Best Casino Movies You Can Watch On Netflix

Movies about gambling get a lot of attention from the audience even after the gambling moved from Las Vegas to your smartphone. And some films are not only about thousands of dollars, Moet&Chandon, women in the jewelry, and men in tuxedos. Many of them have head-cracking plots, visual and audial components that make the picture too good to remain unseen. In this article, we’ve collected the top gambling movies you can watch on Netflix while playing your favorite games. But first, let’s see why they are so popular.

Gambling Movies: What Makes Them Demanded?

The reason is simple – they embrace everything human nature is about. They are about passion, greed, love for adventure, danger, win-or-lose attitude, and risk. Gamblers who used to go to the brick-and-mortar casinos watch them get the hyperbolized version of a situation that could happen with them. Those who play online search for similar movies to imagine themselves playing high stakes poker in the casino setting. Some just love Scorsese! And we realize it would be more objective to name what makes a good casino, thanks to the top 10 casinos online review. But today, you’ll have to trust our guts and vision on what we consider a good gambling movie. This is our list of the best gambling films you can find on Netflix today.

The Gambler (2014)

If you want to see a story of gambling addiction, the Gambler is the pick. It embraces the compulsive gambling issue, the financial disaster of it, and the consequences it has for those who can’t stop. It features Mark Wahlberg, Brie Larson, and John Goodman and reveals a story of the former professor who ran into gambling debt and had a week to pay it or be killed. Well, you gotta see what’s a human is capable of doing when he wants to survive.

Casino Royale (2006)

Easily among the most-watched gambling films – and not only because of stunning Eva Green as Vesper Lynd, charismatic James Bond portrayed by Daniel Craig, or the maniac Le Chiffre played by Mads Mikkelsen. Agent 007 is sent to bankrupt Le Chiffre at the high-stake game of Texas Hold-Em in Montenegro. And as you expect from any Bondiana movie, it doesn’t happen very easily. Here you have a political background, a professional poker player who finances the terrorists, the desire for vengeance, a love story, and suspense. All that gracefully wrapped up in the high fashion costumes, mannerism, and the shaken-not-stirred kind of precision.

Ocean’s Eleven (2001)

One of the highest-grossing films with a stellar cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, and Matt Damon among others. The plot revolves around robbing the top Las Vegas casinos: Bellagio, MGM Grand Casino, and the Mirage. This is a movie where the heist, technology, and security faults are mixed in the heart-stopping picture with the themes of trust, friendship, and peculiar justice lead the way.

Casino (1995)

When Martin Scorsese invites Robert de Niro to collaborate on a film, you know it will be a good watch. The Casino is exactly that situation. Starring also Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci, the movie tells about the member of the Chicago Outfit criminal syndicate that came to supervise (and skim) the hotel and casino in Las Vegas. The explosive mix of family drama, corrupt politicians, deception, and friendship-turned-hatred won’t leave anyone indifferent. What is peculiar about the plot is the back-to-where-it-started narrative technique.

Croupier (1998)

How about a double-life story of a casino worker by night and a novel writer by day? How about a good neo-noir portion of the impeccable set-up game that holds you breathless for quite a time? Or about the other side of the casino gambling life with mobsters, creditors, attempted robbery, and murder as punishment? That’s what the Croupier with Clive Owen is about.

Molly’s Game (2017)

As one of the newest films on the list, this crime drama is based on true events that happened in LA and NYC during the early 2010s. It features Jessica Chastain as Molly Bloom, a former athlete to perform on the Olympics who suffered a trauma and had to quit big sports. This is a biopic about her rise and fall as the most famous woman in the history of illegal gambling. After started running the high-stakes unofficial poker tournaments in LA and NYC, Molly’s activity and connections became suspicious to the FBI. As the tournaments involved not only celebrities but also Russian and Italian mafia members, this became a security issue and initiated the police operation. The movie also pictures the addiction theme, pressure, and violence of the underground gambling world that the heroine encounters.

21 (2008)

Another gem of the gambling classics. The movie stars Kevin Spacey, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Bosworth, Jim Sturgess. It tells a story about the MIT students who figured the Math side of the Blackjack. “21” is also based on the real stories of the students who learned to count the cards to win the Blackjack games. Having organized a group, they go to Las Vegas to win jackpots and shatter the casino system – and face some problems.

We tried to come up with movies that would be based on real events, created as a complete fiction, or use some names as references to the era. Hopefully, this list has something you’d like to watch and add a fictional reality to your online gambling experience.

Product Feature: “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” – Tanjiro Kamado Watch

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” has quickly become one of my favorite anime of 2020. The show packs it all – horror, drama and action into its first season of 26 episodes. The first movie, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train” is currently blowing up the box office in Japan with a scheduled release of 2021 in the U.S. This anime shows no signs of slowing down as it takes over the world. But the anime isn’t stopping with just these episodes and the movie…

SuperGroupies, a fashion brand offering products inspired by anime and games, has delivered 12 new items based on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. This collection includes a watch, bag, and wallet inspired by four of the main characters; Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Giyu Tomioka. All of the items are designed with meaningful motifs such as the details of the character’s outfits, Kasugai Crows and more.

One that we will be showcasing today is a black x green watch inspired by Tanjiro Kamado. The second hand and an index are in red, inspired by his hair and eye color. The center of the dial has a Japanese traditional checkered pattern inspired by his haori with an embossed motif of his earrings. The lining of the strap is colored green and the word “滅” (metsu) on the Demon Slayer Corps uniform is designed on the case back.

This watch is sleek and really sharp looking. The colors really pop and completely remind you of the character Tanjiro Kamado. SuperGroupies did an amazing job with this watch matching it to the character. If you are a fan of the anime series, you are going to want to have this watch for sure.

About KNIFE FIGHT:
If a political candidate is personally flawed, but stands to make a positive difference in millions of lives, would you help him win? That question looms over the life of “true believer” Paul Turner (Rob Lowe), a savvy strategist sharply maneuvering politicians out of scandal and into public office. With the help of a bright young assistant (Jamie Chung) and a seedy operative (Richard Schiff), Turner spins every news cycle and a shrewd reporter (Julie Bowen) on behalf of his clients: a philandering Kentucky governor (Eric McCormick), a blackmailed California senator (David Harbour), and an idealistic doctor turned gubernatorial candidate (Carrie-Anne Moss). When the ugly side of Turner’s work begins to haunt him, he learns that even in the bloodiest of battles, sometimes you have to fight clean.

KNIFE FIGHT is a smart, crackling, comedic “inside look” at what happens behind closed doors in modern American politics. Two-time Academy Award-winning director Bill Guttentag teamed with renowned political consultant Chris Lehane to create this political story for the new century. As the November election approaches, KNIFE FIGHT pulls back the curtain on the “real truth” of the political process.
