The Swedish band Ghost reliably hits the three Ps hard: proggy, punky and poppy. Its fifth album, IMPERA, packs the ambitious sprawl of ’70s rock epics into (relatively) bite-size packages with amusingly confounding story lines. ‘Spillways,’ one of the album’s most straightforward tracks, starts with a pounding piano straight out of Billy Joel’s ‘All for Leyna’ and quickly segues into a sweetly constructed rock tune. Think Bad Religion with ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ running through its veins.”—THE NEW YORK TIMES

From the pages of the gray lady to the silver screen… Ghost presents the phantasmagorical video for “Spillways,” rendering the irresistible earworm of IMPERA’s latest single — a solid contender to continue the band’s streak of Rock Radio #1s (IMPERA’s “Call Me Little Sunshine” and “Hunter’s Moon” bringing Ghost’s career total to five consecutive #1s) — in majestic visual form courtesy of director Amir Chamdin. To lose yourself in the cinematic world of “Spillways,” watch HERE.

In other Ghost audiovisual news, MTV is currently in the midst of a massive 10 full-length broadcasts of Ghost’s 6-song “Live From The Ministry” ritual in its entirety on MTV Live. Check local listings for remaining specific dates and times.

Finally, for the North American faithful anxiously awaiting another taste of Ghost in the flesh, Papa Emeritus IV and the Nameless Ghouls will once again bring the “euphoric spectacle” (ROLLING STONE) of its live ritual to North America for the next leg of its globally dominating IMPERATOUR. The North American IMPERATOUR will see the GRAMMY® Award-winning Swedish theatrical rock band headlining 19 arenas across the U.S. and Canada (plus an appearance at Virginia’s Blue Ridge Rock Fest), kicking off August 26th at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena and running through September 23rd at the Resch Center in Green Bay.

GWAR’s “Scumdogs Live” out Today on Pit Records!

“Scumdogs” 30th Anniversary Tour Starts Thursday September 16th

Rejoice humans! The day you’ve been waiting for is here! GWAR have released “Scumdogs Live!” an epic live event, filmed in the basement of GWAR’s Antarctican fortress, now available for you to own on Double LP, Blu-Ray/DVD/CD and cassette. What? You haven’t picked up a copy? Act now to spare your life! You can still order one HERE.

The band’s lead singer, the Berzerker Blóthar sez: “In making this recording, we spared no expense to recreate the atmosphere of those early tours for Scumdogs of the Universe. You can really hear the urgency and drive that comes from a group of rockstar primadonnas, worn down from truckstop love affairs and running dangerously low on shitty cocaine, frozen chicken chimichangas and fortified wine. I had forgotten how powerfully stupid these songs really are, but we managed to capture that perfectly!”

“It was a great honor to don the armor of my fallen comrade, Flattus Maximus, and perform the songs from Scumdogs. Unfortunately I shall be searching the galaxy for an audience worthy of indulging in the soundwaves captured on this audio recording. Until I find them, I suppose Earthlings can take this record for spin,” added guitarist Pustulus Maximus.

Coinciding with this release, GWAR is streaming a performance video of “Sick of You,” from “Scumdogs Live!” Watch the video HERE.

All worked up from seeing that clip? Answer the call to worship at the feet of your Lords and Masters “in person” when GWAR returns to the road on September 16th in Richmond, VA. The band then returns to the road October 28th in Norfolk, VA through December 14th New York, NY. Support on this run comes from Napalm Death and Eyehategod.

Twitch Users Are Making A Decent Living By Live Streaming

Like most people, I always thought Twitch was a platform that is reserved for the gaming community. After all, that’s what the website is most famous for. However, I’ve recently found out that the platform is actually a hub for all things live streaming. Surprisingly, Twitch users are able to make a lot of money for what they do, here’s how.

Twitch Bits

The basic type of viewer donation that is built into the platform is known as Twitch bits. Users viewing a stream can pay a small (or big) donation toward the livestreamer if they choose to, and Twitch takes a percentage of that amount. Of course, more viewers means more potential for such donations. So, many livestreamers will use StreamOZ to get Twitch followers organically and thus increase their potential revenue. While Twitch bits are available for all Twitch users, some may opt to add a patreon account to receive viewer donations in the form of a premium subscription.

Affiliate Marketing

As with any platform on the internet, Twitch users make use of affiliate marketing programs to earn extra money. Of course, this again depends on a sizable fanbase, but it also adds the fact the the viewers would need to trust the livestreamer’s opinions enough to purchase something based on their recommendations.

Selling Merchandise

For Twitch users that have a substantial follower count, it is worth it to try selling any type of branded merchandise. However, this does not account for a major portion of their earning because merchandise is usually sold as exclusive and isn’t a permanent offer.

Sponsorship Deals – Brand Marketing

Once Twitch users gain enough followers, they attract the attention of businesses that are looking to market their brands on Twitch. Many will strike a deal with sponsors, agreeing to promote their product or increase brand awareness for the products in exchange for monetary compensation. As with any type of social media platform, this type of deal is usually the most lucrative way to earn money through social media. The drawback is that the sponsors will control much of the creative process and the specific marketing messages that the users must use to promote their products. Nonetheless, it remains a goal for many Twitch users to be contacted by sponsors and be able to successfully negotiate a highly profitable sponsorship deal.

Summary

Overall, Twitch users are able to earn a hefty paycheck at the end of the month by combining several of the aforementioned methods. It isn’t easy to be successful on Twitch, but once the ball gets rolling, the road to success seems to be simple enough. Twitch users are interested in a variety of topics, and not just sports or gaming, so don’t be discouraged from joining the platform as a livestreamer and trying to earn some money by focusing on the hobbies you are interested in. There is bound to be a community of people on Twitch that share your interests, so go ahead and start livestreaming with no hesitation.

What are the benefits of a live casino?

Today gambling platforms offer users a variety of options, from blockchain casinos to virtual reality games. Also, among the main trends in online gambling are live casinos with real dealers. Live casino games with live dealers are an online casino movement. This was one of the last developments in 2010 and has developed quickly ever since. This sector is more advanced than many other casino sports, and the presence of a live dealer casino and real physical casino gives the player special advantages. Live casino UK and in other countries has become quite popular, especially in the last 12 months as people have looked for alternatives to visiting physical casinos due to the pandemic, and so it is important to lay out the advantages that such casinos offer which makes them so attractive for gambling fans.

Undeniably, Real-Time Gaming (RTG) is probably one of the most significant benefits of live dealer casinos. Unlike regular land-based casinos that require your physical presence to play, live casinos allow you to experience almost the same fun and action from the comforts of your home. What’s more? You get to watch every move in real-time on your computer or mobile device. You also have the opportunity to observe and follow the game without any restrictions whatsoever, another huge positive.

Live casinos have never been any better thanks to advanced technology. Live streaming has improved the performance of the whole gaming process. Additionally, players are allowed to keep track of events during the gameplay. This means, after placing your bets, you can easily trace the ball on the roulette table or the card during a live blackjack game. This technology ensures a more transparent gaming process devoid of any doubts. There is nothing artificial about a live casino experience and by being able to see the action unfolding in front of your very own eyes, you can be sure that you can trust the cards you are being dealt. The fact that you can see the faces of the professional dealers will also aid in the overall feeling of security when playing online. Gone are the days when you question whether or not the odds are stacked against you.

Although live game studios have emerged quite recently, broadcast-quality has improved dramatically over the years. The operators use the equipment for shooting with the highest resolution. Different cameras provide different viewing angles: focus on the table, on the dealer’s face or hands, on the information fields. Not so long ago, games with elements of slow motion and replays appeared: a separate camera in slow motion shows how the live dealer roulette wheel or the wheel of fortune stops, how the dealer’s hands open the cards. This maximum detail gives great immersion in the game.

Players also have the opportunity to chat and discuss with the dealer and fellow participants in the game. By doing so, players can establish personal bonds and connections during a live casino game. It is rare to be able to talk with the dealers, but it is still helpful to speak with other staff.

Which Star Wars planet is the best to live on?

There are billions of fascinating planets in the galaxy far, far away, but which one would make the best home?

The Star Wars universe is home to an incredible collection of planets. From the desert of Tatooine to the metropolis city of Coruscant, there are countless ways to live a life in the galaxy far, far away.

Of all the planets, though, which would provide the best place to live?

According to to research from Betway casino, we have complied a list of the planets and some pros and cons of living in each one.

BESPIN

Bespin is basically a giant ball of gas. The only thing keeping it hospitable is Cloud City. If you are wondering why it would be a good place to live is due to that fact that Lando Calrissian, the administrator, is the boss there and that dude definitely knows how to throw a party.

CORUSCANT

Coruscant is a bit more hoping that Bespin planet. Coruscant is entirely covered by a giant metropolis. It is also the home to the Jedi Council and the political centre of the galaxy. This is city life for sure 100%. If you are looking for the typical city life that this planet is where it is at.

There is a clear class system here on this planet though with over 1000 levels. So if your loaded with money it might be better for you than just the average worker, since the further down you go its like descending deeper and deeper into the pits of Hell.

ENDOR

Endor is the forest planet, which is also home to the Ewoks. Living here would be a nature lovers dream come true. It is blush with forest ands and trails. As long as you can get along with the little Ewoks, you will be happy here.

HOTH

I don’t know who would want to come to Hoth to be honest, which is a planet covered by snow and ice. Maybe if you were into winter sports, it would be nice otherwise outside of skiing, there is not much here to do. You also especially need to avoid the Wampas, who are very territorial.

NABOO

Naboo is likely one of the best planets in the Star Wars universe. It is the home of Queen Amidala, as well as Jar Jar Binks and the Gungans (which could be considered a problem if you hate Jar Jar like myself). The planet itself is full of culture and beautiful scenery. Honestly if Naboo is good enough for the Queen it is good enough for me to live.

As long as the Gungans don’t bother you too much, fun fact, Naboo was also the birthplace of the Emperor. As long as you can deal with those two facts, this planet might be the place to be if you can afford it that is.

TATOOINE

Tatooine is known best as being the home of Anakin and Luke Skywalker. When you think of Star Wars, this desert planet with two suns, is the first place that I think of. I think of the land as a farming community but everyone seems to earn their own way and I appreciate that.

Tatooine also has the cantinas, which can be a bit deadly if you don’t know how to work the crowds, but if you do it is the coolest of places to be.

ALDERAAN

Alderaan seems to be one of the most beautiful and desirable planets in the entire galaxy. It was also home of Princess Leia and the Organa family…that is until it was destroyed by the Death Star. Like Naboo, it was known for rolling hills, mountains, waterfalls. It was the planet that everyone wanted to live at, at least until it was blown up due to also being the unofficial home of the Rebel Alliance.

MUSTAFAR

Mustafar is a planet that no one wants to visit. It is comprised almost entirely of lava. It is also known as the planet where Anakin Skywaler was struck down by Obi-Wan Kenobi, setting up his new fate as Darth Vader. What is cool as hell is Darth Vader castle, which is located there but otherwise I couldn’t see a reason for visiting here.

DAGOBAH

Dagobah is a remote swamp planet where Yoda trained Luke Skywalker in the ways of the Force. Since it is a remote planet, there isn’t much population of places to live but if you are crafty like Yoda, you can make a hut and make it work in a very minimalist fashion.

There is no shortage of species though on Dagobah, some small and some big, so you got to pick your battles carefully. If you are looking for a smooth meditative place to get your force together and trained up this might be the place to go.

KASHYYYK

Last but not least is Kashyyyk, which is home to the Wookies. Kashyyyk is a jungle planet covered in giant trees. There are some beautiful beaches and treehouses for living it up and to relax at but there are some strange species here including giant slugs and spiders out there as well, so you better get some Wookies on your side to help keep you safe.

Staind Guitarist Mike Mushok Discusses New Live Album “Live: It’s Been Awhile”

The rock group Staind is back on May 7th with their first release in nine years titled “Live: It’s Been Awhile”. Accompanying the album’s release is a two-night streaming event titled “The Return Of Staind: A Two Part Global Streaming Series”. Media Mikes had the chance recently to talk with Staind guitarist Mike Mushok about the release, the set of streaming performances and the bands plans for going forward.

Adam Lawton: Can you tell us about the decision to release the bands new album now amidst the ongoing pandemic?

Mike Mushok: If this were a record with new material, we would be holding on to it like a lot of other bands are. This was a chance for us to get some material out there as we were trying to put a couple things together at one time. We had filmed the show where we got back together in 2019 at the Foxwoods Casino. We put a lot more than normal into that show and we wanted to capture all of that. Starting May 1st fans can stream that show. The album will come out May 7th and then on May 8th we will be doing another stream celebrating the 20-year anniversary of “Break the Cycle”.

AL: What was it like putting together the “Break the Cycle” show

MM: It is definitely different going out there and performing with no audience. It is almost like a rehearsal that is being filmed. It’s different but, you just get into what you are doing and do the best you can. I thought the venue we chose to film at was great and the lighting looked great as well. I don’t remember how many different cameras were being used but some of what I have seen is really exciting. To go along with the performance is a short documentary which takes fans back to where we were when the album initially was released. I also went back and found a ton of old footage from around that time is well. When I was going through all this stuff, I actually found the footage from our first gig ever in 1995.The cool thing about that was it was filmed about three blocks from where we shot this new performance There’s a lot of other things that fans will get to see besides us performing the record.

AL: How was it as a band revisiting this material?

MM: It was great to be able to go back and revisit such a good time in our career. This was our most successful record and it really changed everything for us. It was cool going back listening to things and relearning that material. There are a few songs that we had never played lived from this record so that was another that was really cool.

AL: The band had plans to go out and tour in 2020 but due to the pandemic those shows were unable to happen. Have there been any talks about trying to reschedule?

MM: We are trying to figure that all out right now. We had originally planned to go out with Disturbed as part of their 20-year celebration of “The Sickness”. That tour was recently cancelled but we are looking at some festival shows in July that we are booked for as well as some shows later in the summer. We are still waiting on confirmation of those so there is still a chance that we will be out there later this year. I think everyone is still just trying to figure stuff out as every place is different which makes things challenging.

AL: How much of an effect did the Pandemic have on the band personally being that you had just gotten back together after some time?

MM: We had a great plan in place, and it was disappointing. I was definitely looking forward to getting back out there. I can’t complain though as other people have gone and continue to go through way worse things. During that first part of things when I was home, and you couldn’t go anywhere it was nice to be able to be with my family and not have to worry about other obligations. It was great to just be together and now things are starting to get back to the way they were and that is nice also. For the band we are looking to regroup and get things back on track. 2021 seems like it is going to be this feeling out period as more and more things change and open.

AL: Your involved with a couple other projects can you give us an update on those?

MM: I have the band Saint Asonia with Adam Gontier who used to be in Three Days Grace. We are working on some new music and hope to have an EP out sometime soon. Staind is also working on some new material as well. Aaron is finishing up a country record at the moment and once that is done, we can start digging through some of the material we have. I am part owner of the Six String Grill and Stage in Foxboro; Massachusetts and we are starting to look at being able to book shows there again later this year. Combine all of that with being a dad and a husband I am pretty busy (Laughs).

Album Review: Lamb of God “Live in Richmond, VA” LP

“Live in Richmond, VA” LP

Lamb of God

Epic Records

Tracks: 10

Our Score: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Originally, released June 19 of 2020Lamb of God’s first new album in five years was met with universal acclaim. The self- titled album landed at number one on the Overall, Rock and Metal iTunes album chart upon release and would then go on to take the coveted #1 spot on Consequences of Sound’s Top 30 Metal + Hard Rock Albums of 2020. “Live in Richmond, VA” was recorded at The Broadberry in the band’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia and gives fans their first live taste of the new material due to the COVID 19 pandemic postponing the bands scheduled spring/summer tour.

When COVID-19 brought the world to a standstill in early 2020 it also brought with it a whole host of questions and problems. For musicians they could no longer support new releases due the traditional routes of promotion being put on hold or cancelled. To combat that artists turned to live streaming performances which fans could watch from the safety of their homes. Lamb of God took that model and ran with it. Over the course of two nights in September of 2020 the band performed their latest self-titled release just as it appears on the studio version. Live albums tend to be hit or miss for me, but I have to say I actually almost prefer the live version of “Lamb of God” to the studio version. Don’t get me wrong the studio version is a great album but this newly released live version really captures the band in their element giving each of the ten songs extra edge and bite. “Momento Mori” and “Resurrection Man” kick off each side of the LP setting the standard high for the tracks which follow. Songs like “Checkmate”, “Gears” and “Poison Dream” pulverize your senses via the razor like vocals of Randy Blythe and the twin guitar attack of Willie Adler and Mark Morton while other songs like “New Colossal Hate”, Bloodshot Eyes” and “On The Hook” go straight in for the kill with thunderous bottom end courtesy of bassist John Campbell and drummer Art Cruz.

This was a record I found myself listening to multiple times in one sitting. A rarity for me as I tend to have a tension span that is a bit on the shorter side especially when it comes to music. The overall mix of the album combined with the bands impressive performance kept me coming back for more even after listening to it in succession. Though I had wished the full live performance had been included on the 150 gram LP as those missing songs would have been a nice bonus but, given the time constraints vinyl present I understand. Thankfully, the complete performance is available in a Deluxe three-disc version of “Lamb of God” which includes the studio version of the record, the live version including two bonus tracks and a live DVD performance. If you missed the initial streams or you want to revisit those performance’s, you will certainly want to grab one of these as you won’t be disappointed.

3.) Gears

4.) Reality Bath

5.) New Colossal Hate

Sponge’s follow up album, the critically lauded “Wax Ecstatic” (Columbia) scored additional top ten Billboard hits including “Wax Ecstatic” and “Have You Seen Mary?” The band’s music was also featured in popular movies “The Craft,” “Chasing Amy,” “Mall Rats,” and “Empire Records.”

First Photographer Niall Fennessy Will Open His Virtual Gallery With An Interview With Stix Zadinia on February 1st at 12:00PM PST

As the music industry waits for a time when touring can return and fans can gather to celebrate the music of their favorite artists again, Steel Panther has begun another charitable endeavor to help support concert photographers that have been sidelined since the Covid-19 pandemic began. Aside from venues, promoters, support staff, and patrons – concert photographers have had no performances to cover since March 2020.

Steel Panther has decided to partner with 7 of their longtime collaborators to curate a virtual photo exhibition of each individual’s work for a 2-week period. Each photographer has captured the band with their lens at various points of their career. Fans can purchase exclusive prints that were hand-picked by the band and photographers in various configurations with the profits going to help each photographer during this touring shutdown. All images are available as a Premium Matte Poster, Framed Print or Framed Canvas with prices starting as low as $24.99.

The photo exhibition will be available to see and purchase here: https://steelpantherrocks.com/pages/sex-jpgs-rock-n-roll.

To coincide with the launch of each gallery, an individual band member will interview the photographer about their work, any memories from covering Steel Panther, and allow fans to interact with them when time permits. The first gallery will be by legendary photographer Niall Fennessy who has been following the band for years. Drummer Stix Zadinia will sit down with Niall at 12:00PM PST on February 1st for a chat.

The conversation will be available online afterwards and fans can go to: https://steelpantherrocks.com/pages/sex-jpgs-rock-n-roll to check out the conversation. A new gallery will be available for fans to peruse and purchase and every 2 weeks.

The schedule for photographers is:

Feb 1: Niall Fennessy – interviewed by Stix

Feb 15: Joe Lester – interviewed by Satchel

Mar 1: Richard Booth – interviewed by Satchel

Mar 15: Evil Robb – interviewed by Michael

Mar 29: Pamela Sprenger – interviewed by Lexxi

Apr 12: Charlie Steffens – interviewed by Michael

Apr 26: David Jackson – interviewed by Stix

“You see them all the time. They block your view for the first 3 songs and you may even kick them in the back of the head while crowd surfing, but these unsung heroes never complain or kick you back. These photographers have been friends of Steel Panther for a while and we decided for all they have done for us, this was the least we can do. So grab your fancy berets and prepare to learn a thing or two from Steel Panther photography exhibit Sex, JPEGS and Rock & Roll. Admission is free so don’t be cheap and buy something to support these artists.”

“SHAME SHAME” VIDEO LIVE NOW AT http://foofighters.co/Shame/youtube

Foo Fighters are taking literally no time to bask in the ecstatic reception to their November 7 Saturday Night Live debut performance of “Shame Shame,” the first taste of the 10th FF album, Medicine at Midnight, due out February 5, 2021 on Roswell Records/RCA Records—well, maybe a few seconds, after all Entertainment Weekly did call it a “hypnotic earworm,” Stereogum lauded its “refreshing twist on their signature sound,” and Billboard noted “a groovy, sexy beat”… and that’s quite enough of that because…

On Saturday, November 14th at 5pm Pacific Time, Foo Fighters will be regrouping to mount a full on rock invasion of your living room, when they play a full set streamed live from the Roxy in Hollywood for any and all who buy a ticket for $15 at http://foofighters.co/Roxy. If you can’t be in front of a TV, tablet, phone, laptop etc. at exactly that time, don’t worry: Ticket buyers will have access to replay the full stream for 48 hours from the start of the show. And if that’s not enough… Limited event merchandise will be available at https://shop.foofighters.com/.

Foo Fighters’ Roxy streaming concert event is brought to you in part by the good people at Coors Light, and will feature innovative new technology custom created for this one of a kind Foo Fighters show: Beer’s Eye View. For 25 years, Coors Light has been on stage – and in hand – with Foo Fighters. Now for the first time, Beer’s Eye View will take fans behind the scenes backstage, into the thick of the action onstage, and to the best seat in the house (the VIB a/k/a Very Important Beer section)—all from the unique perspective of a live “Can Cam” attached to Dave’s own Coors Light.

In other boundary breaking Foo Fighters visual news, the official video for “Shame Shame” has premiered at http://foofighters.co/Shame/youtube. Directed by Paola Kudacki and co-starring Dave Grohl and Sofia Boutella, “Shame Shame” renders in stunning black and white an interpretation of a recurring dream that’s haunted Grohl since his childhood days.

Medicine at Midnight is available for preorder at http://foofighters.co/MAM  with exclusive configurations including a purple smoke vinyl available only through the band’s online store and an indie retail-only blue vinyl, and more to be announced.

Germany holds an important place in the story of Volbeat. They have always supported us and still do. It’s amazing to see the impact the fans have had on Volbeat, we’ve become fans of theirs, too.”
