From Disney and Academy Award(R) winner Robert Zemeckis (Best Director, FORREST GUMP, 1994), comes the craziest adventure this side of the galaxy — MARS NEEDS MOMS. Take out the trash, eat your broccoli — who needs moms, anyway? Nine-year-old Milo (Seth Green) finds out how much he needs his mom (Joan Cusack) when she’s nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. In a race against time and oxygen, his quest to save her knows no bounds. And with some unexpected help, Milo just might find his way back to her — in more ways than one. I don’t think I have a favorite film based on outer space…I liked the movie Paul, but that was an alien that came HERE.
My fav outer space movie is Moon
Land of the lost is my favorite outer space movie!
Definitely “Alien” was one of the best all time films based on outer space. After the sequels though, it became not so entertaining.
ALIEN!!! MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!
My favorite outer space based movie was Wall-E (well, 1/2 of it was in outer space). I loved the message that it conveyed, if we don’t take care of the Earth and control our waste, we will need to leave Earth and live on a giant space ship where we do nothing but sit around, get fat and live a virtual life.
E.T. Always… Made me laugh and cry
Empire Strikes Back is the easy choice.
Aliens. Rare case where I liked a sequel even better then the first.
“Day the Earth Stood Still” is the scariest one I ever saw!
My favorite outer space based film is definitely E.T.
ET is my fave, even my kids like it
my favorite outer space movie is star wars
This is a tough one. I would have to say Aliens.

Star Wars is my favorite movie of all time
I CAN’T IMAGINE MAR’S WITHOUT MOM’S!!!

I have not seen a good outer space film ET … did I just tell my age lol!! Would love to see this one.
The original The Day the Earth Stood Still.
WALL-E! is my favorite.
Along the line of outer space based films, and not just awesome dramas like Apollo 13.. but something taking place on another planet? Either Alien 3 or the more family friendly Planet 51 🙂
Armageddon one of my favorite movies.
I love Independance Day
Definately the best is… SPACEBALLS!
I love 2001: A Space Oddessy
I watch it every chance that I get
Killer Clowns from Outer Space

my favorite outer space based movie has to be the original Alien… A classic!

Great movie….enjoyed it.
Hands down, it has to be ET.
Mars Attack, thanks!
Wall-E; ironically enough, Mars Needs Moms has a similar story in which a being’s loved one is abducted and in the process of saving her, is taken to space himself.
Star Trek is my favorite outer space show.
