Limited Anniversary Editions of 1995 Debut Album Out December 4th: Deluxe Digipak CD, Splattered Vinyl 2LP and HD Digital
It was 25 years ago to the day, 25 September 1995, that Rammstein emerged from Berlin with its debut album, Herzeleid.
To celebrate this first indelible impact on global hard rock history, Rammstein and Vertigo/UMe will release limited, remastered editions of the band’s groundbreaking debut on December 4th 2020.
Herzeleid (XXV Anniversary Edition – Remastered) will feature the album’s original tracklist on a single CD, housed in a lavish, cross-shaped digipak with deluxe slipcase, and, for the first time ever, the remastered album with HD sound will be available digitally.
In addition, there will be a 2LP version with a slipcase containing two 180 gram heavyweight black vinyl discs with blue splatter effect. The creator of the original artwork, Dirk Rudolph, is also responsible for the Anniversary Edition packaging. The booklets also contain the original band portraits shot by Praler. Both the CD and vinyl editions are strictly limited.

“If we define fun as the unknowing acceleration of time, then Rammstein’s particular brand of self-obliteration, in which time collapses entirely, is a guaranteed good time” —THE NEW YORKER
“Go for the fireballs, stay for the self-mythologizing and angst” —THE NEW YORK TIMES
“The commitment to excessive pyromania was epic stagecraft on a Wagnerian scale, several notches up from most arena rock. More important was that the six-piece band… wasn’t dependent on those fireworks but could have easily punished and soothed the senses to nearly the same effect with music alone.” —THE LOS ANGELES TIMES
“One of heavy music’s biggest and most dynamic live acts” —CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

RAMMSTEIN’s six-man lineup CHRISTOPH SCHNEIDER, FLAKE LORENZ, OLIVER RIEDEL, PAUL LANDERS, RICHARD Z. KRUSPE, and TILL LINDEMANN, has remained unchanged since the band’s 1994 formation and 1995 release of its debut album, HERZELEID. RAMMSTEIN’s second album, SEHNSUCHT, released in 1997, propelled the band to international fame and featured the GRAMMY-nominated single “DU HAST.” MUTTER, the third RAMMSTEIN album, was released in 2001 and was supported by what would be the band’s final U.S. tour for nearly a decade. REISE, REISE, the band’s fourth studio album, was released in 2004, preceded by the GRAMMY-nominated single “MEIN TEIL” and followed by fifth album ROSENROT in 2005. LIEBE IST FÜR ALLE DA, the sixth RAMMSTEIN studio album, was released in 2009 and reached #13 on the Billboard 200, making it RAMMSTEIN’s highest-charting album in the U.S. up to that point. LIFAD would be the first RAMMSTEIN album since 2001’s MUTTER to be supported by North American touring: On December 11, 2010, RAMMSTEIN played its first U.S. date in 10 years, a one-off headline at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The MSG show sold out in less than 20 minutes and was followed by extensive North American Tours in 2011 and 2012, which would sell out venues including the Forum in Los Angeles, Chicago’s Allstate Arena, the Bell Centre in Montreal and more. RAMMSTEIN made its debut on U.S. network television during the 2011 tour, performing “DU HAST” and “FEUER FREI!” on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! There is nothing better to do while listening to this great music than trying out some video poker double up online.
RAMMSTEIN broke into the U.S. Top 10 for the first time with the May 17, 2019 release of its untitled seventh album, which entered at #9 on the Billboard 200. Produced by Olsen Involtini with RAMMSTEIN, the untitled record is comprised of 11 new RAMMSTEIN tracks including singles “AUSLANDER,” “RADIO” and “DEUTSCHLAND,” which have amassed combined streams and views exceeding 200 million. The release of the album was followed by the sold-out Europe Stadium Tour 2019, which ran May 17 through August 23, 2019.
Rammstein’s long awaited seventh album is finally here! The untitled
release hit the shelves in the United States on May 17 via Caroline and consists
of 11 new tracks produced by Olsen Involtini and the Rammstein. The album which
features the singles “Radio” and “Deutschland” is the German based bands first
studio album since 2009’s “LIEBE IST FÜR ALLE DA” which peaked at number 13 on
the U.S Billboard 200.
After a 10 year recording hiatus German
industrialist’s Rammstein are back with a hard hitting package of 11 new songs
which certainly make up for the bands extended absence. It doesn’t matter you
go for the CD, Digital Download or the 2 LP version (like us) you will not be
disappointed. Prior to this release I had always gotten my Rammstein fix in CD
or Digital forms. Given the nature of the music I had always felt it would sound
best on these formats. With untitled though I decided to give the 2 LP version
of the release a try. Needless to say I was not disappointed as the vinyl
delivered! The heavy weight vinyl set at 45rpm’s gives the guitars and drums a
tight, robust sound that mixed nicely with the electronic and vocal elements of
the record. Tracks like “Radio”, “Sex” and, “Weit Weg” are all heavy hitters
that will get you moving while more subdued tracks “Was Ich Liebe” and “Hallomann”
paint eerie landscapes that could easily be the soundtrack to your favorite
thriller or horror film.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder and that is
definitely my sentiment as it pertains to the latest offering from Rammstein.
The band along with producer Olsen Involtini has put together a great sounding
release that is diverse enough to allow for consecutive listens time and time
again. The double LP version of the release offers a little something extra for
fans as it included 6 beautiful prints of the band (one for each member)
printed on high quality paper stock suitable for framing. The only negative I
found was that the LP version did also contain a digital version thus making it
impossible (without a second purchase) to obtain a mobile version of the album.
If this is something you can do without I highly recommend the vinyl however,
if you are on the go and don’t have a lot of time to sit down and listen to an
album then the digital or CD version of the release will still provide you an equally

Director: Jonas Akerlund
Runtime: 128 minutes
Our score: 4 out of 5 stars
German industrial metalers Rammstein are set to release a new concert film on May 19th titled “Rammstein: Paris”. Shot over the course of two nights at the Palais Omnisports arena in Paris in front of 17,000 by Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund the film features 22 songs from the band’s expansive repertoire. The end result is not only the most spectacular collection of imagery from one of Germanys most successful bands, but also a masterpiece of music cinema, capturing Rammstein’s energy as a unique visual and sonic experience.
Being no stranger to Rammstein’s concert films featuring the bands over the top theatrics I was very eager to check out the band’s latest release “Paris”. Needless to say I was not disappointed. From the bands over the top entrance which has them walking through the crowd in a stoic procession like fashion before being lifted up to the rafters by industrialized scaffolding to the closing number “Pussy” which features front man Til Lindemann mounting a phallic like device only to douse the crowd in a mystery substance as it moved across the front of the stage. No one does a live show quite like Rammstein and I am sure attempting to film a show this immense was no small feel however director Jonas Akerland and his crew nailed it making this one of the better live releases from the band.
Though I found some of the special effects used to be a bit too much causing portions of the film to be difficult to watch due to their frantic nature “Rammstein: Paris” is a film fans of concert DVD’s have to check out. Having seen a large amount of live films from all different genres I don’t think I have seen any other band take such a cinematic approach with their filming. Lots of different angles and top notch sound made up any short comings I may have found. With the variety of formats the concert is set to be released in you owe it to yourself to check one out.
