BMG are proud to announce the worldwide release of the second album by Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen, entitled Black Light / White Noise on March 7th. The news comes alongside the release of the album’s first single, “White Noise.”

Recorded at The House, Los Angeles, California, produced by Richie and Adrian and mixed by Jay Ruston, the ten-track album is a masterclass in modern rock, with Adrian and Richie’s prodigious talents as songwriters, musicians and vocalists on full display.

Lead single “White Noise” perfectly illustrates the quality and strength of the album, boasting a gloriously heavy riff, soaring vocals, driving rhythms and a hook-filled chorus. Adrian Smith comments: “The song is about the rise of social media, how people get addicted to it, the power of it and how we get bombarded with it 24/7.”

“It was actually a riff Adrian brought in,” adds Richie Kotzen, “I then immediately started improvising the melody and the lyric that became the chorus. It had another working title, completely different to what it ended up being and we kind of came up on the spot with that call and answer in the chorus that turned into ‘White Noise’.”

The accompanying video sees the two guitar heroes delivering a performance as cool as it is effortless and showcases the great partnership they have formed. Watch HERE.

And that partnership has flourished and grown beautifully since their debut self-titled album in March 2021. Released to widespread critical acclaim, it was a melting pot of hard rock and traditional R&B that was a powerful calling card for what these two icons can do. On its follow-up Black Light / White Noise the duo has risen to even greater heights, producing a truly magnificent collection of songs that stands shoulder to shoulder with the finest work either of them have ever produced.

From the opening heavy blast of “Muddy Water” through to the epic and stately closer “Beyond The Pale,” these ten songs illustrate the myriad talents at Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen’s disposal and reveal that this is both an album and a partnership that will endure for years to come.

Richie Kotzen comments: “We’re so proud of this new album – it follows on from our debut and the EPs by focusing on collaborating on riffs, lyrics, harmonies and vocals. Regarding the album, Leach continues, “‘This Consequence’, to me, is the combination of everything the past five years has thrown at us as a band, as humans, and society as a whole. This album is just as much about everybody and their stories as it is for me about my journey personally. Sonically, I love the combination of everybody’s ideas and contributions on this album. It feels more like a collaboration than the past few records have been. When all is said and done, I wouldn’t change anything about this album.”

He finishes, “I think it’s the exact record we needed to make. I’m honored and proud of what we all were able to create and refine through this music and message.”

New Music Video, “Where I Reign” is Released Today

Following his recent tour with Lamb of God and Mastodon and his first European headline tour earlier this year, Kerry King and his new band – drummer Paul Bostaph (Slayer), bassist Kyle Sanders (HELLYEAH), guitarist Phil Demmel (Machine Head), and vocalist Mark Osegueda (Death Angel) – will hit the road for the twenty-eight date “North American Headline Tour 2025.” The tour is in support of King’s debut solo album, From Hell I Rise (RPM), which, according to the UK’s Kerrang!, ”The phrase ‘metal as f*ck’ may never be better applied.” With Municipal Waste as Special Guest and Alien Weaponry supporting, the tour is set to launch in San Francisco on January 15, 2025, and wrap at House of Blues in Las Vegas on February 22. Also announced today is the release of King’s brand new music video for the album track, “Where I Reign.” Shot in black and white, the “Where I Reign” video was directed by Jim Louvau who also directed King’s videos for the album cuts “Residue” and “Toxic.” “I wanted to capture the fury and the energy of the band in a live setting,” said Louvau, “an intensity that is matched from a visual standpoint that matches the intensity of the song and the energy that the band brings each and every night on tour, and I think we were able to do that. There are some still photos in the video that also show motion and energy, and I was really just trying to bring that energy to life in a live setting that is different from the other two videos that were done in the studio and were a little more in a controlled environment. BMG, in partnership with Rhino Entertainment, announces the release of ‘Out Of The Cellar’ 40th Anniversary, celebrating RATT’s massively successful first studio album with Limited Edition versions which include an UNRELEASED TRACK recorded during the 1983 Out of the Cellar sessions.

Formed in Los Angeles, RATT was featured as an unsigned act on Uncle Joe Benson’s Local Licks Drive Time Show on KLOS-FM. This was their first time on radio and led to their signing to Atlantic Records.

Featuring the classic line up of Stephen Pearcy (vocals), Warren DeMartini (guitars), Robbin Crosby (guitars), Juan Croucier (bass/vocals), and Bobby Blotzer (drums), RATT exploded on to the national scene in 1984 with the release of ‘Out Of The Cellar.’

Featuring an undeniable hook and legendary music video, the lead single “Round And Round” hit #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, while ‘Out Of The Cellar’ reached #7 on the Billboard Top 200 and was certified triple platinum. Two more charting singles followed with “Back For More” and “Wanted Man”.

Out of the Cellar became a huge success, and after the album was released, the band went on a world tour, selling out stadiums and arenas worldwide and sharing a stage with acts such as Ozzy Osborne, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Twisted Sister and more.

This Limited Edition of Out Of The Cellar is being released in red and black splatter vinyl with a lenticular cover and an additional neon orange 7” with the unreleased track ‘Reach for the Sky’, as well as a Limited Edition CD format with lenticular cover and unreleased track.
