To celebrate Disney’s Diamond Edition Blu-Ray™ release of “The Lion King”, Media Mikes would like to giveaway 10 copies of the Blu-ray™ Combo Pack (Blu-ray™ + DVD). If you would like to win one of these great prizes, please leave us a comment below or send us an email and let us know your favorite song from “The Lion King”. This giveaway will be open until Monday October 10th at Noon, Eastern Time and is only open to residents of the United States. Only one entry per person, per household; all other entries will be considered invalid. Once the giveaway ends, Movie Mikes will randomly pick out winners and alert the winners via email.

  1. My favorite song is I’m Gonna Be A Mighty King!!! Not sure if that’s the actual title of the song, but I’m sure you know what I’m referring to 🙂

  8. Can you feel the love tonight! The best and romantic beautiful song in the film. But every other song is good as well.

  9. The Circle of Life. It is also my favorite song OF ALL TIME! Also, The Lion King is my favorite film OF ALL TIME!

  10. I would have to say the best song is Hakuna Matata followed by Can You Feel the Love Tonight as a close second.

  12. Circle of Life is the one that truly gives me chills. It’s depth and epic feel pushed the filmmakers to put forward their richest and most vibrant animation seen in the film to keep up with it.

  13. You can easily pick your favorite song out of Hunchback of Notre Dame or Pocahontas. But the Lion King is just so pitch perfect I actually had to do the process of elimination for this one. Hakuna Matata is is so gleeful and snappy that it can bring me out of my funk on the worst of days. The death of Mufasa was devastating to those who witnessed it but Timone and Pumba’s goofy, earnest attitudes brought everyone back to the entertainment aspect of the movie.

  14. Sorry, but I Just Can’t Wait To Be King takes the cake. Its striking visuals combined with those energetic yet nostalgically innocent voices reminds us kids of the 90’s of our high expectations of the future. Even with the hectic job schedules and unbearable college classes we endure today, we still have hope while hearing it.

  28. All of the songs in The Lion King are great and get stuck in my head, but I think The Circle of Life is my favorite. 🙂

  41. I love the short song that Timon sings about Pumbaa being a tasty piece of meat “If you’re hungry for a hunk of meat.. etc.” not sure what the song is called.

  42. My only complaint music-wise about Lion King is that Disney Homogenized the sounds of Africa too much with the POP sound of Elton John. I wished more black/caribbean groups like Earth, Wind & Fire and Osibisa were included for the soundtrack. John was great…if all you want is a European sound, typical of MOST Disney protect. Don’t get me wrong, Elton did nice stuff, but I was just hoping for more from the producers in charged of selecting the music.

  52. Can You Feel the Love Tonight, is my favorite. Great song that almost didn’t make it into the film, Elton John had to fight to keep it in.
