ZAKK SABBATH announce digital release and new North American tour dates for winter 2024/25

ZAKK SABBATH
announce
US tour in winter 2024/25
and first official digital album
“Greatest Riffs”

ZAKK SABBATH will be coming to a North American town near you this winter! Please find all currently announced live dates below.

It gets even better: ZAKK SABBATH is going digital! The preeminent BLACK SABBATH tribute band on the planet featuring guitarist and singer Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE, PANTERA), ROB ZOMBIE and OZZY bassist Blasko, and drummer Joey “C” Castillo (DANZIG, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE) has heard their fans clamouring for an official digital release, and now the wait is over: “Greatest Riffs” is online today, September 17, 2024.

“Greatest Riffs” features select songs from the chart-storming ZAKK SABBATH albums “Vertigo” (2020) and “Doomed Forever Forever Doomed” (2024). Originally, the tribute band elected to release these albums in physical formats only to hearken back to the originals. Yet their fans kept asking for an official digital release, so at long last the band has agreed to publish a hand-picked collection assembled in homage to one of BLACK SABBATH’s most ubiquitous releases, “We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n Roll”, the ultimate greatest hits album!

Last fall, Princess Goes — the buzzy band led by the charismatic showmanship and signature voice of vocalist, lyricist, musician and actor Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under, Lazarus) alongside keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen (Blondie, Cyndie Lauper) and drummer Peter Yanowitz (The Wallflowers, Morningwood) — shared their second full-length LP, Come Of Age, via SO In De Goot Recordings.

Today, the band share Come Of Age Deluxe Version, featuring five alternative versions of fan-favorite tracks. Each reimagined song offers a fresh perspective, with unique arrangements and subtle twists, breathing new life into an already captivating album.

Alongside the release of Come Of Age Deluxe Version, the band are highlighting the track “Armageddon Suite (Re-Armed).”

Come Of Age Deluxe Version is available everywhere today via SO In De Goot Recordings.

Following a stint of shows in Europe and a series of U.S. live dates, Princess Goes will be wrapping up their time on the raod with an appearance at Riot Fest in September. Tickets and more information can be found HERE.

PRINCESS GOES LIVE

9/20-9/22 – Bridgeview, IL – Riot Fest – SeatGeek Stadium

Princess Goes – Come of Age – Bio:

“We’re a weird band,” states Princess Goes drummer Peter Yanowitz. He’s not wrong. But weird like David Bowie, Bjork, and Brian Wilson’s Smile might be termed “weird.” In other words: unconventional and quite possibly irresistible.

Princess Goes’ second full-length album, the 12-song Come of Age, is the trio’s most accessible work to date, yet it’s still chock-full of innovative songs that traverse a thrilling and often surprising sonic and lyrical landscape. The first single, “Shimmer,” highlights Michael C. Hall’s powerful, ethereal vocals atop quietly propulsive rhythm lines, and features Stephen Trask (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) as guest guitarist. The track’s equally stunning and expansive video was directed by Tim Richardson (Elton John, Billie Eilish, Givenchy). “Take Me Home” serves up a soaring emotive trippiness that morphs into headbanging moments worthy of the heaviest metaller or your favorite Zeppelin album, while the haunting “Jetpack” showcase Hall’s poignant lyrics and penetrative voice, at once bell-clear and diaphanous, as the song builds to a wild and harrowing conclusion.

The 12 songs on Come of Age are by turns foreboding, mystical and danceable, Ray Bradbury-meets-the-Jetsons in its galactic aural scope. The ominous semi-drone beginning of “Blur” morphs into synthwave spectacularness, the song’s dynamics suiting Hall’s lyrics about “an illicit formative encounter.” Some of Hall’s most pointed writing is on the title track, “Come of Age,” the irresistibly bouncy musicality cut by the singer’s trenchant words: “Godzilla goggles seeing nothing but King Kong makes it hard to get along,” he sings, before deadpanning, “did you really mean it when you told me I was good / or are you just a devil spitting Hollywood.”

“Come of Age,” explains Hall, is neither a command that the audience come of age, nor a suggestion that Princess Goes has reached some adulting milestone. As with much of what the trio does, it just intuitively felt right. It was likewise an easy decision to include a remixed version of a previously released song, the fan favorite “Let It Go.” Princess Goes felt the cut, as originally written, was sort of an outlier. It started with Yanowitz. Matt Katz Bohen took it home, sped it up and it became a little more EDM, but also fun, poppy, and anthemic. The LP’s mixer and frequent collaborator Brandon Bost (HAIM, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga) worked on the song with the Princess Goes (and also plays some bass and keys to the album), and now the band can hardly wait to play the new, slightly more expeditious incarnation of “Let it Go” live.

The New York City-bred trio have been gigging and recording DIY-style for several years, self-producing and releasing a self-titled debut EP in April 2020 and a full-length debut, Thanks for Coming, in 2021. Touring the West Coast as well as the UK and Ireland found new fans clamoring to see the eclectic trio. Fan and press raves followed. The Associated Press lauded the lineup’s “mix of glam, dreamy ‘80s New Wave, acoustic folk, Nine Inch Nails intensity,” while Billboard noted the trio’s “palpable theatricality.” Hall, Katz-Bohen, and Yanowitz are seasoned performers forging new creative ground together in PG: Hall is best known for playing moralistic serial killer Dexter Morgan from Showtime hit Dexter as well as David Fisher from HBO’s revered Six Feet Under. Katz-Bohen has played with Blondie since 2008, while Yanowitz is a veteran of the Wallflowers and his own group, Morningwood.

Though onstage and on paper they’re a keyboards-drums-vocals band, Come of Age is rife with guitar and bass, instruments that play a bigger role than on previous recordings. “I think the original sounds that Matt and Peter first made came about because necessity was the mother of invention,” says Hall. “It’s what was in the studio when they first started making instrumental tracks, electronic drums and a lot of keyboards.”

The musical evolution on Come of Age was organic. “We really fully embraced not limiting ourselves,” says Yanowitz, “and we did embrace the guitar heavily–electric and acoustic–and a lot of bass.”

“We like the fact that a lot of the times you can’t tell instrumentally what’s what,” furthers Katz-Bohen. “People say ‘that sounds like a guitar,’ but it’s actually a keyboard playing through a guitar amp. There’s always that ‘what makes that sound? What is that thing?’” The songs manage to be at once catchy and intoxicating, soundtrack-y musicscapes for the ages, synth- heavy but multi-faceted.

Writing new music since the release of Thanks for Coming, PG recorded Come of Age at the band’s Clubhouse near Manhattan’s Union Square. The central location allowed for stellar guests, including next-door neighbor Maria Peña Paris, a Colombian poet who became the Spanish voice on the Latin-tinged “Whatever Whispers.” “We make a lot of noise at the studio, so she probably gets the brunt of that, and she knows all of our songs,” they recall. One of the lyrics she contributes to “Whatever Whispers” (“what kind of glory are you looking for?” ) came to Hall as he was waiting for coffee before going into the studio. The trio worked up the first version together in the studio, starting with Katz-Bohen jamming on a uniquely tuned 1910 upright piano. Other guests populating Come of Age include singer Chantal Claret (Morningwood) on “Beija,” and Grammy winning opera singer Anthony Roth Costanzo on “Saving Grace.”

Illustrative of Princess Goes’ experimental open-mindedness, the title track came from the street. Literally. “I live in Bushwick, in Brooklyn,” begins Katz-Bohen. “You’ll find a random lot of garbage on the streets. But there was a keyboard, I think from the early to late ‘80s. It’s not great, but it does have this one beautiful sound which became the basis of ‘Come of Age.’ So I sent that around to the guys and everyone put their magic on it.”

Clearly, Come of Age flowed sans any preconceived notions or touchstones. But there’s a clear cohesiveness to the album. “Everything you hear still sounds like it’s ‘in the Museum,’ which is our terminology for something that fits in with our aesthetic,” explains Katz-Bohen. Which leads to the shortened band name: There’s no crazy story behind the original Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum moniker; there are far more interesting things about this trio. But for enquiring minds, they now go by Princess Goes because, in short, it’s shorter. Princess is now free to Go anywhere and everywhere, travelling lighter as PG instead of PGTTBM.

The group’s evolution is ongoing and often unearthly, spacy and provocative in the vein of Bowie’s Blackstar. (Hall played Thomas Newton in the original New York cast of Bowie’s off- Broadway musical swan song, Lazarus). “I think the vibe of the latter third of Come of Age, goes to a place that’s a little more expansive or hopeful or mystically minded,” Hall says. “Though I suppose it starts on that note too. You want some things to have a musical unfolding and flow, but you also want some sort of evolution that makes sense lyrically. I think we managed to do both those things with the sequence.”

And for newbies to the Princess Goes sphere, fair warning: If anyone goes to a PG show to see the “guy from TV,” once Hall is on-stage singing, he says, “that actually sort of takes care of itself. If people have some sort of preconception, it’s pushed aside once we’re up there doing our thing. It’s not unique to this band,” Hall says. “I go to dinner, and people are like, ‘Hey, you’re that guy!?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m not actually that guy.’ It’s just another version of ‘I’m not that guy’.”

Although Come of Age is the group’s second full-length album, Princess Goes are as excited as first-timers. “Until now we’ve been gestating in this small world, being in our own cocoon and working the last bunch of years,” says Yanowitz. “I feel like this group of songs and this sort of statement that we wanted to put out with Come of Age tied in nicely to that. It also felt like we kind of graduated out of that scene the three of had created, and maybe wherever we go next is to the wider world. The making of Come of Age felt like a bookend to the way we were working, a stepping-off point for something new.”

Kevin Smith Enlists Bear McCreary For The Soundtrack To New Film ‘The 4:30 Movie’

KEVIN SMITH ENLISTS BEAR McCREARY FOR THE SOUNDTRACK TO NEW FILM
THE 4:30 MOVIE

FILM AND ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK OUT TODAY – LISTEN

This week, writer-director Kevin Smith’s new film, The 4:30 Movie, premieres with an original soundtrack by award-winning composer Bear McCreary. The two-time GRAMMY®-nominated, Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning composer’s original soundtrack is available now on all DSPs via Sparks & Shadows Records.

Set in the pre-cell phone, social media-free era of the ’80s, The 4:30 Movie is a coming-of-age story about three sixteen-year-old friends (played by Austin Zajur, Nicholas Cirillo, and Reed Northrup) who spend their Saturdays sneaking into movies at the local multiplex. But when one of the guys also invites the girl of his dreams (Siena Agudong) to see the latest comedy, each teen will learn something serious about life and love before the credits roll.

Smith shot the film at his Smodcastle Cinemas in New Jersey—the same movie theater he haunted every weekend when he was a teenager. The trailer and more info about the film are available here.

The film marks the third collaboration between Smith and McCreary, who teamed up previously on Smith’s star-studded animated series for Netflix and Mattel, Masters of the Universe: Revelation and Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

“Bear McCreary made magic with The 4:30 Movie, composing a sonic salute to the ’80s era that’s as much a time tunnel to 1986 as it is a joyful movie score,” says Smith. “The closing banger he and his brother, Brendan, wrote and recorded for the end credits, “24 Karat Case of Love,” is the greatest ’80s radio hit that never happened!”

Adds McCreary, “I was thrilled to join Kevin Smith to score The 4:30 Movie, his nostalgic odyssey back to the 1980s. Inspired by his sweet-natured story, I had a blast writing a synth-soaked score oozing with arpeggios, drum machines, and hair-metal riffs, backed with classic symphonic orchestration. A highlight was collaborating with my brother, Brendan McCreary, on the film’s two original songs, “Astroblaster and the Beaver Men,” which evokes that ’80s futuristic-rock aesthetic, and the film’s end title song, “24 Karat Case of Love,” which feels like a lost synth-pop gem from the neon-tinged, balmy summer of 1986.”

The record seamlessly delivers nine tracks of the band’s signature combination of fuzzy, ’70s-inspired riffs, rich, catchy, grunge-esque vocal melodies, and a touch of old-school psychedelia written and played with the utmost passion and enthusiasm. Denver Westword wrote, “Remedy is a perfect mix of what GOZU does best: spacey psychedelia, fuzzy stoner rock and galloping rock and roll.” Distorted Sound concurred, “…this album has a little bit of everything… it’s gnarly guitar and vocals galore that just oozes with confidence and coolness. Remedy was certainly worth the wait.” Added Sputnik Music, “This is an album that reaches beyond the stoner sphere, expanding the band’s horizons into the metal territory.”

“It was the 80’s. I was so young and scared. I will always remember wandering around the seedy sex arcades of Times Square, pants around my ankles, tears in my eyes…little did I know, I was working on the most important record in the history of shock rock. Legendary Swedish Band Refused Officially Call It Quits & Share Final North American Tour Dates

Legendary Swedish Band Refused Officially Call It Quits

Share Last North American Tour Dates Ever

Announce 25th Anniversary Vinyl Re-Issue Of ‘The Shape Of Punk To Come’ Out November 8th Via Epitaph

For a chance to witness the magic of a live Refused show before they disband for good, tickets go on sale this Friday, September 13 @ 10am local at www.officialrefused.com/live.

Refused drummer David Sandström muses: “We were supposed to do this in June. Roll out our modest farewell run, starting with the Rosendal Garden Party in Stockholm and then doing a few shows here and there before calling it quits end of year. The rehearsals had been magnificent, the vibe was great and two days before the show we played a secret show at Kulturhuset Femman in Uppsala. There were no pictures taken and it wasn’t filmed but it was a great show in front of maybe 60 local scenesters.

We hung out afterwards, I had a few beers and me and Dennis, still vegan and basically straight edge, traded stupid stories about bands we love. It was a fine evening. Next morning I get a call from Dennis’ wife and a couple of tumultuous hours later it’s confirmed that he’s had a heart attack at the hotel.

We played our first show in February 1992. That same week George H.W. Bush and Boris Yeltsin held a press conference at Camp David to declare that the cold war was over. That’s how long ago it was. It was so long ago that I can’t quite remember who we were that wintry Saturday when we piled into a car and drove up to Luleå to play 4 Gorilla Biscuits songs, a Shelter song, an AC\DC song and I think 3 original compositions to a crowd of 50-60 blind drunk northerners. I had just turned 17, had never travelled outside of Sweden and by the time the band broke up in 1998 we had played over 500 shows all over Europe and the US. To say that the band changed our lives would be a gross understatement, and to say that we got to know each other in those seven years is as well. A band that tours becomes like a family, especially when you do it in a van, with maps, scrambling to find a squat in Halberstadt where you were supposed to have started playing an hour ago. And family relations can be difficult. So it was with us.

That was partly why we wanted to give it another shot in 2012. We had made a decent splash in the nineties and the breakup had been very sudden and chaotic, there were feelings and they were not aired out and the whole thing had been such a shitshow that it was almost inevitable that we’d get back on the horse at some point. We wanted a do-over, to see what was still there, if anything, and what could be made of it. There’s a Neil Young song called “Buffalo Springfield Again” where he sings:

“I’d like to see those guys again and give it a shot

Maybe now we can show the world what we got But I’d just like to play for the fun we had”

And that was basically it. We gave it several shots between 2012 and 2024. We all have different takes on how it went and what the legacy of the reformed band will be, but personally I felt we couldn’t quite agree on what we were supposed to do musically, and we were still struggling with that when the pandemic hit. Kristofer felt that he’d done what he wanted to do and left the band in august of 2020 and although there was a delayed effect to the death blow, a death blow it was.

So in the beginning of this year we started making plans to have one last big hurrah, to make the end of the band a fun, generous, indulgent affair. And that’s how it felt after the first show, it’s the best we’ve ever sounded and we were really enjoying ourselves, tossing in old songs we haven’t played since the nineties and even a Misfits cover. And then disaster struck. I visited Dennis in the hospital the day after he was admitted and true to form he was not happy about the hospital gown he was forced to wear. Hooked up to all these machines, unshaven with tousled hair, I swear the first thing he said was: (pointing to the gown) “I mean, this is not great”. I guess they don’t let you wear suits or Negative Approach t-shirts in the hospital.

So on to the good news: Dennis is doing great. He’s one of the healthiest dudes I know, he can’t sit still, exercises a lot and it follows that his recuperation would be swift. He’s gotten excellent care and his doctor has run all the physical tests on him and they all indicate he’s making a full recovery. Needless to say, he’s itching to get back on tour to play shows and he even suggested we should keep preliminary dates set up for the late fall and winter, but we decided to postpone those shows and instead start up in the spring. So yeah, that’s where we’re at. We’re coming to the US in March/April 2025 and we’re looking at what else we can do with the rest of the year, all we know is that we want to finish back home in Sweden at the end of the year. Let us know if there are songs you want us to play and we’ll give them a shot. Hope to see you out there.”

Earlier this Summer, ARMORED SAINT unveiled a brilliant rendition of “One Chain (Don’t Make No Prison).” The classic track was originally written by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter and was first released by People in 1970. Additional covers include The Four Tops (1974), Santana (1978), and The Doobie Brothers (1989).

Said Bush, “[Bassist] Joey [Vera] came up with the idea of doing the song. We’ve always been huge fans of old school soul and R&B music so it was a no brainer. It’s got a great groove, perfect for our rhythm section, and Jeff [Duncan]’s and Phil [Sandoval]’s guitars are screaming. Plus, the cool lyrics make it ideal for the ‘SAINT style. Levi Stubbs [The Four Tops] was such a rad singer; I just tried to do him justice. I think this would make him a metal fan!”

Watch ARMORED SAINT’s video for “One Chain (Don’t Make No Prison)” at THIS LOCATION.

“One Chain (Don’t Make No Prison)” was produced by Joey Vera, mixed by Jay Ruston, and mastered by Maor Applebaum.

Pennywise Frontman Jim Lindberg Announces New Release From His Band The Black Pacific

Band’s First LP in Nearly 14 Years, ‘HERE COMES OUR WAVE,’ Out On September 20th Via Dine Alone Records

Jim Lindberg, lead singer and songwriter for long running California skate punk band, Pennywise, has recorded an 11-song album with his side project band, The Black Pacific, titled HERE COMES OUR WAVE, that will be released on September 20th via Toronto based Dine Alone Records (The Dirty Nil, Jimmy Eat World, NOBRO). The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Paul Miner (Touche’ Amore, Death By Stereo, H20) at his Buzzbomb Studios in Orange, CA over two sessions in the spring and fall of 2023.

Stream the first single “I Think I’m Paranoid” here.

Pre-order the album here.

The Black Pacific previously released their self-titled debut album on SideOneDummy Records in 2010, and, like this new album, all the songs were written and performed by Lindberg, and feature his longtime friend and recording partner, drummer Alan Vega.

“I’ve been writing songs for Pennywise and various projects for many years, and I’ve amassed a catalog of hundreds of demos, literally boxes of cassette tapes from the last few decades,” says Lindberg. “Some of the songs weren’t right for Pennywise, and I worked on them with Alan from The Black Pacific so it just made sense to put out under that name. I think the knee jerk reaction will be to say it all sounds like Pennywise, but I wrote the music and lyrics for more than half of every Pennywise album we made together after Jason our bass player passed away, so I think it’s more accurate to say that Pennywise sounds like me, not the other way around! When I pick up an electric guitar this is the music that comes out of me, regardless of what name it comes out under.”

The album kicks off with the hyper-kinetic opening track and lead-off single, “I Think I’m Paranoid.” Lindberg says of the track, “I’ve had this song for a while now and it was about all the senseless violence, terrorism, government conspiracies and divisiveness that make you want to move to a desert island somewhere, but now I’ve updated it to include hate groups, militias and global pandemics, so it’s basically just a panic attack with distorted guitars at 120 Beats Per Minute.”

The rest of the album doesn’t let up from there with tracks like “No Fun” about sociopath dictators around the world inflicting chaos and death on innocent civilians, and the relentlessly pounding “Here We Come” about the encroaching threat of A.I. taking all our jobs and eventually replacing us completely. The lyrics on this album are extremely timely and reflect the millennial angst that continues to build around the world. “I’ve always felt the need to purge my frustration with our self-defeating tendency to want to destroy ourselves and the planet in a never-ending quest for power, dominance and greed, and that message is more urgent than ever so I didn’t want to wait any longer to put these songs out,” explains Lindberg.

But there are several tracks that are about the resignation that maybe the dreams of acceptance and escape are the only things that help keep hope alive. “Float Away” is a rare love song from Lindberg about wanting to build a raft so he and his wife can float away to “Canada or Timbuktu” – and in “I Won’t Let You Down” he wistfully tells her “Somehow we’ve made it through it all” and now they enjoy the sunsets waiting for “the flash of green, shining through the gold.” The closing title track is Lindberg’s ‘love song to a wave.” A lifelong surfer and member by proxy of Taylor Steele’s Momentum Generation, it’s hard not to hear that Lindberg finds his escape from all the carnage in the world by sharing the ocean waves and spending time with his friends and family.

The long awaited follow up to their first album, HERE COMES OUR WAVE is a powerful, thought provoking album from the Black Pacific that is at the same time resigned to our fate as a highly flawed planet, but hopeful that the bonds of love and respect for nature can hopefully guide us through stormiest of seas.

Iconic rock band, +LIVE+ has released a brand new single, “Lady Bhang (She Got Me Rollin’)” featuring Stone Temple Pilots’ Dean DeLeo on guitar. Buy /stream song HERE.

“I’m so excited for our fans to hear LIVE’s first new release in six years with “Lady Bhang (She Got Me Rollin’)”, says +LIVE+ founder, Ed Kowalcyzk. “It was such a blast to produce this totally “in-house” with LIVE’s Zak Loy (lead guitar) and Nick Jay (keyboards) producing, with otherworldly rhythm section grooves by LIVE’s Johnny Radelat (drums) and Chris Heerlein (bass)… and last but not least, the mystical slide guitar-stylings of the incredible Dean DeLeo of STP! We can’t wait to play it onstage this summer with Dean as we share the stage for a nationwide tour with Stone Temple Pilots! Lyrically, it’s that last cocktail before closing time, that final lap of a race that’s gone on too long…the song is also a kind of thank you letter to the late Junior Kimbrough and his hill-country brethren for all the inspiration they have given me over the years with their unique and strikingly original blues music. Enjoy and see you on the road!”

Dean DeLeo adds, “Love the track and loved playing on it. Thank you for letting me be a part of it.”

The multi-platinum selling bands join forces to celebrate the 30th anniversary of two of the most beloved albums of the 90s, +LIVE+ “Throwing Copper,” and Stone Temple Pilots “Purple.” Fans of the iconic bands can expect a night of hit songs from those albums and much more, with a full set of music by each group spanning generations.

When Stone Temple Pilots returned to the studio in 1994 to record their second album, the band was facing high expectations set by its debut album, Core, which sold more than 8 million copies and won a Grammy Award. The release of Purple would cement their place as one of the most definitive bands of their generation, debuting #1 on the Billboard album chart, releasing the smash singles “Interstate Love Song,” “Vasoline,” and “Big Empty” on its way to selling more than six million copies.

Throwing Copper, the third studio album from +LIVE+ produced by Jerry Harrison of The Talking Heads, set alternative radio on fire with consecutive hit singles, including “Selling the Drama,” “I Alone,” “All Over You,” and the unforgettable radio mainstay, “Lightning Crashes,” which was #1 at Modern Rock Radio for 10 consecutive weeks. Throwing Copper reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and went on to sell over 10 million copies.

Sold Out Summer Of ’99 Tour Rolls On
Are You Ready? Arena Tour Kicks Off In November

To celebrate the release of the 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Human Clay, Creed is releasing a brand new music video for the album opener, “Are You Ready?.” The live performance music video was filmed over the first week of the band’s sold out “Summer of ‘99” tour that is currently running through North America. Creed – comprised of Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips – has been playing to capacity audiences since the tour kicked off on July 17th. Directed by Dan Sturgess, the video for “Are You Ready?” captures the band’s triumphant return to the stage after 12 years and can be seen here: https://found.ee/areyoureadymv.

In September 1999, Creed—a rising rock band from Tallahassee, FL—released their sophomore album, Human Clay. Full of anthemic hits, including “Higher,” “What If,” “Are You Ready?,” and the GRAMMY®-winning “With Arms Wide Open,” Human Clay propelled Creed to the top of the Billboard charts, going on to become one of the best-selling albums of all time. Now available everywhere, the deluxe edition (2-CD and digital) features the newly remastered original album, plus a wealth of bonus material, including a complete, never-before-heard concert recording, captured in San Antonio, TX in 1999. The digital edition offers six additional bonus tracks, including alternate versions of “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open,” and a cover of the Doors classic “Roadhouse Blues” featuring the Doors guitarist and founding member, Robby Krieger (recorded live at Woodstock ’99). The original album can also be found on various limited edition color pressings. All formats can be streamed/ordered at https://found.ee/humanclay25.

Released in September 1999, Human Clay cemented Creed as certified superstars, debuting at No.1 on the Billboard 200, where it remained for a record-breaking 104 weeks. The album’s first single, “Higher,” spent a whopping 57 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No.7, and topping the Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock charts for 17 weeks. The 2x Platinum single “With Arms Wide Open,” became Creed’s first No.1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100—a spot it held for four weeks – and earned the band a GRAMMY for Best Rock Song and a nod for Best Rock Vocal Performance. Recently, the band released their iconic music videos in HD. Head to Creed’s official YouTube channel to watch the newly restored videos for the album’s iconic music videos “With Arms Wide Open,” “What If,” and “Higher,” alongside the new video for “Are You Ready?”.

Human Clay has sold over 11 million copies in the US alone, achieving a rare Diamond certification by the RIAA. In 2009, it ranked at No.5 on Billboard’s 200 Albums of the Decade roundup. Today, it remains one of the best-selling albums of all time in the US, while it has sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Additionally, the band’s Greatest Hits collection continues to climb the contemporary charts, with the 2004 collection resurfacing in Top Rock Albums (currently No.22), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No.27), Top Alternative Albums (No.13), and now entering its 19th consecutive week in the Billboard 200 (No.119).

The band is out on the Summer of ’99 Tour (currently Sold Out), that kicked off in July and runs through September, where they’ll be joined by the likes of 3 Doors Down, Finger Eleven, Switchfoot, Fuel, Big Wreck, and Daughtry. F-1 Trillion includes genre royalty such as Dolly Parton, Hank Williams JR., and Tim McGraw as well as a new vanguard of skyrocketing superstars a la Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, and more.

He preceded the album with a procession of hits, most recently including “Guy For That” featuring Luke Combs. Beyond piling up 27 million Spotify streams, it earned widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone proclaimed, “FOLLOWING UP A chart-topping country song with another country banger? Post Malone found the guy for that: Luke Combs.” Of the LP, The New York Times applauded how, “Amid tributes to the old-school classics and ‘90s power country, there’s outlaw storytelling with the next-generation bluegrass star Billy Strings and an album-closing daddy-daughter ballad, in which Post imagines his toddler’s future wedding.”

Meanwhile, Post’s record-breaking mega-smash “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen continues to dominate the charts and the conversation. Upon release, it crash landed at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, tallying “the highest weekly sales and streams since 2020.” It became Post’s sixth #1 and Wallen’s second #1. It has clinched the #1 spot on the Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks, emerging as “the longest running number one song of 2024.” Not to mention, it took flight as “the first single to debut at #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and hold the top on each chart for three weeks to follow.”

Toppling the Billboard Global 200 chart as well, it has already gathered over 1 billion streams.
“I Had Some Help” arrived on the heels of Post and Wallen’s landmark sets at Stagecoach Festival 2024 in Indio, CA. On Saturday, Post performed his first ever Stagecoach set with a lineup of country covers and welcomed superstar guests Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, and Dwight Yoakam during the standout performance. On Sunday, Post joined Wallen on stage for the live debut of “I Had Some Help” in front of the sold out crowd.

The man in question is Keith Buckley, and these aren’t flames of destruction either. instead, this conflagration merely signals the beginning for the vocalist and his cohorts—brothers Charlie [guitar] and Nick Bellmore [drums, bass, backing vocals]. scratching an itch for catharsis, the music swings from fits of venomous hardcore into disarmingly catchy choruses spiked with grunge melody and quotable lyrics.

Unpredictable and undeniable in equal measure, many eyes come to life on a series of independent singles in 2023 and much more to come.

“This is an expression of who I am,” Buckley proclaims. “I’m letting the music do the talking. I really trusted my collaborators. I’m not interested in being known as a frontman. I just want to be another part of the band who uses his own instrument to complete the picture. that’s what I’m doing with Many Eyes.”

A long and winding road brought Buckley to many eyes. the Buffalo native has fronted metalcore stalwarts Every Time I Die as well as the Damned Things (featuring Scott Ian of Anthrax and Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley of Fall Out Boy), and lent his instantly recognizable vocals to everyone from Knocked Loose to seeyouspacecowboy and Say Anything, played countless shows, and even penned two books.

in 2021, after fronting Every Time I Die for over two decades, he reached an impasse and needed to make a change. focusing on his mental health, he chose sobriety, spent a month in a recovery facility “to learn how to live soberly,” and reorganized his priorities as a father and husband.

Ultimately, he gained new perspective all around.

“After the pandemic, I realized I had made a lot of really bad decisions in life, and I was reaping what I had sown,” he admits. “There was no meaning anymore. So, I vowed to do things differently. I started getting sober. When you do, most of your relationships based on alcohol go away. My current wife and my daughter were my entire support system. During that time, i didn’t think about music at all.”

That’s until Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta reached out. He suggested Keith consider working with Charlie and Nick Bellmore. “It was wonderful to hear a friendly voice say, ‘Hey, this could be good for you,’” he elaborates. “I just got in my car and drove to Connecticut. They showed me what they were working on, and the music was exactly what I wanted—while their trust and patience were exactly what I needed.”

As it turns out, the three musicians bonded over a shared deep-seated appreciation for nineties hard rock and alternative, including Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Jane’s Addiction. Locking into a groove, they struck a delicate balance between pit-splitting intensity and arresting infectiousness with brothers Charlie playing guitar, Nick playing bass/drums and also producing the new music, while Jamey Jasta took on the role of executive producer.

“I was super excited to fully incorporate huge hooks into devastating mosh riffs,” he grins. “It’s something I’d always wanted to do. For me, it’s a complete release to express anger through big sweeping choruses.”

The single “Revelation” introduces Many Eyes. From the jump, a guttural guitar riff underlines Buckley’s vitriolic screams. Melody only enhances the drama on the catchy chorus, “Look me in the eyes again, look me in the eyes. i dare you.”

“It’s a very aggressive song, and it’s confrontational lyrically,” he reveals. “I was still at a point in my sobriety where I thought I had to speak bluntly in order to heal. Then, I found recovery was about a lot of acceptance. I wrote ‘Revelation’ before I went to this facility in Salt Lake City. While I was there, I did the 12 steps, and I was diagnosed with bipolar 1. I had unknowingly been living with that my whole life and self-medicating with alcohol and drugs. the message of ‘Revelation’ is, ‘I can do this if I have love.’ I don’t need anything else. it’s very punk rock.”

“Future Proof” represents the other end of the spectrum. on the track, uneasy guitars toss and turn beneath the verses, and the refrain echoes with naked emotion.

“It was the first song back after recovery,” he goes on. “I had found out what was wrong with me. Now, I’m fully prepared to deal with anything that happens in the future—any loss or any gain. nothing will shock me anymore, because of everything i already went through.”

Out of the flames, Buckley’s still standing, and he’s ready to tell his story like never before.

“From all of these experiences, I’ve become wiser,” he leaves off. “I’m the same person, but i have a better understanding of my own purpose now. I want to use these experiences to help people get out of situations where they feel helpless. I’m trying to show that hope and recovery are possible.”
