World Tour With Dates Alongside Metallica, Alter Bridge,
Def Leppard/Motley Crüe Continues With Many More To Be Announced
https://www.mammothwvh.com

With the band in the middle of an extensive European tour and their debut single “Another Celebration at the End of the World” in the Top 10 at Active Rock radio in the US, Mammoth WVH – the brainchild of Wolfgang Van Halen – is releasing another song from the upcoming album. “Take A Bow” is the third song released from the 10-track album Mammoth II that is slated for release on August 4th via BMG. “Take A Bow” is the longest track on the record and in the Mammoth WVH catalog clocking in at 6:54. The song is anchored by Wolfgang’s memorable lyrics, driving rhythm section and unforgettable guitar solo that was played on the original Frankenstein guitar and through his father’s original amps. The song is available via all digital service providers and anyone that pre-orders the album digitally will receive the track as an instant download. A lyric video for the new song can be seen here: https://youtu.be/Uo3QeXqkQcU.

“It was the last song we finished. It’s officially the longest song I’ve released to date, and I feel the guitar solo is really special. I played the solo on the original Frankenstein guitar and through Dad’s original Marshall head and one of the original cabinets. It’s straight up what he used on the earliest Van Halen records. It makes me happy to capture some of dad’s history on this song forever,” explains Wolfgang.

Continuing the tradition of writing all of the songs and performing all of the instrumentation and vocals himself, GRAMMY® Award nominee Wolfgang Van Halen set out to challenge himself to expand his sound beyond what people had already come to know him for. From the rocking opener “Right?” to Beatles-esque fade on closer “Better Than You” Mammoth II showcases the growth of Wolfgang as a songwriter, musician and especially vocalist. Songs like “Miles Above Me,” “I’m Alright” and “Waiting” are all sonically different from each other but unique to what Mammoth WVH is. The debut single from Mammoth II is the upbeat rocker “Another Celebration at the End of the World” and the video is an 8:25 introduction to the Mammoth WVH live band that was directed by Gordy De St. Jeor. The video can be seen here: https://youtu.be/yIQH0HcdQnE. A lyric video for the instant grat track and new live show favorite “Like A Pastime” was released and can be seen here: https://youtu.be/I04dvZMsH3M. Recorded at the legendary 5150 studio, Mammoth II was produced by friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette and is available for pre-order in multiple configurations here: https://MammothWVH.lnk.to/MammothIIPR.

The track listing for Mammoth II is:

1. Right?
2. Like a Pastime
3. Another Celebration at the End of the World
4. Miles Above Me
5. Take a Bow
6. Optimist
7. I’m Alright
8. Erase Me
9. Waiting
10. Better Than You

Mammoth WVH is currently in the middle of a European tour in advance of the release of Mammoth II. The live band – comprised of Wolfgang Van Halen (vocals/guitars/keyboards), Frank Sidoris (guitars), Jon Jourdan (guitars), Ronnie Ficarro (Bass) and Garrett Whitlock (drums) – have been performing shows in support of Metallica on their M72 World tour and other dates with Alter Bridge along with select headline dates and various festival appearances overseas. Mammoth WVH will return to the US and Canada for more touring in August alongside Alter Bridge and Sevendust as well as other dates with Metallica and Pantera. More dates will be announced in the near future tickets for all Mammoth WVH appearances can be found here: https://www.mammothwvh.com.

“DIO: Dreamers Never Die,” which world premiered at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, enjoyed a special event theatrical release in more than 600 cinemas worldwide last fall and is available on SHOWTIME.

Of the film, Reel News Daily wrote: “This film stunned me from the first frames. I expected to like it, but I never expected to fall madly in love with the film and the man. This is truly one of the best music docs I’ve seen. I can’t recommend this film enough.”

“DIO: Dreamers Never Die” delves deep into the singer’s incredible rise from a ‘50s doo-wop crooner to his early rock days in Elf and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, to replacing Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, and finally cementing his rock star status with his own band, DIO. The film incorporates never-before-seen footage and personal photos, as well as offering intimate scenes with his closest peers, family, and friends, among them Wendy Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Glenn Hughes, Vinny Appice, Lita Ford, Rob Halford, Sebastian Bach, Eddie Trunk, and Jack Black, as they bring viewers inside the life of one of rock and roll’s true heroes and most beloved figures.

Dio’s widow and longtime manager, Wendy Dio, who executive produced the film, commented: “I wanted this documentary to be authentic, for the fans to see the roller coaster ride that was Ronnie’s life—the good times, the bad times and everything in between, especially including events that even the most diehard fans would not have known about. It’s all in there, right up to the very end.”

In addition to SXSW, the film was showcased at the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto, IFF Boston, DocsLisboa International Film Festival, the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival in Korea, the Athens International Film & Video Festival and Gimme Shelter Film Festival in Athens, Greece. Last October, it won the Audience Award at the In-Edit International Music Documentary Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain.

Fully authorized by the artist’s estate, “DIO: Dreamers Never Die” was directed by Don Argott and Demian Fenton (Framing John DeLorean, Believer, Last Days Here), produced by Don Argott and Sheena Joyce for 9.14 Pictures, and executive produced by Wendy Dio for Niji Productions and Kathy Rivkin Daum for BMG.

Ronnie James Dio, who died of gastric cancer in 2010, reigns as one of the most influential rock artists of all time and one of the greatest vocalists ever. With an illustrious recording career spanning from the 1950’s through to the 2000’s, the documentary follows his trajectory from sideman into singer, songwriter and frontman of not one, but three, of rock’s internationally-renowned, multi-Platinum-selling arena attractions: Rainbow, Black Sabbath and DIO. Famous for popularizing the ‘devil horns’ hand gesture that is now synonymous with hard rock and heavy metal music, Dio was known for not wavering in his pursuit of his rock and roll dreams and continues to influence a new generation of music artists. His fans the world over remember him not only for his massive talent, but for his kindness, resulting in millions of dollars raised for cancer research in his memory via the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.

Argott and Fenton said, “People who have conviction, talent and heart like Ronnie James Dio are in short supply these days. It is refreshing to share his inspiring story of believing in yourself and chasing your dreams. As life-long DIO fans, it is incredibly humbling to bring Ronnie’s journey to the screen, and we can’t wait to share it with audiences.”

“SWEET OBLIVION TOUR” BEGINS OCTOBER 13

Baroness return with their highly-anticipated sixth album, STONE, on Sept. 15 via Abraxan Hymns.

“An important through line in Baroness is we don’t like to repeat ourselves,” John Baizley explains. “It’s all about the willingness to take risks. When I was younger, the whole point of music was to be different, not to do the same thing, and not to listen to parents or play by the rules. That’s kind of goofy, but in practice, it works. It’s really sort of terrifying to be at the sixth record in your career and think that you’ll have to keep up with your history rather than continually invent. So, we doubled down on continuously inventing to see where it takes us. I think this record is a good reflection of that. STONE is a lot more alive, more direct.”

That voluntary evolution brought the now Philadelphia-meets-Brooklyn based band to the border town of Barryville, N.Y. Electing to self-produce STONE, Baroness spent a month shrouded amidst the pines, holed up in a vacation rental that became an impromptu recording space replete with big, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and brick/glass walls. While they wrote STONE, Baizley recorded and pre-mixed it in real time, giving each song on STONE its own sonic treatment. After the group finished tracking drums, guitars, and bass, they took everything back to Baizley’s basement studio to record vocals before handing the album off to mix master Joe Barresi (Kyuss, Tool) and mastering guru Bob Ludwig (Led Zeppelin, Nirvana).

“The recording process was completely self-contained,” adds Sebastian Thomsen. “Having just the four of us in a rented house in the mountains for a month resulted in not only a cohesive and authentic sound, but also an intense collective mentality.”

“I think we were able to strip everything away on this record,” Gina Gleason shares. “We were unified in that. So, we just jumped in and did our best. That felt really good. It was a really cool, empowering, creative experience.”

The band offer a preview of the stirring new album with today’s release of “Last Word,” and its accompanying Nick Jost-directed video. “I had been developing this process for video and animation, and this being our first self-produced album, we thought ‘why not extend that ethos to the video, too?’” explains the Baroness bass player. “It was really nerve racking to direct and create my first music video, but having a lifetime of nightmares and a love for strange animation turned out to be very useful.”

STONE pre-orders and pre-saves are available now (https://baroness.lnk.to/STONE). The album features original cover art by John Baizley and is available on a variety of formats, including an indie exclusive LP and ten limited-edition custom vinyl variants themed after each song on the album and designed by Baizley himself, as well as CD, a limited-edition deluxe CD featuring a bonus disc of live tracks recorded on the “Your Baroness” tour, and a limited blue cassette.

Concert Review: The Doobie Brothers – 50th Anniversary Tour

  • The Doobie Brothers – 50th Anniversary Tour
  • Starlight Theater
  • Kansas City, Missouri

Some of my fondest musical memories came courtesy of the Doobie Brothers.  I still remember the episode of “What’s Happening!” where the boys got caught sneaking a tape recorder into one of the band’s concerts.  My high school kitchen band – that’s where we rehearsed – used to do a kick ass version of “China Grove.”  When he was younger, my son and his mother used to sing along to “Black Water” every day on the ride to school.  And I loved how almost every photo of Tom Johnston in the mid-70s showed him wearing a “Jaws” t-shirt!  The band went from being big to being HUGE once Michael McDonald came on board, with the band winning four Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year for “What a Fool Believes.”  Like most bands, the members eventually went their seperate ways and I’ve seen both the Doobies and Michael McDonald in the past.  But never todgether.  Until now!

Patrick Simmons

Kicking off their amazing (24) song set with “Take Me in Your Arms (Rock Me a Little While),” the band took myself and a sold out Starlight Theater crowd on an amazing trip down memory lane.  The vocals were solid and the music was tight, as 50-years of music poured over the willing crowd who sang along at every chance.

Michael McDonald

Other well known songs, including “You Belong to Me,” “It Keeps You Runnin’,” and “Takin’ It to the Streets” were mixed in with great album cuts like “South City Midnight Lady” and “Eyes of Silver” kept the crowd up on their feet and dancing all night.  Other highlights included a rousing version of “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” with McDonald at his most soulful and a great cover of Steely Dan’s “Pretzel Logic.”

Besides founding member Patrick Simmons, along with long time Doobie’s McDonald and John McFee, the band included long time touring members John Cowan on bass and the amazing Marc Russo on the saxophone.

STONE GOSSARD, REGAN HAGAR RELEASE NEW BRAD SINGLE “HEY NOW WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?”

RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO FROM THEIR FINAL PROJECT
“HEY NOW WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?”

Loosegroove Records recording artists, Seattle-based band, BRAD, today release their new song and video “Hey Now What’s The Problem?” from the upcoming LP, In The Moment That You’re Born, out July 28.

BRAD’s new single shows off the members’ rock-n-roll roots unleashing distorted power chords from guitarist Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam), driving drums and bass guitar from Regan Hagar (BRAD, Satchel, Malfunkshun) and Keith Lowe, and, as always, passionate vocals from the late singer Shawn Smith.

The video, directed by creator, drummer and Loosegroove co-founder, BRAD’s Regan Hagar, mashes together footage from older BRAD performances with imagery from horror films and iconic pop culture movies and television.

“Hey Now What’s The Problem?” is released on the heels of the band’s first single and video in over a decade, “In The Moment That You’re Born”. That song was released on the 30-year anniversary of BRAD’s acclaimed debut album Shame released on April 27, 1993 on Epic Records.

Shame featured original music that stood as a counterpoint to the music that was coming out of Seattle during that time featuring Shawn Smith’s haunting vocal ability intertwined with the musicianship of the band.

To further mark the anniversary of that landmark LP, pre-orders have begun for limited-edition vinyl reissues of the music. The vinyl will be available in various packaging configurations and released on July 28, 2023 (Pre-order link).

The LP, In The Moment That You’re Born features 10 new self-produced recordings with vocals by Shawn Smith in recording sessions prior to his 2019 passing. The tracks include a new version of “Stars N’ You”; written by the late Seattle musician Andrew Wood (Mother Love Bone, Malfunkshun). The song was originally recorded for the 1986 “Deep Six” compilation by Malfunkshun, and also featured BRAD drummer/Loosegroove co-founder Regan Hagar.

In The Moment That You’re Born was recorded and mixed by Floyd Reitsma at Studio Litho in Seattle (except for the title track, which was mixed by Josh Evans).

The artwork was created by Hagar and includes photos taken by famed Seattle photographer Lance Mercer.

GWAR To Release ‘Battle Maximus’ 10th Anniversary Edition September 1st on Pit Records

GWAR To Release
‘Battle Maximus’ 10th Anniversary Edition
September 1st on Pit Records
Pre-Order HERE

Listen to Remixed/Remastered
Version of “Falling” NOW

On Tour This Summer With Mudvayne and More!

Ten years have passed since the release of GWAR’s masterwork known as ‘Battle Maximus.’ The record is a tribute to fallen Scumdog Warrior Flattus Maximus (AKA Corey Smoot) and was the last album recorded with vocalist Oderus Urungus (AKA Dave Brockie) before he departed the planet Earth in 2014.

In celebration of this momentous occasion (and to line their pockets with filthy lucre) GWAR are pleased to announce the release of this 10th Anniversary Edition of ‘Battle Maximus.’ In addition to being completely remixed and remastered, this edition features the final recorded vocal performance of Oderus Urungus on the previously unreleased and never-before heard song “Tammy, Queen of Dirt.”

Along with the announcement, the band has released the remastered/remixed version of “Falling.” Listen to it HERE

“10 years after its initial release, the wounds are just as fresh. The words that Oderus wrote as a tribute to his fallen Scumdog brother, Flattus Maximus, gain new meaning when heard as the final lyrics he would ever sing. The songs echo in stereo through the twin holes that were left in our hearts by the absence of Oderus and Flattus. This new remix of ‘Battle Maximus’ breathes new life into this album that demands to be considered as one of GWAR’s greatest,” says guitarist BälSäc, the Jaws ‘o Death

The Berserker Blothar adds, “‘Battle Maximus’ is an important GWAR album. Recorded as a farewell to guitarist Flattus Maximus, this album was born out of straight pain. As the Scumdog warriors grieved the passing of their brother, they had no way of knowing they were also recording the last album with singer Oderus Urungus. ‘Battle Maximus’ then, is on the cusp of the greatest challenge of GWAR’s career. This version has been remixed and remastered and it sounds straight up viscous. I hope you relish it as much as I…”

Guitarist, Singer-Songwriter, and Producer Emily Wolfe Partners with Epiphone Luthiers To Create Her Second Signature Guitar

Emily Wolfe with her Epiphone “White Wolfe” Sheraton.

Epiphone 150 Years… What began as a small instrument shop on the Mediterranean grew into a global powerhouse, crafting some of the best instruments in the world, for every stage.

For 150 years, Epiphone has been at the forefront of musical instrument design. By leveraging its iconic past and leaning into the future, Epiphone has now set the stage for the next era of sound for present and future generations. Epiphone is proud to announce the release of the Epiphone Emily Wolfe “White Wolfe” Sheraton. Created by guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer Emily Wolfe and the luthiers at Epiphone in Nashville, TN, the “White Wolfe” Sheraton marks Wolfe’s second Epiphone signature guitar and is available worldwide at authorized Epiphone dealers and on www.epiphone.com.

“The White Wolfe is a showstopper of a guitar. It’s a true symbol of how bold and unafraid we can be as guitar players. I hope this beautiful instrument feels like a part of anyone who picks it up.” –Emily Wolfe

Played by artists such as the legendary blues artist John Lee Hooker, Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer of Oasis, The Edge of U2, Matthew Followill of Kings of Leon and Emily Wolfe, with its thinline, double-cutaway, semi-hollow body design–similar to the Gibson ES-335–the influential Epiphone Sheraton continues to shape sound throughout generations of players.

The Epiphone Emily Wolfe “White Wolfe” Sheraton is based on the triple-threat rock & roll singer, songwriter, and guitarist’s popular Sheraton Stealth. Once again, Emily has lent her creativity to develop her new artist model. The Emily Wolfe “White Wolfe” Sheraton is equipped with an Indian laurel fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl block inlay on the front, Emily’s wolf logo and a white gloss Emily Wolfe signature on the rear and is outfitted with Grover Rotomatic tuning machines and a Graph Tech nut. An Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece hold down the other end of the strings and contribute to the impressive sustain of the instrument. The electronics include full-sized Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbucker pickups paired with CTS potentiometers for smooth control over individual pickup volume and overall tone. It’s finished in Aged Bone White paired with lightly aged gold hardware. An EpiLite case is included.

Watch/share the new the interview with Emily re the “White Wolfe” which also features her new single “Walk In My Shoes” off her forthcoming album, HERE.

Epiphone Emily “White Wolfe” Sheraton.

With blistering guitar riffs, skillful songwriting, and soulful vocals, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Emily Wolfe has been making waves with her powerful vocals and dynamic guitar skills and shows no signs of slowing down in 2023. Wolfe’s music combines elements of classic rock, blues and alternative, creating a unique and energetic sound. She’s garnered attention for her passionate live performance and has been recognized as an emerging talent in the rock music scene. Her work and live shows have been praised as transcendent, sticky and sweet, bad-ass, and provocative.

Wolfe recently wrapped the self-produced follow-up to her 2021 album Outlier which the Austin American Statesman hailed as featuring “blazing guitar that runs balance against compellingly melodic vocals that range from scorching to soothing.” Wolfe has been out on the road headlining shows, and supporting The Gaslight Anthem, and she will continue touring with her trio throughout the rest of the year, in support of her forthcoming new album, due for release in late summer – early fall 2023.

Reviews from TOOL’s sold-out 2022 tours praised the four-piece, with Loudwire dubbing the performances as “a masterclass of immersion, sound and stage design, musicianship… and levels of ungodly tightness.” The Austin Chronicle described the incomparable live experience as an “unbridled exchange of catharsis between performers and fans.” More recently, Revolver, covering Welcome to Rockville 2023, said “TOOL delivered a stunning… set featuring classic fan favorites, newer Fear Inoculum standouts and choice deeper cuts … the striking visuals also included a psychedelic laser and projections show bar none.”

“The album stretches a whopping 16 tracks of punk rock fury…” – Knotfest

“The sunny brutalism of Rancid’s East Bay ska-thrash has lost nary a step and their ethical-emotional rigor is as sweet as it is pure.” – SPIN

Today, Berkeley, California, punk stalwarts Rancid share their highly anticipated 10th studio album, ‘Tomorrow Never Comes’ out now via Epitaph Records. The follow up to 2017’s ‘Trouble Maker’, the new album was produced by longtime collaborator, Bad Religion guitarist and Epitaph founder, Brett Gurewitz. Check it out below:

‘Tomorrow Never Comes’ – LISTEN

At a whopping 850 Million catalog streams to date, fans and critics alike seem to agree that Rancid’s brand of high impact, no frills punk still flows abundantly in their blood, while easily translating to a modern audience. Now embarking on their tenth full-length effort, this is evident throughout ‘Tomorrow Never Comes’. With its sixteen blistering tracks barely making the two-and-a-half-minute mark, the album boasts the same gritty, straight forward punk-with-a-purpose that the world just can’t get enough of.

Throughout the last three decades, Rancid has remained fiercely independent, never losing their loyalty to their community or each other. Their music confronts political and social issues, while balancing personal tales of love, loss, and heartbreak with attitude. FOO FIGHTERS: BUT HERE WE ARE, New Album Out Today

FOO FIGHTERS
BUT HERE WE ARE
New Album Out Today on Roswell Records/RCA Records

“The Glass” Visualizer Live Now

Livestream Their Headline Performance Today at Rock Am Ring Festival in Germany
1:30P PT / 4:30p ET

Foo Fighters’ eagerly awaited, hard-fought and already universally acclaimed new album, But Here We Are, is released today, June 2, 2023, on Roswell Records/RCA Records.

A testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family, But Here We Are has been preceded by an ecstatically received quartet of its songs. These four songs have demonstrated dimensions of sound and emotion that hint at the range and depth of this phenomenal landmark in the Foo Fighters canon. First single “Rescued” with its “fresh sense of pathos and urgency” (The New York Times), “a gruff, melodic rocker with bittersweet hooks” (Stereogum) in “Under You,” the “totally unexpected foray into shoegaze and dream-pop territory” that was “Show Me How,” and the “powerful goodbyes” (SPIN) of the 10-minute “The Teacher” all blazed radically diverse yet equally cathartic sonic paths. Now with today’s revelation of the sublimely melodic “The Glass” (check out the visualizer HERE), and five more FF instant classics, But Here We Are is finally out in the world.

Produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters, But Here We Are has received the warmest of welcomes—from the capacity crowds already signing along to every word of “Rescued” and “Under You” during the band’s triumphant return to the stage, to uniformly enthusiastic early critical reactions to the album and its songs including:

“A brilliant meditation on grief… the best Foo Fighters album since the turn of the millennium.” – Consequence

“But Here We Are is a standout… quite possibly their best and most meaningful album.” — Goldmine

“Driven by a fresh sense of pathos and urgency.” – The New York Times

“Delivers everything fans have come to know and love about the Foos.” – Revolver

“One of the most powerful collection of songs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame outfit‘s lengthy catalog… But Here We Are is a life raft extended between band and audience alike.. Music has the power to heal, and this is a record for healing.” – Rock Cellar

“One of the strongest albums of the band’s career… reckoning with the conundrums of human existence through the sheer power of music.” – SPIN

“It’s what happens when loud, catchy, radio-friendly rock music is buoyed by tangible passion… The singles have been strong — ‘Rescued” a proper anthem, ‘Under You’ a Jawbreaker-esque power-pop gem… Foo Fighters’ sadness comes through, but the album is too fleet-footed to be maudlin or morose.” – Stereogum

“A record that channels grief into some of the biggest sounding songs Foo Fighters have ever made.” – Ultimate Classic Rock

“Memorable and meaningful” — USA Today

“This leap from the personal to the universal is the essence of Foo Fighters… confirms that Mr. Grohl’s instincts about how music can help us process and transcend even our darkest moments are absolutely correct… a powerful, melodic work of mourning.” – The Wall Street Journal

Motörhead loved playing live and never ever judged their audiences. Everyone was encouraged, all were welcome. And that included people who like jazz! So when the Montreux Festival called requesting them, it made perfect sense in its own, unique way. ‘Tis worth noting, too, that the Festival has always been about stepping beyond the boundaries of that ‘J’ word, and embracing unique artists of all genres, styles and sensibilities, the only true consistent requirement being that they represent the best and most adventurous of their ilks. It is why, in the ‘artists played’ list, alongside a Dexter Gordon you’ll find a Deep Purple or a ZZ Top, and it’s why the Festival continues to attract a diverse roster of artists to its stage annually. The recordings of seminal performances such as these, were all given UNESCO heritage status in 2013, such is their value to the arts.

Recorded during the band’s ‘Kiss Of Death’ tour at the legendary Auditorium Stravinski on 7th July during the 2007 edition of the world renowned, Montreux Jazz Festival this show is such a tremendous statement of just how potent and perfect a trio Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee were, with not just one of the more diverse set-lists of their decades together, but individual performances which prove how top of the tree each was in their own class. The set also includes the first official release of their cover of Thin Lizzy’s ‘Rosalie’!

Motörhead, Live At Montreux Jazz Festival ’07 will be released on double LP, double CD and digital. See below for full details of the Live At Montreux Jazz Festival ‘07 releases and be sure to visit www.iMotorhead.com for news and updates!

BLACK VEIL BRIDES & VILLE VALO Co-Headline Fall Tour of U.S. & Canada

BLACK VEIL BRIDES & VILLE VALO

Co-Headline Fall Tour of U.S. & Canada
General Onsale Begins Friday, June 2 at
10am Local Time on LiveNation.com

This fall, the classic season for dark and romantic music, BLACK VEIL BRIDES and VV (VILLE VALO) will co-headline a massive tour in select cities across North America. Presented by Hot Topic, the BVB & VV 2023 Tour (featuring special guests DARK DIVINE) combines three unique bands who champion the heavy-hearted, hopeless, and broken with mixtures of high intensity and melody.

Produced by Live Nation, tickets to the tour will be available starting Tuesday, May 30 at 12 pm ET via presales with additional presales running throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, June 2 at 10 am local time on LiveNation.com. For more information on the presales visit BlackVeilBrides.net.

“We cannot wait to join forces with VILLE VALO and give both of our audiences in North America an unforgettable experience each night,” says BLACK VEIL BRIDES frontman Andy Biersack. “This run has been in the works for quite a while. We couldn’t be happier now that we can finally share the news. VILLE is an icon. We have all been fans of his, not only for his work in the hugely influential band HIM but as a torchbearer for an entire generation of rock fans and musicians.”

“There’s something tinnitus-inducingly romantic about the idea of being sandwiched nightly between BLACK VEIL BRIDES and DARK DIVINE on this autumnal trek across North America,” muses VALO. “And imagining us explore the architecture of doom and gloom from three distinctly different musical perspectives has already made the bats in my belfry suitably ravenous.”

Andy adds, “This tour is a dream come true and will be something special. DARK DIVINE is new to the scene but garnering a lot of attention quickly and rightfully so. They are hands down one of the best young bands out there, and we are certain the BVB Army and VV fans will love them.”

Committed to uncompromising expression, with a foundation in hard rock tradition and rule-breaking iconoclasm, BLACK VEIL BRIDES is a transcendent celebration of life-affirming power and anthemic catharsis. A gothic vision first summoned in a small town by an isolated kid fascinated with death, rock, theatricality, and monsters (both real and imagined), BLACK VEIL BRIDES is now a postmodern heavy metal institution with a legion of like-minded fans and supporters worldwide.

2021’s ‘The Phantom Tomorrow’ produced BVB’s first Top 10 single, “Scarlet Cross.” Last year’s ‘The Mourning’ EP offered similar success with “Saviour II,” joining a rich catalog that includes “Knives and Pens” (over 160 million views on YouTube), the certified gold “Fallen Angels,” and the recently certified platinum “In the End.” (It’s possible BLACK VEIL BRIDES may even release another brand-new song in the not-too-distant future…)

HIM, renowned as one of the most commercially successful Finnish bands of all time, has sold over ten million records. VILLE VALO, the band’s frontman, released a series of beloved albums with HIM from 1997 through 2013, boasting influential modern goth-rock anthems like “Right Here in My Arms,” “Join Me in Death,” “Buried Alive by Love,” and “Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly.” Declaring ‘Neon Noir’ a perfect record for fans of HIM, Ghost, and Evanescence, Kerrang! wrote, “If you’ve been seduced in Mr. VALO’s musical twilight before, then you can now prepare to pulse in the glow of the heartagram once again.” In a VV cover story, VALO told the magazine, “It is a continuation of what I’ve done in the past and what might happen next.”
