The Crystal Coconut definitely granted ALESTORM fans their wish: the visionary world travelers have officially entered the recording studio and will return with their upcoming album, CurseoftheCrystalCoconut, to be released via Napalm Records in summer 2020. This release will mark the band’s sixth studio album, and promises new anthems bursting with the chaotic energy ALESTORM fans have come to love. Prepare yourself for a level of epic symphonic folk metal insanity that no other band on the high seas could ever aim to touch!
ALESTORM’s latest album, No Grave But The Sea, was a worldwide success – reaching #1 on the US Heatseekers album charts, #14 on the German album charts and other top 20 placements in Austria, New Zealand, Switzerland and Belgium. Grab your best rum, take a swig and hold tight – further album details will be revealed soon (but let’s hope King K. Rool doesn’t steal the demos first).
ALESTORM on Curse of the Crystal Coconut:“Oh wow, humans of planet Earth! We’re super excited to announce that today we have entered Krabi Road Studios in Thailand to begin the recording of the 6thALESTORM album, which will be called Curse of the Crystal Coconut! We may or may not have stolen that title from Donkey Kong. Anyway, we’ll be here for the next 3 weeks recording 13-ish songs, some of which will be so absolutely terrible that they’ll never see the light of day. The ones that somehow turn out alright will be released on Napalm Records sometime in the early summer! LOTS OF UPDATES COMING SOON, stay tuned and we’ll tell you all about it.”

When it comes to gaming, I have a feeling that the next level is definitely going to be virtual reality. VR gaming has taken a major jump in the last few years and only getting more and more popular. The new Oculus Quest is the first All-in-one VR Gaming Headset that comes with everything you need to explore VR, right out of the box. You don’t need a Playstation 4 or a fancy PC, this All-in-one device does it all while also launching with original games and experiences like “Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series”, which is some next level gaming. Right there alone, this device is going to be worth the purchase.
The Oculus Quest comes in two options, 64 GB size and 128 GB. Personally, I have done some reseach and the 64 GB edition should be enough for the average user but if you are a hardcore gamer and looking to load up the device with games you might want to spring for the bigger option. The Quest does NOT have an expandable MicroSD, so if you go 64 GB you would need to delete games eventually to get new ones. One of my favorite games on the Oculus Rift is “Beat Saber” and that game requires 2.34GB of storage and other Rift titles like “The Climb” require nearly 13 GB of storage. I assume the sizes could be different on the Quest but just for comparison. Personally, I can’t imagine “Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series” being less than 10 GB to download. So I think that even though it is $100 bucks more, the 128GB edition might be the safe if you want to be able to store more games.
Personally, I love being inside a virtual reality world. I would stay there permanently if I could. If you have ready the book or the movie “Ready Player One”, you can see that coming in the future. I think it is just a matter of time before this is embraced more and used as the norm. I can see everything in VR in the future from food shopping to school and casinos. How cool would it be to be in a virtual reality casino? In the meantime, while we wait for all that to happen you can check out Casinohex.jpから最高のオンラインカジノ the translation in case you need it for better understanding : Best online casinos from Casinohex.jp. I think the possibilities are endless and can only be limited by our own imaginations.
One of the coolest features that the Oculus Quest has is Insight tracking. The Oculus Insight tracking system instantly reflects your movements in VR without the need for any external accessories. It also has Oculus Touch controllers, which precisely recreate your hands, their gestures and interactions. So with the tracking system and the controllers combined you are really made you feel like you are in the VR world. I have to just admit though hands down the main reason why the Oculus Quest is going to change VR is it’s beyond room-scale. You don’t have to lug any big wires around or be teathered to a computer or device. The Oculus Quest works with your environment and you are able to play either standing or sitting or even in spaces big or small. Sign me up this Spring!
Launches video for first single, “Raven’s Flight”, featuring Josh Barnett (ex-UFC), Erick Rowan (WWE), and more
On May 3rd, Amon Amarth will release their 11th full-length, Berserker, via Metal Blade Records (North America)/Sony Music (International)! For a preview of the album, the video for the first single, “Raven’s Flight”, can be viewed at:http://www.amonamarth.com
Directed by Roboshobo, “Raven’s Flight” will be the first of a trilogy of music videos from Berserker, each one increasingly epic in its scope, further immersing the viewer in the world of Amon Amarth. Much like the songs on Berserker, the videos present Amon Amarth to its fullest. The cast features Josh Barnett as “the Berserker” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Barnett) and Erick Rowan as “Thor” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erick_Rowan), among others.
To pre-order Berserker, please visit amonamarth.lnk.to/berserker – where the album is available in the following formats: –digipak-CD –deluxe box set [digipak-CD, shield (~12″x12″), patch (~4″x4″) – limited to 500 copies in US] –opaque white w/ black splatter vinyl (limited to 1200 copies) –opaque white w/ silver haze vinyl (retail exclusive – limited to 1300 copies) –clear w/ red splatter vinyl (webstore exclusive – limited to 750 copies) –black w/ red haze vinyl (webstore exclusive – limited to 750 copies)
Comprising 12 monstrous heavy metal anthems that bulge with irresistible melodic hooks, bursts of thrilling savagery and moments of spine-tingling dynamic drama, Berserker is the result of the huge surge of creativity and a collective desire to keep moving forward with no compromise.
From the disarming melodrama and explosive riffing of opener “Fafner’s Gold” and the brutish simplicity of the rampaging “Crack The Sky” to the epic fury of “Raven’s Flight” and the grim, gritty storytelling of “Ironside” and “Skoll and Hati”, Berserker is an album full of trademark Amon Amarth bluster and bite but with every aspect of the band’s sound somehow refined, sonically enhanced and made vastly more potent, both in terms of metal oomph and emotional power.
Neatly summing up the spirit behind these exhilarating new songs is the album’s semi-title track, “The Berserker At Stamford Bridge”: a visceral but vivid historical tale, recounting the Vikings last stand against the English army in 1066 and the mind-bending heroics of one axe-wielding warrior.
Showcasing an undeniable and startling upgrade for every aspect of Amon Amarth‘s iconic sound, Berserker was recorded in Los Angeles with renowned studio guru Jay Ruston (Anthrax/Stone Sour) manning the controls. After recording several rounds of professional demos for the new songs (initially with fellow Swedish metal icon Peter Tägtgren and then later with Ruston himself) the band crossed the Atlantic to make final the recordings in LA, eager to take a fresh approach to the album-making process.
“For me, this is Amon Amarth 2.0,” vocalist Johan Hegg declares. “I think what we’ve done here is give ourselves the space to explore other parts of our musicality and who we are as a band. If you’re content with where you’re at, what’s the point of continuing? We always want to come up with new ideas and find new ways of doing things and to create bigger and better shows and really try to improve every aspect of what the band is. We want to try to keep growing and to do this for as long as we have the possibility to do so, because this is the best fucking job in the world.”

A SOUND OF THUNDER will release its seventh studio album and companion graphic novel entitled It Was Metal on June 15, 2018. Recorded at Assembly Line Studios with producer Kevin ‘131’ Gutierrez (Shinedown, Believer, Raven), the album features eleven new songs and features guest appearances by Mark Tornillo (Accept) and Tony Carey (Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Planet P Project). The stunning triple-gatefold album cover featuring band mascot Udoroth is provided by artist Dusan Markovic (Powerwolf, Death Dealer).
Opening track “Phantom Flight” features a duet between ASoT vocalist Nina Osegueda and Accept vocalist Mark Tornillo.
“Atlacatl” recants the legend of the titular Salvadorian folk hero and was recorded as a tribute to Osegueda’s father who hails from El Salvador.
“Obsidian & Gold (Desdinova Returns)” features a guest appearance by keyboard player Tony Carey, who in addition to a lenghty and succesful career as a solo artist and with Planet P Project, is best known among metal fans for playing on the seminal Rainbowalbums Rising and On Stage.
“Els Segadors (The Reapers)” is a reimagining of the Catalonian national anthem. It became a viral hit for the band in the aftermath of the fall 2017 Catalonian independence referendum, leading to ASoT’s first European tour.
“Tomyris” tells the true historical tale of the near Eastern warrior queen who defeated and killed Cyrus the Great of Persia in 530 BC.
“Fortress of the Future Race” is a sequel of sorts to the title track of the band’s third album Time’s Arrow.
The band launched a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for It Was Metal on Friday, September 22nd with a funding goal of $30,000. The campaign raised over $22,000 in the first 24 hours alone. The campaign ultimately raised $66,246, making it the most successful campaign by a metal band ever on Kickstarter. A SOUND OF THUNDER has become well known as a pioneer of crowd-funding, with over $166,000 raised by its fans to date across several campaigns, making it the most funded metal band ever on the Kickstarter platform.
After a successful collaboration with comics publisher Valiant Entertainment on the dark concept album Tales from the Deadside (based on Valiant’s Shadowman comics) in 2015, and the fan-club exclusive covers album Who Do You Think We Are? in 2016, A SOUND OF THUNDER returns to a faster, traditional metal style with It Was Metal.
Guitarist Josh Schwartz shares his thoughts on the album: “This album is fast, powerful, and catchy as hell. In short, it’s heavy metal rocket fuel! We are confident it’s going to be a fan favorite. We delved into a darker, more atmospheric sound on the last couple of albums. We set out to do something different this time. The mission statement was to write fast, heavy, catchy songs that are fun to play and fun to listen to. I think we’ve accomplished that goal and then some. This is an album meant to be blasted in your car while you speed down the highway at 100mph singing along at the top of your lungs.”
According to vocalist Nina Osegueda, the album includes “some of the most fun, inspired, adrenaline inducing music we’ve ever written and I can’t wait to play it live.”
The It Was Metal graphic novel features original comic stories by top comic talent from Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Valiant Entertainment. Original stories based on each song from the album take fans on an audio-visual journey that is greater than the sum of its parts. Tales of science fiction, horror, fantasy, and history combine with A SOUND OF THUNDER‘s unique brand of metal music for an unforgettable experience.
It Was Metal is available for pre-order now at all digital music outlets. CD, vinyl, and paperback book formats are available for exclusive pre-order at the band’s website, www.asoundofthunderband.com.

You’ve drenched yourselves in gasoline, and now GWAR offers you a light. The finish line of the human race is at last within reach. Scream it now at the top of your lungs…”Fuck This Place!”
“The Blood of Gods” is nothing less than a sacred text chronicling the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that is uptight and wrong with the world. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of their great mistake, from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Heavy metal band A Sound of Thunder will release its fourth full-length album“The Lesser Key of Solomon” on September 9th worldwide on Mad Neptune Records. The album was produced by RIAA multi-platinum-awarded producer Kevin ‘131’ Gutierrez (While Heaven Wept, Raven, Shinedown). The heavy riff-laden songs are complex yet instantly catchy, featuring razor-sharp musicianship and the lung-busting performances of powerhouse classically-trained vocalist Nina Osegueda.
“If your erection lasts longer than four hours, you probably listened to our new album. Also, you’re welcome” jokes Osegueda. “On a serious note, this album is our best work to date. The songwriting and performances from the band are on another level. The album was a joy to make and that comes through in the final recording.”
Hot off the 2013 release of “Time’s Arrow”, their best-selling and best reviewed release to date, A Sound of Thunder was brimming with confidence and eager to get back into the recording studio. With too many musical ideas for just one album, the band selected only its darkest and most atmospheric material for “The Lesser Key of Solomon”. The result is an ominous collection of songs united by supernatural themes. The album represents the fulfillment of a promise to A Sound of Thunder’s fans, known as the “Legion of Thunder”, who funded the album via the Kickstarter crowd-funding platform in the autumn of 2013, raising over $23,000.
“The Lesser Key of Solomon”, running time 61 minutes, features 10 of A Sound of Thunder’s most intense yet nuanced songs, exploring territory which is simultaneously heavier and more atmospheric than ever before. The steel-armored wail of prodigal vocalist Nina Osegueda (called by some “the lovechild of Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson”) tops off deft performances by a band that knows how to deliver the goods. From the demonic fire of “Udoroth”, to the crushing Dio-esque “Master of Pain”, to the sweeping scope and dark theatricality of “Elijah”, A Sound of Thunder delivers a timeless album full of metal classics.
The Lesser Key Of Solomon available as a digital download, compact disc, and limited deluxe vinyl-book format.
Tracklisting includes: Nexus Of Realities, Udoroth, Fortune Teller, The Boy Who Could Fly, Elijah, Master Of Pain, Blood From The Mummys Tomb, Black Secrets, One Empty Grave, House Of Bones
2014’s Most Anticipated New Theme Park Experience Opens This Summer and Brings More of Harry Potters Adventures to Life
Expansive New Area Will Feature Something for Everyone:
The Hogwarts Express, A Groundbreaking Ride, Plus Spectacular Shops and Dining
ORLANDO, Fla. (January 23, 2014) Never before has a theme park created a guest experience like this: you climb aboard the Hogwarts Express in Hogsmeade and moments later arrive at Kings Cross Station where the wonders of London and Diagon Alley unfold before you. And it is all real.
With this summers opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley, Universal Orlando Resort and Warner Bros. Entertainment will bring even more of Harry Potters adventures to life inside a new, magnificently themed area that includes a revolutionary attraction experience, as well as all-new themed shops and dining.
The two companies today revealed first-ever details about the new area and the one-of-a-kind adventures it will offer the whole family. The spectacularly themed environment will double the size of the sweeping area already dedicated to Harry Potters adventures at Universal Orlando, expanding it across both Universal theme parks.
And just like in the books and films guests will be able to travel between the two areas aboard the iconic Hogwarts Express.
Universal Orlando launched a global phenomenon when it opened The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade at its Islands of Adventure theme park in 2010.
