needless to say MediaMikes.com had a great time covering this year’s event and the only thing we would change is to be able to find more time during the next event to take it all in as there is just so much cool stuff going on you don’t want to miss anything.

Is 2020 Going To Be The Year Of Mobile?

After a decade with our smartphones, mobile consumption has never been higher. Most people today cannot be separated from their smartphones and more industries are now turning their attention to mobile devices. But how do most people consume media and content today, and will it change in the following decade? Let’s find out.

Movies & TV

Netflix is one of the most popular ways to watch movies and television shows. Users can watch content anywhere they have an internet connection but official stats from the media firm have revealed that its users prefer watching on content on their televisions in the long run.

Statistics from Netflix revealed that most customers sign up on either laptops (40%) or mobile devices (30%) rather than televisions (25%) or tablet devices (5%). However, viewing patterns change the longer customers are registered with Netflix. Over a six month period, the 30% of users who registered on a mobile device have dropped to 10%. The percentage of users on a laptop dropped from 40% at sign-up to 15% at six months. Most customers transitioned to a bigger screen as the number of people who registered via television (25%) rose to a whopping 70%.

However, official YouTube stats reveal that over 70% of its users watch content on their smartphone devices while the rest mostly comes from desktop computers and laptops.

Games

In 2018, a poll from mobile strategy agency Tappable found that smartphone devices are now the preferred gaming device. Tappable’s poll queried male and female gamers and found that 42% of the people surveyed preferred gaming on their smartphones while 32% preferred consoles and 26% preferred their PC.

Statistics from WEPC have revealed that the most popular games on Android smartphones devices in 2017 were casual (59.6%), puzzle (57.29%), and arcade (55.6%). The stats also found that around 10% of Android smartphone users enjoyed playing casino games such as mobile slots, many of which are played through casino apps rather than at in-browser online casinos. The type of games least popular on Android devices were family and sports games (0.95% and 0.59%).

Books & Music

There has been worry that print publishing may eventually completely cease due to the rising popularity of e-books and digital reading. However, a recent report from Neilsen revealed that there’s been an increase in the sales of physical books compared to those read on smartphone devices.

Neilsen reported that around 63% of physical book sales come from people under the age of 44 compared to 37% of book sales from those 45 and over. Contrarily, 52% of e-book sales came from people over the age of 45 while the remaining 48% of digital book sales were made by those aged 44 or under. Neilsen’s stats suggest that older people prefer reading on smartphone devices, tablets and e-book readers while younger generations prefer real books.

A similar study from 2017 by Neilsen found that the sales of printed books had risen and the sales of e-books dropped, again suggested that most people prefer reading printed books over e-books.

Meanwhile, music consumption has mostly gone completely digital. Lasy year, IFPI released a report revealing that people listen to around 18 hours of music a week. The IFPI surveyed 34,000 people across 21 countries and found that 89% of respondents use an on-demand streaming service to listen to music.

The report also found that video accounts for around 47% of on-demand music streaming, with YouTube dominating the market. This compares to around 37% who prefer paid audio streaming and 15% who enjoy free audio streaming.

Mobiles: On Or Off?

The statistics laid out above indicate that, aside from gaming, most people still prefer consuming media off their mobiles. However, studies have confirmed that a majority of people still spend hours on their smartphone devices, mostly browsing the internet, interacting with other people and playing games.

With the rise of streaming services, the constant expanding size of mobile phones, and the rise of video game streaming, we may soon see some of these statistics change within the next decade as more people turn to their mobiles.

They are one of the very reasons I started playing punk rock music and continue to today. This tour is going to be epic on many levels. We’ve done Warped Tour and festival shows many times over the years, but this will be the first time it’s just us and I couldn’t be more thrilled!”

Coming up on 40 years as a band, BAD RELIGION formed in 1980 in the suburbs of Los Angeles. The band has become synonymous with intelligent and provocative West Coast punk rock and are considered one of the most influential and important bands in the genre. BAD RELIGION has continually pushed social boundaries and questioned authority and beliefs armed only with propulsive guitars, charging drumbeats, thoughtful lyrics and an undying will to inspire and provoke anyone who will listen.

The band recently released 17th studio album, “Age Of Unreason”. The critically acclaimed record offers a fiery and intensely relevant musical response to the times, with songs that address a myriad of socio-political maladies, including conspiracy theories, racist rallies, Trump‘s election, the erosion of the middle class, alternative facts and more. There is a stylistic consistency to the band’s iconic and influential sound — hard fast beats, big hooks and rousing choruses, yet each new song remains distinctive, utilizing composition, melody and lyrics to deliver a unique narrative consistent with the band’s longstanding humanist worldview.

Since emerging in 1996, ALKALINE TRIO have become one of punk rock’s most progressive and unique bands of the last decade, rousing a dedicated legion of passionate supporters with nine fan-adored albums and relentless worldwide touring. The band’s recent release, “Is This Thing Cursed?”, debuted No. 2 on the current alternative albums chart, No. 9 on the top current albums chart and No. 68 on the Billboard 200. The album hearkens to the creative process of the early days, when the band rehearsed in a tiny apartment on the edge of Chicago’s Humboldt Park in the band’s hometown. Produced and mixed by Cameron Webb (PENNYWISEMOTÖRHEAD), it is the first ALKALINE TRIO album written almost entirely in the studio. According to the band, the album-making process was similar to that of “Maybe I’ll Catch Fire” — ALKALINE TRIO‘s darkly charged sophomore full-length.
