Join the wildest wedding party of the year when Bridesmaids marches down the aisle to Blu-ray™, DVD and digital download on September 20, 2011, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Hailed as “brazenly hysterical” by People Magazine and “the best comedy of 2011” (Back Stage), Bridesmaids is the riotously funny and warmly outrageous comedy that has become the most talked about movie of the year. Critically acclaimed by fans and media alike, the “certified fresh” film (Rotten Tomatoes.com) received “two thumbs up! ®” from Ebert Presents. Surpassing Sex and the City as the number one R-rated female comedy of all time, Bridesmaids starring “Saturday Night Live” standouts Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, is produced by comedy mastermind Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40-Year Old Virgin) and marks his most successful film ever.

  1. I hope I can win. I never win anything. Pick me! Haha! My favorite female comedy I have to say is The First Wives Club.

  2. Favorite female comedy is Bridesmaids hands down, no doubt about it. Never in my life have I laughed so hard during a movie. More than once I thought I was going to pee my pants. 🙂

  3. Mean Girls – perfectly captured the semi-resentment we women hold against each other while remaining allies. While it brought to life some of the back stabbing and outbursts of anger we’ve all had to endure sooner or later, it wasn’t neglectful of the fact that there still are some good, well-meaning people in the world and it’s never too late to make things right.

  4. Juno – even if you push the pregnancy subplot to the sidelines, Juno is still a strong character study of a young teenage woman. Even though her witty responses and cynical perspective suggest that she might be as smart as she thinks she is, she is still a vulnerable and breakable girl with a consistent feeling of uneasiness.

  5. I would have to say Easy A. Emma Stone was doing movies for years as the understudy and all that work finally payed off. She proved to be even more charismatic and enlightening than the leads of whom she once starred under. Not only did her breezy presence win me over, but Easy A reminisces of the John Hughes day no differently than the way Super 8 complimented E.T. The tone is sunny, the humor expands to issues we actually confront in real life and it proposes a message that some people need to fight their own battles.

  6. Bridesmaids is my favorite female comedy. It’s absolutely hysterical! Thanks for the giveaway!

  7. My favorite female comedy was sex in the city, bridesmaids was just as funny, I would love to add this great movie to my dvd collections.

  9. My favorite female comedy used to be The Sweetest Thing… However, Bridesmaids have definitely topped that. I went to the movies at least 3 times and I laughed more and more each time. My 73 year old grandmother somehow went and seen this movie and it was hilarious talking to her about it. She even loved it. Best Female Comedy. HANDS DOWN. I made my sister see it and she’s not even into comedies. And she cracked up the entire time. This movie helped me realize my sister does have a sense of humor. 🙂

  10. I haven’t had the opportunity to see this movie yet. I heard it was hilarious.
My favorite female comedy would have to be “Waiting to Exhale”…..

  11. Bridesmaids is the funniest movie ever! Female comedy or otherwise. Saw it twice in the theaters and would see it a hundred times more!

  12. I really liked “Nine to Five” when it originally was released. Just watched it again recently and it’s still funny. Would love to have a copy of “Bridesmaids.”

  13. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) would have to be my favorite female comedy. When Kat flashes the teacher as a destraction to get Patrick out of detention. I just cant stop laughing.

  14. “Never Been Kissed” with Drew Berrymore is one of my favorites!!! I have not seen Bridesmaids yet, but I really want to and I know I will love it!

  15. My favorite, favorite female comedy is Baby Mama! Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are such a hilarious duo.

  16. I think Baby Mama for me as well…I see someone else mentioned it, but I love Amy and Tina. They are great together.

  17. Miss Congeniality is one of my favorite movies, love Sandra Bullock, wish she would do more comedy, also loved her in The Proposal.

  18. Thelma and Louise. This movie actually terrifies me. My sister is getting married (again) and guess who has to wear a nasty dress.

  19. I’d love this movie for my wife, but it looks pretty funny, so I’d probably enjoy it too!

  20. my favorite female comedy is “Outrageous Fortune”, so funny watching the ladies get revenge on their men
