Intergalactic shock rock legends GWAR are returning to destroy stages across the United States with the announcement of The Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour, a massive spring run featuring Soulfly as direct support and King Parrot opening every night. The carnage kicks off March 19th in their adopted hometown of Richmond, VA, and rampages through April 29th, ending in Charlotte, NC. A complete list of dates is below. Armed with fresh atrocities, new victims, and the unstoppable might of Gor Gor himself, GWAR are promising their most crushing live spectacle yet.

Tickets for The Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour go on sale beginning Friday, December 19th at 10am local time. SCOTT STAPP is one of 2025’s Top Ten most-played artists on Billboard’s year-end Mainstream Rock Airplay Artists Chart, alongside Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Sleep Theory, Nothing More, Papa Roach, Shinedown, Pop Evil, Volbeat, and Ghost.

It is a career-first as a solo artist for Stapp, who has dominated charts since 1997 with Creed – one of the best-selling acts of the entire 2000’s decade.

Rock fans, brace yourselves: multi-platinum acts CREED and Limp Bizkit will headline the 3rd Annual Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL.

The pair, who famously clashed during the summer of 2000—are putting the past behind them for one of the most-anticipated live events of 2026.

The two-day festival features a stacked lineup of platinum-selling heavyweights and rock newcomers. On Saturday, July 18, Limp Bizkit will headline with support from Cypress Hill, Sevendust, Kittie, and Puddle of Mudd on the “Higher” main stage. The “Are You Ready” Side Stage will feature Magnolia Park, The Pretty Wild, Slay Squad and more. The 10-track album—produced by longtime collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette—runs 39 minutes and showcases Van Halen’s continued evolution as a songwriter and performer. As with his previous releases, Wolfgang wrote every song and performed all instrumentation and vocals, pushing himself further than he did on his debut and sophomore albums.

Hard, Mangy, Antisocial – You Get What You Deserve!

“What the hell are you bums wasting my money on?!” roared the legendary — and in 2025 deceased — SPV boss Manfred Schütz, yelling down the phone on an already rainy autumn day. On the other end of the line: Sodom.

In 1993, the legendary lineup of Tom Angelripper (bass, vocals), Andy Brings (guitar) and Atomic Steif (drums). Before the three musicians’ instantly horizontal hairdos had even fallen back onto their shoulders, the old-school record boss barked again: “We’re not putting this album out like that — end of discussion!”

Yet the blood-soaked scene from an unknown Düsseldorf hotel room, with its many hints toward the songs on Get What You Deserve, fit perfectly with the music of Sodom’s sixth studio album — a 16-track chunk of fury with which the band defiantly stood against the musical zeitgeist of the early ’90s. Andy Brings: “Back then every band suddenly wanted to be Pantera or Machine Head. Incredibly clean, sterile, and technically perfect. We didn’t. Couldn’t, weren’t, didn’t want to!” Band leader Tom Angelripper adds: “With Get What You Deserve we wanted to return to our roots — more Venom, more Motörhead. Andy’s punk roots also came through stronger, which was right up my alley. Short songs, maximum impact, straight in your face — the way it should be!”

A few months earlier, Sodom had released the Aber Bitte Mit Sahne EP — partly to introduce their new drummer Atomic Steif, and partly to have fresh songs ready for the upcoming Christmas Metal Meetings Tour at the end of 1993 with Motörhead, Kreator and Entombed. The EP also served as a test run for what would become a fruitful collaboration with then-unknown producer Wolfgang Stach, who would go on to major success with Guano Apes, Jupiter Jones, and BAP.

The new lineup unleashed unexpected power within Sodom. The songs came together quickly and were recorded in record time — raw and wild, yet incredibly tight. Brings: “There’s nothing nice about this album — not the sound, not the lyrics. It wasn’t supposed to be. It was meant to be completely unfriendly. The others were the polished ones.” Angelripper: “With Atomic Steif on drums, we became an unstoppable machine — in the studio and on stage. It breaks our hearts that he passed away far too soon on August 31, 2025, at only 57, and can’t witness how songs like Jabba The Hutt, Sodomized, and Silence Is Consent are being rediscovered and loved again. He was the German Dave Lombardo — an incredible drummer!”

Thirty-two years later, this snarling beast is being unleashed on the metal community once again. A timeless punch to the gut — or, as Maik Weichert, guitarist and mastermind of German metalcore heroes Heaven Shall Burn, puts it: “The best punk album of the nineties!”

Get What You Deserve will be released as an extensive box set, remastered and newly mixed by Andy Brings, including the remastered and remixed Aber Bitte Mit Sahne EP, plus the first concert with Atomic Steif as a bonus double LP and a DVD with additional live shows. Alongside the original hotel room cover, the package also includes the censored version with the band photo and the originally planned artwork featuring a Knarrenheinz painting by cult artist Andreas Marschall. Andy Brings: “I wanted to strip the album — which already had almost no additives and zero ballast — down to the absolute maximum. No samples, no tricks, just a very pissed-off band at the peak of its creative energy.” Tom Angelripper: “Over 30 years ago, we went against the current with this album — and we’re doing it again today. Nothing sounds like this record, and that makes me proud. Get What You Deserve was, is, and will always be the sound of pure defiance. My personal favorite Sodom album!

Get What You Deserve will be released on February 27, 2026 via BMG and is available for pre-order now. The first single, “Sodomized,” was the first song written by the new lineup in 1993.

The accompanying video, made from Brings’ private footage of the Christmas Metal Meetings Tour, features not only the band but also Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead and other legendary musicians.

Bernie Grundman’s new remaster of Alive! is included in all of the aforementioned 50TH Anniversary versions as well. The GRAMMY® Award-nominated mastering engineer took the reins and reinvigorated the record from the 1975 stereo analog master tapes. Like never before, Grundman channels the chemistry of the group—Paul Stanley [vocals, guitar], Gene Simmons [vocals, bass], Peter Criss [drums, vocals], and Ace Frehley [lead guitar]—front-and-center on his remaster. This is also the first time that Alive! has been released on one-CD.

The Super Deluxe box sets (4CD + Blu-ray and 8LP + Blu-ray) impressively include 120 tracks highlighted by 88 unreleased tracks. As part of the collection, fans can relive two entire concerts from the 1975 Dressed To Kill Tour: RKO Orpheum Theatre in Davenport, Iowa on July 20 (Second Show) and Wildwood Convention Hall in Wildwood, New Jersey on July 23. For the Super Deluxe box sets, Eddie Kramer has completed new mixes of these particular gigs, revisiting the original multi-track analog tapes and preserving the raw integrity of the performances with no overdubs. Among other highlights, you’ll find five rehearsal tracks from Davenport as well as six songs from Cleveland Music Hall in Cleveland, OH on June 21, 1975—also just mixed by Kramer this year. Then, there’s the Blu-ray Audio disc comprising Kramer’s newly mixed Alive! in Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround along with the newly remastered stereo in 192kHz 24-bit and 96kHz 24-bit PCM stereo, which is set to a new visualizer featuring unreleased photos and master tape box imagery.

Both the Vinyl and CD box sets hold a plethora of “Kollectibles,” including a 100-page hardcover book. Once again, Ken Sharp dove headfirst into this chapter of the band’s history by writing immersive liner notes for the book and conducting recent interviews with Stanley and Simmons in addition to various members of the KISS inner circle and professional team who lived it all with them. Unreleased photos and rare images adorn the book’s pages.

Other sought-after extras include a reprint of the Alive! 1975 Press Kit, photos, a tour program, a T-shirt iron-on, backstage passes, ticket stubs, posters, an album cover lenticular, four double-sided coasters, four guitar picks, a bumper sticker, an Alive! die-cut double-sided mobile, and more. Plus, each box set comes with the Gotham Rock City News Volume 4 Newspaper featuring a track-by-track interview with Kramer breaking down the majority of songs as he revisited the iconic live album and concerts he helped to record and engineer 50 years ago.

Alive! 50TH Anniversary Deluxe Vinyl showcases 2-LPs as picture disc vinyl packaged in a deluxe tip-on gatefold jacket wrapped in foil paper with gold metallic ink. Not to mention, it features an enhanced version of the original booklet on foil paper with a brand-new double-sided poster with one side being the iconic fan banner shown on the album’s back cover. Extremely limited, with no more than 1,000 units available, fans may purchase it (while supplies last) only from the official KISS Store.

The Alive! 50TH Anniversary Premium Vinyl is pressed on stunning gold and white cornetto with black splatter vinyl. It comes in an album jacket enhanced with first-ever gold foil and gold metallic ink details with labels printed in gold metallic ink. It features a new poster of the iconic fan banner seen on the album’s back cover as well as the original booklet. Only 3,000 units are available exclusively on the official KISS store.

KISS unleashed Alive! on September 10, 1975. The album drew on performances from five nights of the Dressed To Kill Tour: Cobo Arena in Detroit, MI, Cleveland Music Hall in Cleveland, OH, RKO Orpheum Theatre in Davenport, IA (two shows), and Wildwood Convention Hall in Wildwood, NJ. Upon release, it added rocket fuel to the band’s ascent to the top of rock ‘n’ roll and culture in the seventies. Alive! reached the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and sent “Rock And Roll All Nite” to #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 – the highest charting single for the band at the time – and was their first album to be certified Gold by the RIAA. Rolling Stone named it one of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time,” and Guitar World touted it on the “100 Greatest Guitar Albums of All Time” and at #3 on its “Top 10 Live Albums of All Time.” In 1975, live albums were perceived as a nail in the coffin of an artist’s career, but Alive! opened the floodgates for a string of pivotal live records to follow in its wake showing live rock albums could be a stepping stone to an artist’s success, with live albums ranging from Peter Frampton’s Frampton Comes Alive to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s One More From The Road to Led Zeppelin’s The Song Remains The Same.

In the end, this is the ultimate live rock record from the greatest showmen in rock ‘n’ roll history.

DATELINE: Monday, November 10, 2025 — Today, Slaytanic Verses, the official Slayer online museum, unveils its latest collection: “Hell On Tour.” The new archive celebrates the 40th anniversary of “Hell Awaits” and revisits the 1985 world tour that carried the album across seven countries and sixty shows.

Built around the band’s original handwritten tour notebook, the “Hell On Tour” archive offers fans a rare, day-by-day account of Slayer’s early rise. The blue-cover notebook, kept by the band’s tour manager, details the four relentless weeks from March 15 to April 19, 1985, when “Hell Awaits” began its march on the world.

The collection also features exclusive, never-before-seen interviews with Tom Araya and Kerry King, reflecting on the chaos, intensity and significance of the “Hell Awaits” era in their own words.

Documenting travel routes, show details, and daily logistics, this archive captures the groundwork
of Slayer’s ascent, the moment the band began forging a global following through sheer force of sound and will.

ABOUT SLAYER (2025)
For more than four decades, Slayer’s onslaught has proved the band to be the supreme thrash-metal band on the planet, the band that other heavy acts are still measured against and aspire to. Their membership in “The Big Four” – Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax – the four bands that defined the thrash/metal genre – secures their place in music history.

The five-time nominated, two-time Grammy winners have also accumulated an abundance of certified Gold Albums along with “Best…” awards from media outlets all over the world, including Kerrang!, SPIN, Metal Hammer, Revolver, and Esquire. Throughout Slayer’s history, the band never faltered in unleashing its extreme and focused sonic assault, and, unlike many of its contemporaries who commercialized their sound, Slayer remained crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the mainstream. Slayer’s founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed in 2013, and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has been filling that spot since. Paul Bostaph, who was Slayer’s drummer from ’94 – ’01, rejoined bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King in 2013, and remains back behind the kit.

In January 2018, Slayer announced they were calling it a day and would be doing one final world tour to thank its fans for their support over the years. Launched on May 10, 2018, by the time the 18-month tour wrapped on November 30, 2019, Slayer had played 148 shows, performing in 34 countries and 146 cities around the world, and in 40 U.S. states. In September, 2024, Slayer surprised fans with the news that they would headline three, major summer U.S. festivals – Riot Fest, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. While Slayer has no plans to do any extensive touring, the band likely will continue to play some one-off shows, such as the up-coming Black Sabbath concert in the UK, a handful of headline UK dates, and select major festivals.
