Intergalactic Overlords GWAR are gracing the cover of the January 2026 edition of Decibel Magazine. In celebration of the band’s 40th anniversary and in conjunction with the new cover feature, Decibel’s intrepid author Justin M. Norton went behind the scenes at a GWAR show in San Francisco for the new documentary GWAR: Behind the Gore. The documentary offers a rare look at the unsung heroes who keep the blood-soaked circus alive, highlighting the stage technicians, tour managers, and behind-the-curtain chaos that powers the GWAR machine.
