A video (https://youtu.be/ORcrjdXD0Xk) for “A Singularity (Re-Imagined by Carina Round),” shot and edited by Maynard James Keenan, was released this morning. The clip echoes the song’s sentiment, with the heart-wrenching track offered as a memoriam to Keenan’s beloved, and well known dog, MiHo. He says: “On Oct. 7, 2021, I lost my Muse. Deadly Little MiHo lost her 2 year battle with pancreatitis and kidney disease. We thought we lost her in late 2019, so I panicked and wrote her this song. We were certain she was done for. But we were blessed with a second chance and a bit more time. I rarely share things like this. Too painful. But this one can’t be kept bottled up. As I have mentioned before, she has been hiding in most of my vocal tracks since 2005. She was either in or near the vocal booth every time I tracked. Her sigh, her bark, sniffle, sneeze. Her jingling collar. Her squeaky toys. Usually poorly timed. Performance Credits- @PUSCIFER – V is for V*****, Don’t Shoot the Messenger EP, V is for V***** remixes, C is for…EP, Conditions of My Parole, All Re-Mixed Up, Donkey Punch the Night EP, Money $hot, Money $hot Your Re-Load, Existential Reckoning, Existential Reckoning Re-Wired. @APERFECTCIRCLE – “By & Down” single, Eat the Elephant. @TOOLMUSIC – 10,000 Days, Fear Inoculum.”

Round explains her approach to re-working the song: “Maynard’s vocal for this song is synonymously a sorrowful hymn and a siren of celebration. I wanted the main vocal and the bass and drums to be anchors in a sea of jubilant chaos. A kind of controlled cacophony of celebratory joy. Familiar, but a bit unnerving. The horns and saxes at the end are all moving together but somehow so loose, dispersing off into foam and then coming back together into one harmonious wave and then breaking off again, cascading. I feel excited when it’s over and like I want to get back on the ride. Birds, a charm of finches bookend the song. You can feel their energy. And within, there’s Maynard’s lone whistle, mimicking them. The one who keeps them alive and in turn draws his own life force. The synergy of composure and chaos in a dance reverence.”

The band has simultaneously announced their first European tour in seven years, with performances slated for Hellfest, Nos Alive and Mad Cool festivals, as well as a round of headlining performances. A brief U.S. trek precedes the European outing. Tickets for all headlining shows (Europe and U.S.) are on on-sale Friday, Jan. 20 at 10 am local time. Night Club opens on all headlining dates. Ticketing links can be found via Puscifer.com.

Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired offers a track-for-track re-imagining of the 12 songs from Existential Reckoning. Puscifer band members Mitchell and Round, along with current touring musicians Greg Edwards (Failure, Autolux) and Gunnar Olsen reinterpret tracks from the prophetic, electro-laced record. The Academy Award-winning team of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross tackle “Apocalyptical” (Reznor has a co-writing credit with Maynard James Keenan and Mitchell on Puscifer’s 2009 song, “Potions”), Phantogram revamp “Postulous,” Drummer Sarah Jones and Bring Me The Horizon’s Jordan Fish tackle “”Theorem,” Queens of The Stone Age (and sometimes A Perfect Circle/Failure) guitar player Troy Van Leeuwen partners with his Gone is Gone bandmate, Tony Hajjar for “Grey Area,” while Tool’s Justin Chancellor and The Crystal Method’s Scott Kirkland join forces for “UPGrade.” Additional contributors include Juliette Commagere, who first appeared on Puscifer’s 2011 album Conditions of My Parole, keyboard player Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails), and BBC 1’s Daniel P. Carter.

Public Image Ltd. New Single “Hawaii” Available Now; PiL to Compete to Represent Ireland at Eurovision 2023

PUBLIC IMAGE LTD.
WILL COMPETE TO REPRESENT IRELAND AT EUROVISION 2023
THEY WILL PERFORM PREVIOUSLY UNHEARD SONG “HAWAII”

ON “THE LATE LATE SHOW” AT 9.30p GMT/4:30p ET/1:30p PT

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2023, LIVE STREAMED HERE

Public Image Ltd. (PiL) are confirmed to take part in the competition to represent Ireland at the 67th annual Eurovision Song Contest with the most personal piece of songwriting and accompanying artwork that John Lydon has ever shared called “Hawaii,” which is now available for streaming and download here.

The song is a love letter to John’s wife of nearly 5 decades, Nora, who is living with Alzheimer’s. A pensive, personal yet universal love song that will resonate with many, the song sees John reflecting on their lifetime well spent, and in particular, one of their happiest moments together in Hawaii.

The powerfully emotional ballad is as close as John will ever come to bearing his soul. “It is dedicated to everyone going through tough times on the journey of life, with the person they care for the most,” says John. “It’s also a message of hope that ultimately love conquers all.”

The competition will take place from 9:30pm GMT (4:30p ET/1:30p PT) on Friday, February 3, 2023 on Ireland’s The Late Late Show and can be live streamed here.

Celebrating their 40-year anniversary in 2018, Public Image Ltd. haven’t been going quite as long as John and Nora, however, the band is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential bands of all time.

PiL’s music and vision has earned them 5 UK Top 20 singles and 5 UK Top 20 albums. With a shifting line-up and unique sound – fusing rock, dance, folk, pop and dub – Lydon guided the band from their debut album First Issue in 1978 through to 1992’s That What Is Not, before a 17-year hiatus. Lydon reactivated PiL in 2009, touring extensively worldwide and releasing two critically acclaimed albums This is PiL in 2012 followed by their 10th studio album What The World Needs Now… in 2015, which peaked at number 29 in the official UK album charts and picked up fantastic acclaim from both press and public. (The album also peaked at number 3 in the official UK indie charts and number 4 in the official UK vinyl charts). What The World Needs Now… was self-funded by PiL and released on their own label ‘PiL Official’ via Cargo UK Distribution.

John Lydon, Lu Edmonds (multi-instrumentalist, Guitars) Bruce Smith (Percussion, drums), and Scott Firth (Bass, multi-instrumentalist), continue as PiL. They are the longest stable line-up in the band’s history and continue to challenge and thrive.

“Hawaii” is available on all digital platforms from January 9th, and will be released on limited edition 7” vinyl later in the year.

PiL will be releasing a new album this year. Details to be announced soon…

Today marks the release of Iggy Pop’s feverishly anticipated new album EVERY LOSER on Atlantic Records/Gold Tooth Records. Hailed by the likes of NEW YORK, ESQUIRE and the ASSOCIATED PRESS as one of the new year’s most eagerly awaited releases, EVERY LOSER has been preceded by “buzz-bombing, hard-riffing rock” (NEW YORK TIMES) “Frenzy,” and more recently “Strung Out Johnny.”

Iggy Pop has also been confirmed as musical guest on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! Monday, January 9th. Iggy’s return to late night TV will feature the televised debut of his new band the Losers, featuring Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, and Josh Klinghoffer.

Iggy recently confirmed four live dates spanning the west coast. Kicking off in Los Angeles on April 20, the Godfather of Punk’s raw power will be in full force as he performs tracks off his 19th solo album.

These limited dates include stops at Los Angeles’ Regent Theater and Hollywood Palladium, San Francisco’s Masonic Theater, and Las Vegas’ The Pearl, and will mark the touring debut of Iggy Pop & The Losers.

Tickets are on sale now at iggypop.com. See below for all announced dates.

EVERY LOSER is Iggy’s first album to be released via the recently announced partnership between Atlantic Records and Gold Tooth Records, the new label founded by the album’s GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum executive producer, Andrew Watt.

Featuring a murderers’ row of modern day rock icons including the Iggy Pop & The Losers lineup of Watt, McKagan and Smith, EVERY LOSER sets Iggy’s lyrical aggressions toward physical and existential nemeses atop a rock solid foundation provided by members of Blink 182 (Travis Barker), Foo Fighters (Taylor Hawkins), Guns N’ Roses (Duff McKagan), Jane’s Addiction (Chris Chaney, Dave Navarro, Eric Avery), Pearl Jam (Josh Klinghoffer, Stone Gossard) and Red Hot Chili Peppers (Klinghoffer, Chad Smith). The result is 11 songs by the man who refused to go gently into that good night on Free, and is once again charging fearlessly at life itself on EVERY LOSER.

‘Lies They Tell Our Children’ Out Today, January 6, via Spinefarm
Tour With Flogging Molly & Skinny Lister
Kicks Off in February!

To celebrate the release, the band will be featured on the upcoming cover of New Noise. The issue includes a flexi-disc featuring the band’s take on the Dead Milkmen classic “Punk Rock Girl.” Get it HERE

Additionally, the band has shared the video for “SOLD EVERYTHING.” Watch it HERE

The video was directed by INDECLINE, who impressively shot SEVEN videos for the album tracks.

2023 is an incredibly important year for Anti-Flag, as it marks three decades of profound punk rock.

“2023 — 30 years of Anti-Flag. If we’re being completely honest, this mile marker of longevity is both unbelievable to us and at the same time not a shock at all.

“The four of us have committed our lives to these songs, shows, and records. We have placed precedence on this work and believe it to be intrinsically tied to our value as people on this planet. If you would have asked the kids who started this band if we would still be Anti-Flag 30 years later, we would have probably thought we wouldn’t make it this long. But we would have collectively resounded that as long as we’re alive, we would be making music with the goal of unifying people and communities, positioning empathy over apathy, and using everything at our disposal to be agitators and disruptors of status quo, exploitative, capitalist politics.”

“‘LIES THEY TELL OUR CHILDREN’ represents a band that is still working on its craft, and we challenged ourselves to be better songwriters, leaving familiarity and comfort zones. Perhaps it’s too ambitious to make your 13th full-length album a concept record, but if we have learned anything through our privileged lenses of longevity, it’s to be true to ourselves. This was our plan. A record that is fulfilling emotionally and spiritually, we basically said ‘Fuck it, this is the record we wanted to make, the people we wanted to collaborate with, the type of song we want to play live and share across the globe.'”

“It’s a shot of optimism and inspiration to carry on, stay the course, created because it’s what we have to do. We hope that people like it, listen to it, stream it, or whatever… but truthfully, we would be doing all of this with or without an audience, it’s all we have known as Anti-Flag for 30 years and we don’t see that changing any time soon.”

‘Lies They Tell Our Children’ was recorded, produced, and mixed by Jon Lundin.

‘LIES THEY TELL OUR CHILDREN’ TRACK LIST:

KURT DEIMER ANNOUNCES SHOWS WITH TESLA IN THE US + NEW HORROR FILM

KURT DEIMER ANNOUNCES SHOWS WITH TESLA IN THE US + NEW HORROR FILM

Singer Kurt Deimer stayed quite busy throughout 2022 – with the arrival of his debut EP, ‘Word Hard Rock Hard,’ which he recorded with his bandmate and creative partner (and Bon Jovi guitarist) Phil X.

And 2023 will see Deimer build his fanbase with further touring in the US.

“We got a couple more Tesla dates in January. I’m also going to shoot my second feature film that I star in, called ‘Scared to Death,’ along with Lin Shaye, she’s known for the ‘Insidious’ franchise and her role in Kingpin with Woody Harrelson, and Bill Moseley, who was in Rob Zombie’s ‘The Devil’s Rejects,’ amongst other projects.
And we already have further tour dates with Tesla in the Midwest with many, many more to come – starting in April, after my movie shoot.”

“2022 was the year we saw the band evolve. We continued to enhance our live show and become a really tight rock’n’roll band. Given that we are direct support, when we hit the stage, we entertain folks at the highest level – with the opportunity we’re given and the amount of space we’re given on stage. And 2022 has been a great bridge and a great training ground – ‘battle ground’ if you will – setting us up for all the big things that are about to happen in 2023. So, 2022 was the year of hard work. A year of figuring stuff out, a year making the necessary changes to continue to grow as a band and continue to grow our audience across the world.”

Deimer has also issued several music videos thus far, which can be viewed via these links:

“My Dad” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oqJpgkxjU0
“Hero” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPzlBPogD1M&t=42s
“Naïve” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp-7ZopNcwQ
“Burn Together” (featuring Geoff Tate) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYWxNdXZqz4

With 2022 now in the rearview mirror, Deimer looks back upon the past twelve months with fondness. “Favorite moments from the band this year for sure was our five days that we did with Tesla in the beginning of September. Those were epic shows. We had come off the Yngwie Malmsteen tour, which was another great moment. With Tesla, we did House of Blues and auditoriums – we really got to play in front of a thousand plus every night, and converted even more fans. Another great memorable moment with those Tesla shows was when we came out on stage at the last show at the House of Blues in New Orleans, to play with them on ‘Signs.’ To be on stage with other musicians that I admire so much was a big highlight. And another highlight of 2022 was when we played to 3,000+ fans with Mushroomhead, at their big Halloween bash in Cleveland at the Agora.”

Undoubtedly, 2023 is going to be a big year for Kurt Deimer.

RUSSKAJA calls for peace with their most heavy-hitting album yet!

New Album, ‘Turbo Polka Party’,

The holidays are over, so get up, couch potato! High voltage party polka virtuosos RUSSKAJA provide the perfect soundtrack to get you moving with their new album, ‘Turbo Polka Party’, out February 3, 2023 via Napalm Records. Once again mixing elements of punk, ska, polka and metal, the upcoming record is their most danceable and hard-hitting studio album to date.

Only RUSSKAJA can properly blend nu metal with the aforementioned contrasting genres and come out the other side with a perfectly addictive new track like “Shapka” (the name for a Russian fur cap)! The multinational musicians conjure the likes of nu metal legends Limp Bizkit in their MTV heydays, blending addictive beats, chunky riffs and raucous rap interludes with upbeat potete and tuba blasts – uniting the best of both worlds. Along with a new lyric video, the relentlessly catchy single lines right up with RUSSKAJA fan favorites.

Is it the mighty Fred Durst you can hear in RUSSKAJA’s new single “Shapka”? Or is it guitarist/songwriter Engel Mayr giving the song an unmistakable nu metal twist with his voice? Check it out and let us know if you can find Fred Durst in the brand-new track!

Drummer Mario Stübler on the new single:

“I can’t wait to play “Shapka” live! It’s got a groove that makes you move so put on your dance shoes and shake your booty with us!”

Watch the Lyric Video for “Shapka” HERE

Hailing from Austria but wearing their Ukrainian and Russian heritages on their sleeves, RUSSKAJA present their hardest-hitting studio album to date. Although they are one of the most entertaining bands in rock, RUSSKAJA have never strayed away from clear political statements. The band, known for utilizing Soviet imagery as a nod to their cultural background, sends a clear sign against war – calling for peace and humanity on ‘Turbo Polka Party’. This message is particularly emphasized on “No Borders” – reflective of the cries for peace RUSSKAJA stated in the wake of the Ukrainian/Russian tensions flaring in the beginning of 2022.

The band has also produced a special “No Borders” shirt, and will donate 100% of proceeds earned from its sale to the charity organization “Volkshilfe”, benefitting Ukrainian refugees. The shirt is available together with the Special Edition autograph card “No Borders”, which is signed by the entire band, and can be purchased via RUSSKAJA’s website.

RUSSKAJA undoubtedly master the tightrope act between clear message and entertainment. With “Russki Style”, they show themselves on well-tread paths. But a party can’t happen without friends! Micha Rhein from In Extremo finds a place on the wistful “Olga von der Wolga”, while Skindred singer Benji Webbe supports the rousing reggae metal track “Vozdukh” and Hamburg dance act Le Fly convinces with exotic groove on the German-Spanish song “Senales”. Even the Wham hit “Last Christmas” is not safe from RUSSKAJA.

Pre-Order your copy of ‘Turbo Polka Party’ HERE

ORGY Drops New Single “Empty” on Friday, January 13th

Announces Upcoming Festival Date
at Sick New World in Las Vegas

NEWMUSIC EP Scheduled for Summer Release

Orgy at the sold out Endless Night Vampire Ball NOLA – HOB show October 29, 2022 Photo credit: Whiskey Shotz Photography

“I’m excited to finally start getting these tracks out for Orgy again. As we move toward a new direction musically speaking, I wanted to put a track out that has a bit of that signature Orgy sound, and hint at what’s coming next. Hope everyone will see the big picture and enjoy this track called “Empty” about being drained from always trying to make everyone happy.” – Jay Gordon

WATCH TEASER CLIP HERE:

ORGY’s Jay Gordon shares, “I’m really stoked to deliver this track “Empty” which sums up the rigors of both intimate and platonic friendships alike, and how draining they can be to maintain.” The band is excited about a few up & coming dates; The Whisky a Go Go on March 24, 2023 and most notably Live Nation’s “Sick New World” music festival on May 13, 2023. We will be adding a few select dates along the way, in support of the new music we have coming out soon!

ORGY spawned from the late 1990’s Goth music scene with their incredible remake of New Order’s “Blue Monday.” Upon release the track sold over one million copies and has sold more than 2 million copies to date. In late 2005, after the release of Punk Statik Paranoia via D1 Music and Associates, their independent DVD TRANS GLOBAL SPECTACLE via D1 Music / DLC Records, and a promotional tour, the band went on a hiatus to work on their side projects. In 2011, after seven years of demand from fans for new music and a tour, founding member Jay Gordon (vocals) decided it was time to kick things back up and begin recording and touring again in support of ORGY’s fans. Jay, Carlton Bost and Nic Speck have been the ORGY core since 2011.

After several years of releasing singles to the masses, ORGY has proven their long-lasting potency with a refreshed line-up and sound. The modern incarnation of ORGY has been transformed and sees the band poised to re-establish themselves in the EDM, industrial and hard rock scenes. Make no mistake about it, the ORGY brand is not going away anytime soon. As long as the fans demand new music and tours, the band is ready, willing and able to fill their request.

In 2023, ORGY released a video for “EMPTY,” a track mixed by Eric Racy and mastered by Trevor Case of Case mastering. This newer sound for ORGY has great lyrics, melodies, and guitars.

ORGY played Vampire Freaks Dark Side of the Con in April 2022 and did a short 7 show run in support of the ‘Karma Kastles’ and ‘Shady AF’ singles. They most recently played The Endless Night Vampire Ball in New Orleans, October 29, 2022 to a sold out crowd.

If you’re looking to get started on bass guitar with a pro-level package that puts everything you need right at your fingertips – and at an affordable price, to boot – look no further than the Donner DPB-510 electric bass bundle, which comes practice- and- gig-ready with a high-quality gig bag, guitar cable and strap.

As for the DPB-510 itself, this is a high-quality, lightweight and beautifully appointed instrument, boasting a poplar body, comfortable AAA Canadian maple neck with a “Modern C”-shaped profile and topped with a AAA purpleheart fingerboard with 21 copper-nickel alloy frets.

You also get open-gear tuning machines for sturdy tuning stability and a through-body fixed bridge-“4-SADDLE BRIDGE,” with each string able to be independently adjusted in height and intonation, and features slotted saddles for enhanced tuning stability and punchy attack.

Electronics-wise, the DPB-510 offers plenty of punch, clarity and versatility, courtesy of a pickup specially adapted for bass that ensures a clean and warm low frequency and a wider range of sound dynamics. The single volume and tone knobs are easily adjustable, allowing you to quickly dial in your exact desired sound.

“I’m not a bass player, but it seems easy to play,” said Claudio Ragazzi, Grammy Award recording artist and educator. “It plays in tune, has a good sound and looks good.”

Added Oscar Stagnaro, Grammy & Latin Grammy award winning artist and educator, “The 4 string PB is super easy to play. Very comfortable neck. I did adjust the front pickup closer to the E string to obtain more bass. It will be great to have a Jazz Bass version and also 5 strings option. Sound is good, simple to add more treble or bass with the tune knob. It is a great bass for a beginner student. It is also super light. With the EQ from the amp there are lots of possibilities for sounds. Also the string spacing is super easy to adapt. ”

Founded in 1982, AGNOSTIC FRONT stands among the most esteemed pioneers of the hardcore genre. No band comes close in sonic and socio authenticity and sincerity where the struggles of survival on the streets have quite literally given life to a sound that remains as impactful today as it was over four decades ago. AGNOSTIC FRONT’s battering, socially critical sounds serve as the foundation of true New York Hardcore and helped initiate the emergence of crossover thrash. The group disbanded briefly in the early ‘90s but returned in 1998 with the crushing sounds of Something’s Gotta Give. Following a slew of pummeling offerings, the band, led by the inimitable roar of Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma’s legendary charismatic guitar playing, released their critically lauded twelfth album Get Loud! in 2019, which, with its unapologetically honest lyrics and signature aggression, makes clear the band’s penchant to persevere.

Order AGNOSTIC FRONT’s Get Loud! and more from the Atomic Fire Records webshop HERE.

In addition to announcing their upcoming headline tour, QUEENSRŸCHE have released a new music video for the track “Sicdeth” off Digital Noise Alliance. Speaking about the song and video, Todd La Torre shares:

“‘Sicdeth’ is an abstract tale about convicted killers and the fallout of those attached on both sides. How can the victims’ and the assailants’ families overcome such pain? The inmate now has only their mind with which to escape. The song lyrics discretely touch on the very polarizing convicted murderer Jody Arias. The video however was more tailored to the Aileen Wuornos case.”

With a career that not only spans, but has charted the course of multiple genres, QUEENSRŸCHE remains a force in their own right. ‘Digital Noise Alliance’, QUEENSRŸCHE’s 16th studio album continues their ever-evolving legacy.

Once again teaming up with producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed), ‘Digital Noise Alliance’ not only refracts QUEENSRŸCHE’s past accomplishments but also pushes into the band’s future. It is the band effortlessly moving from strength to strength: immediate and thought-provoking.

Sixth Studio Album On The Prowl Scheduled For Release On February 24, 2023 https://lnk.to/Panther_OTP

With the recent announcement of their sixth studio album On The Prowl and the launch of their “Who’s Your Daddy(‘s Jokes)” series on YouTube, California rock legends Steel Panther have released another song from the upcoming album available worldwide on February 24, 2023. “1987” is a reflective look at one of the greatest years in rock music supported by unforgettable hooks, relatable lyrics and fretboard fireworks. Satchel, Michael Starr, Stix Zadinia and Spyder pay homage to the icons of the year including Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne and Van Halen to name a few. The music video was directed by longtime collaborator J.T. Arbogast and follows a young duo who find an abandoned recording studio. When one of the kids plugs in a hidden 1987 pedal (available for purchase here), he is transported to the time in the studio when Steel Panther recorded the song and lives the memories of 1987 in his own way. The music video can be seen here: https://youtu.be/HewOSY1XLLQ.

To celebrate the release of “1987,” Steel Panther is also announcing a massive world tour in support of their latest release. The On The Prowl World Tour 2023 is set to kick off in February and will run throughout North America through April. Crobot and Tragedy will be joining the band on the North American tour. From the opening synth intro of “Never Too Late (To Get Some Pu**y Tonight)” to the thunderous outro of “Sleeping On The Rollaway,” Steel Panther is back with the infectious riffs, pounding drums, unforgettable vocals alongside the witty humor that has earned them a global audience. Songs like “On Your Instagram,” “Magical Vagina” and “One Pump Chump” are sure to fit in on the biggest live stages next to the band’s most-memorable songs. “1987” is an incredible retro look at that unforgettable year and the band even slows things down on the reflective “Ain’t Dead Yet.” A music video for “Never Too Late (To Get Some Pu**y Tonight) was previously released and can be seen here.

The track listing for On The Prowl is:

5) 1987

As Steel Panther has ventured into the musical instrument space with the successful release of three guitar pedals: the legendary Pu**y Melter, Poontang Boomerang and Butthole Burner; the band is back with another must-have piece of gear – the 1987 pedal. The pedal is a combination distortion and delay pedal that can give any guitarist the signature sound of that classic year. The pedal will retail for $198.70 (see what we did there?) and as only Steel Panther can describe: “With the grit of 100 chainsaws and the ability to repeat itself more than that super stoned dude from Chemistry Class, it is truly the ultimate badass accessory…next to eyeliner.” The 1987 pedal is available for order here: https://steelpantherrocks.com/collections/on-the-prowl.

[Photo Credit: Tim Hubbard]“Propelled by the inhuman vocals of John Tardy, the obscenely brutal guitar tone of Trevor Peres and rhythmic brilliance of drummer Donald Tardy, Obituary redefined heaviness throughout the 1990s. From undisputed classics ‘Slowly We Rot’ and ‘Cause of Death’, through an unexpected hiatus to their current creative renaissance, Obituary have pioneered, defined and expanded extreme metal, becoming one of the underground’s most recognized and respected acts.” – Decibel Magazine

Legendary Florida Death Metal icons OBITUARY return with their highly anticipated new album, ‘Dying of Everything’, out January 13 on LP/CD/CS/Digital via Relapse Records!

Today, OBITUARY share the official audio for the album title-track “Dying of Everything”!

Listen in full on YouTube HERE and on all streaming services HERE.

OBITUARY comment:

“We picked the title track for the second single to give fans a taste of something a bit different than that typical Obituary style and we are excited to showcase Ken’s writing ability when he and Donald put their heads together and feel it just adds some extra flavor & spice to ‘Dying of Everything’ and can’t wait for the fans to hear it!!”

OBITUARY kick off 2023 with their Winter Europe tour in January/February with Trivium & Heaven Shall Burn. A full list of tour dates is available below.

‘Dying Of Everything’ destroys in the time-honored tradition of early OBITUARY classics “Slowly We Rot” and “Cause of Death” while maintaining the killer studio sound that the band has been perfecting in their own studio since 2007’s monstrous ‘Xecutioner’s Return’.

Watch “The Wrong Time” music video (directed by Odd Life Studios) on YouTube HERE.

‘DYING OF EVERYTHING’ Track List:

1. Barely Alive
2.The Wrong Time
3.Without a Conscience
4.War
5.Dying of Everything
6.My Will To Live
7.By the Dawn
8.Weaponize the Hate
9.Torn Apart
10.Be Warned

Like just about every album in OBITUARY’s vast catalog, ‘Dying Of Everything’ is instantly memorable; it’s a skill that OBITUARY have only improved upon over the years.

It’s unusual for a band that’s been around since the ’80s to be doing some of their best work in the 2020s, but that’s exactly what OBITUARY have accomplished through their do-it-yourself attitude and relentless touring on a worldwide level. “I think it comes down to passion,” vocalist John Tardy offers. “I say this all the time, but if something’s not fun, I’m not gonna do it. And we’re having more fun than ever.”

DONNER SUPPORTS MUSIC EDUCATION WITH SPECIAL CONCERT & SYMPOSIUM AT BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC

Held right off campus, the concert and symposium on Musicianship & Technology featured several Berklee professors sharing their thoughts on the balance between musicianship and music technology

Berklee faculty members sharing their thoughts on the balance between musicianship and music technology

Donner, leading manufacturer of innovative and feature-rich musical instruments, hosted an afternoon-long event in Boston on Nov. 17 that featured a concert and symposium on Musicianship & Technology with professors from Berklee College of Music.

The free, pop-up event started with a concert/jam session before heading into a symposium on Musicianship & Technology, featuring several faculty teachers of Berklee College of Music, including drummer Mark Walker, bassist Oscar Stagnaro, pianist Nando Michelin, multi-instrumentalist Yuki Kanesaka, producer John Escobar and guitarist Claudio Ragazzi.

Followed by the symposium, Nevin Domer, Donner Branding Representative and founder of Genjing Records’ also gave a presentation about why Donner had chosen to partner with these distinguished educators from previous online courses to this symposium in Berklee College of Music.

“It was inspiring to see the Berklee students playing our instruments on stage, trading licks with their professors, and hearing their questions during the Q&A. It’s a long road to mastering an instrument, and musical study is a lifelong journey ,” Domer said “Several students approached me after the event to say thanks for the prizes they had won and the event itself. I’m proud Donner can support the education industry and believe our partnership with these top educators from Berklee will contribute to the next generation of musical talent and inspire us to discover innovative methods for teaching music, lower the barriers to entry, and provide students with new ways to approach the learning process. ”

Faculties discussed a range of topics, including how they found their love of music, how they incorporate technology into their music creation and the role artificial intelligence could potentially play in music of the future.

“I oftentimes tell my students that we’re using technology for arts creation, and not for technologies sake,” said Mark Walker, Grammy Award–winning drummer, percussionist during the symposium. “[Technology is] always in service of how can I actually make music with this versus learning the button or the fader.”

The event concluded with a free raffle where attendees could win one of Donner’s latest products, including the DTC-100 electric guitar, DPB-510S bass, DJP-1000 Semi Hollow Jazz Guitar, Starry Series Midi Keyboard and Pad Controller, as well as the brand-new Arena2000 pedal, an affordably priced, high-quality multi-fx processor.

Through its products, which feature several innovative technological advancements, Donner helps musicians develop their own unique musicianship and aids them in the creative process. Partnering with Berklee professors for this event is just one way that Donner is working to support music education. The company plans to host similar events and make music more accessible to music lovers by continuous exploration in technology in the future. METALLICA “72 SEASONS” NEW ALBUM OUT APRIL 14, 2023

NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “LUX ÆTERNA” OUT NOW
M72 WORLD TOUR 2023-2024
PRE-SALES BEGIN 9am LOCAL TIME NOVEMBER 30th

Metallica has confirmed the title and release date of its forthcoming 12th studio album: 72 Seasons will be available April 14, 2023 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with Hetfield & Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track 72 Seasons is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. The album will be released in formats including 2LP 140g black vinyl and limited edition variants, CD and digital—for a full listing of configurations, pre-orders and further information, go to metallica.com/72-seasons-info.

72 Seasons is heralded by first single “Lux Æterna,” a short, sharp blast that distills 40 years of Metallica into three and a half minutes. “Lux Æterna” is available now to stream and download, and as an instant grat track with all pre-orders of 72 Seasons. To watch the “Lux Æterna” video, directed by Tim Saccenti, go here.

Speaking on the concept of the album title, James Hetfield said: “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry.”

The complete track listing for 72 Seasons is:

72 Seasons
Shadows Follow
Screaming Suicide
Sleepwalk My Life Away
You Must Burn!
Lux Æterna
Crown of Barbed Wire
Chasing Light
If Darkness Had a Son
Too Far Gone?
Room of Mirrors
Inamorata

Today also marks the announcement of every Metallica show booked through 2023 and 2024: Presented worldwide by Liquid Death and Blackened American Whiskey (in North America only) and promoted by Live Nation, Metallica’s M72 world tour will see the band playing two nights in every city it visits—with each No Repeat Weekend featuring two completely different setlists and support lineups. The M72 tour will feature a bold new in-the-round stage design that relocates the famed Metallica Snake Pit to center stage, as well as the I Disappear full-tour pass and the debut of discounted tickets for fans under 16 years of age. Two-day tickets will be on sale Friday, December 2nd at ticketmaster.com and will include the option of pre-ordering 72 Seasons vinyl and/or CD. Single day tickets will be available beginning January 20th. For further information including fan club presales, enhanced experiences and more, go to metallica.com/m72-info.

A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to the band’s All Within My Hands foundation. Founded in 2017, AWMH’s efforts to assist and enrich the lives of members of the communities who have supported the band have raised nearly $13 million – providing $5.9 million in grants to career and technical education programs in the US, over $2.5 million to combat food insecurity, and more than $3.2 million to disaster relief efforts worldwide.

Citi is the official card of the M72 Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets in the U.S. beginning Wednesday, November 30th at 2:00 pm local time until Thursday, December 1st at 10:00 pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program.
