GRAMMY® Award Winning musician, producer, author as well as founding member of hard rock bands Alter Bridge, Creed and Tremonti, Mark Tremonti is “stepping out” with his most-ambitious and challenging project to date. Mark has partnered with National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) as he releases an album of Frank Sinatra covers entitled Tremonti Sings Sinatra. The album of selections from Frank Sinatra’s catalog is being released as part of a new charity initiative created by Tremonti called Take A Chance For Charity. Proceeds from the album – scheduled for release on May 27th – will go to support NDSS and the work they do to advocate for and support individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Mark and his family were blessed to welcome their first daughter Stella last March – who was born with Down syndrome – and the idea for the project was born. A video sharing the story of Take A Chance For Charity can be seen here: https://youtu.be/7FroQm-63RI.

“For years, I’ve loved singing along to Frank’s songs,” Mark explains. “One night, I found an old video of him performing ‘The Song Is You’ from 1944. It made me want to dive into his vocal approach. I was all in and I wanted to do something with it. When we found out about our daughter Stella’s Down syndrome diagnosis, the stars aligned. My obsession with Sinatra had its reason. Frank Sinatra raised more than a billion dollars for charity and that is a fact I wish the public the public knew more about. Beneath his cool and calm persona, he had a big heart. Doing this charity in his name was another way the stars had aligned. I decided to do this record to raise funds for families and individuals with Down syndrome. This project is the start of a new purpose that I will have for the rest of my life.”

Mark Tremonti has come together with surviving members of Frank Sinatra’s orchestra, creating new takes on some of the classics and some deeper cuts from Frank’s catalog. From the opening horns and piano of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” to final vocal outro of “All Or Nothing At All,” Mark Tremonti showcases the signature vocal approach and exemplary musicianship that made Sinatra’s work timeless. To see his vision through, Mark reached out to Frank Sinatra’s musical director Mike Smith who collected as many remaining members as possible of Frank’s touring band to record the music for Tremonti Sings Sinatra. Popular standards like “I’ve Got The World On A String,” “My Way” and “That’s Life” find new life in the hands of these incredible musicians. Mark Tremonti – known for his guitar work that has won him countless accolades – leaves the instrument behind and just sings on the 14-track album. The artwork on the album cover is an original painting that Tremonti created especially for this project. A video for the first track “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” can be seen here: https://youtu.be/vSqQ7Bdpxn0.

About SUMO CYCO and Initiation:
Over the course of the past several years, Ontario, Canada’s SUMO CYCO – featuring teen pop-superstar/songwriter turned rock goddess Skye “Sever” Sweetnam as well as producer/guitarist Matt “MD13” Drake and bassist Oscar Anesetti – have proven themselves as one of the hardest working DIY-to-overnight sensation stories in heavy music, boasting an undeniable following of fans with their impressive mixture of metal, pop and everything in between. Even after garnering early viral acclaim and signing to Napalm Records in 2020, the band’s seasoned DIY attitude and self-starting viral savvy continues to propel their creativity at every step, converting audiences all around to their infectious world of sound!

Prior to signing with Napalm Records, SUMO CYCO won awards such as “Best Female-Fronted” band at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, top finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, Indie Week Canada “Best of the Fest” (prize included a trip to play Indie Week Ireland), as well as Best Hard/Loud Recording at the Hamilton Music Awards 2015. The band has shared stages with The Offspring, Coal Chamber, Our Lady Peace, Life of Agony, Hollywood Undead, Jinjer, The Birthday Massacre, Nonpoint, Butcher Babies, and FOZZY to name a few.

After launching their most recent, breakout album Initiation (2021) with the hooky hit “Bystander” (which recently hit the 1 million views mark on YouTube) it was immediately clear that SUMO CYCO is lightning in a bottle. Garnering hundreds of thousands of cross-platform streams and nearly instantaneous, rabid response to their self-produced music videos, the band turned the heads of fans and critics alike! Alternative Press dubbed SUMO CYCO a “New Artist You Need To Hear” and Kerrang called the album “a breathless blur of energy and action”. Revolver praised the band’s first single as “…ridiculously catchy…” and SiriusXM’s Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin, who said “…the chorus will stick in your head for days to come…”, went on to feature it on Octane and Liquid Metal. Upon release, the album landed at #1 on both the Canadian and UK iTunes Metal Charts, and within the top 5 in the United States.

Initiation invites a mass of new followers into SUMO CYCO’s warped, dystopian-like world of “Cyco City”! As with their prior full-length albums Lost In Cyco City (2014) and Opus Mar (2017), and countless singles, Initiation is based in the imaginative conceptual location of the same name. Last fall, SUMO CYCO took the album a step further and dropped the official Digital Deluxe Edition of Initiation, featuring peppy new single “Sun Eater”, plus additional limited edition tracks “New Jive”, “We Are The Nation” and “Awakened”.

What Options do SMBS have for IT Support

IT Support is especially important for small to medium sized businesses. Of course, these days it is almost impossible to conduct business without IT, and therefore IT is a necessity. But unfortunately, SMBs often don’t invest enough time or enough money into getting the right IT Support for their business. This may be because of budget restraints or simply because they are prioritising endeavours which will help their business more directly. We spoke with TechQuarters, a company providing IT support and service solutions to many small to medium sized businesses in London. They discussed the options SMBs have for their IT.

Outsourced IT Support

To start with, outsourced IT support is perhaps the best solution for SMBs in terms of making sure they have access to the expertise and resources needed to keep their business going and avoid downtime due to technology. IT support for small business is not just a service, it’s almost like an insurance policy against issues that could slow down your business operations and prevent you from working for long periods of time.

Full IT Support – as you can guess, this is the most comprehensive type of IT support you can get from an outsourced provider. It gives you access to all the features your provider can offer for supporting your IT infrastructure. This will usually involved access to some form of helpdesk that can manage cases and help fix issues remotely; but the Full IT Support package should also include access to physical, onsite support – this means your provider can send engineers to your site to help fix IT issues.

Remote IT Support – one of the great things about modern technology is that more and more IT issues can now be fixed completely remotely. In fact, TechQuarters told us that 80% of IT issues can be resolved remotely – all their engineers need to do is take remote control of a users’ computer, and they can go through the steps of fixing whatever issue they have. Additionally, if the customers’ IT infrastructure has been migrated to the Cloud, more complicated issues, such as network or server issues, can also be investigated and fixed remotely.

IT Manager or ‘Bounce out’ Support – this is a more selective type of support. Let’s say your company already has an IT specialist who is the official IT manager of the organisation. Now let’s say your business has taken on new employees, your network has grown, and the overall demand being placed on your IT department has grown. This may be too much for a single IT manager, or even a small team of engineers. This is why IT support providers like TechQuarters offer services that actually work alongside a customers’ internal team – it is a way of taking the pressure off of the customers’ own staff.

If you are an SMB, outsourced IT support is most definitely a great solution to consider. If you are in London, there are so many options for London IT services. If you want a solution for your IT that can be adapted as your company grows, then outsourced IT is well worth considering.

STEEL PANTHER LAUNCH VIRTUAL PHOTO EXHIBITION “SEX, JPEGS AND ROCK & ROLL” TO SUPPORT LIVE CONCERT PHOTOGRAPHERS

Band Will Curate A New Gallery Every Two Weeks With Prints For SaleIn Various Configurations To Support Concert Photographers Who Have Covered The Band Throughout The Years

https://steelpantherrocks.com/pages/sex-jpgs-rock-n-roll

First Photographer Niall Fennessy Will Open His Virtual Gallery With An Interview With Stix Zadinia on February 1st at 12:00PM PST

As the music industry waits for a time when touring can return and fans can gather to celebrate the music of their favorite artists again, Steel Panther has begun another charitable endeavor to help support concert photographers that have been sidelined since the Covid-19 pandemic began. Aside from venues, promoters, support staff, and patrons – concert photographers have had no performances to cover since March 2020.

Steel Panther has decided to partner with 7 of their longtime collaborators to curate a virtual photo exhibition of each individual’s work for a 2-week period. Each photographer has captured the band with their lens at various points of their career. Fans can purchase exclusive prints that were hand-picked by the band and photographers in various configurations with the profits going to help each photographer during this touring shutdown. All images are available as a Premium Matte Poster, Framed Print or Framed Canvas with prices starting as low as $24.99.

The photo exhibition will be available to see and purchase here: https://steelpantherrocks.com/pages/sex-jpgs-rock-n-roll.

To coincide with the launch of each gallery, an individual band member will interview the photographer about their work, any memories from covering Steel Panther, and allow fans to interact with them when time permits. The first gallery will be by legendary photographer Niall Fennessy who has been following the band for years. Drummer Stix Zadinia will sit down with Niall at 12:00PM PST on February 1st for a chat.

The conversation will be available online afterwards and fans can go to: https://steelpantherrocks.com/pages/sex-jpgs-rock-n-roll to check out the conversation. A new gallery will be available for fans to peruse and purchase and every 2 weeks.

The schedule for photographers is:

Feb 1: Niall Fennessy – interviewed by Stix

Feb 15: Joe Lester – interviewed by Satchel

Mar 1: Richard Booth – interviewed by Satchel

Mar 15: Evil Robb – interviewed by Michael

Mar 29: Pamela Sprenger – interviewed by Lexxi

Apr 12: Charlie Steffens – interviewed by Michael

Apr 26: David Jackson – interviewed by Stix

“You see them all the time. They block your view for the first 3 songs and you may even kick them in the back of the head while crowd surfing, but these unsung heroes never complain or kick you back. These photographers have been friends of Steel Panther for a while and we decided for all they have done for us, this was the least we can do. So grab your fancy berets and prepare to learn a thing or two from Steel Panther photography exhibit Sex, JPEGS and Rock & Roll. Admission is free so don’t be cheap and buy something to support these artists.”

10 Years Continue to Tour In Support of Hit Album “(how to live) As Ghosts)”

10 YEARS CONTINUES TO TOUR IN SUPPORT OF HIT ALBUM
(how to live) AS GHOSTS MIXING HEADLINE APPEARANCES WITH
CANADIAN DATES SHARING THE STAGE WITH SHINEDOWN AND
IN THIS MOMENT ALONGSIDE SHOWS WITH BREAKING BENJAMIN

10 Years continues the heavy touring schedule that began with their return to the scene in support of the band’s latest studio album (how to live) AS GHOSTS. The lead single “Novacaine” has been a smash at active rock radio, across streaming platforms globally, and on video domains like YouTube where the official video has been viewed over 1.1 million times (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1glGnGOpf6c), The album marks the return of Brian Vodinh (guitar / drums) and Matt Wantland (guitar), and is their sixth full-length studio release, Produced by Grammy Award winner Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, Deftones, KoRn, Mastodon), the repertoire has been celebrated by fans and critics alike. On release, singer Jesse Hasek shared, “It’s funny. I named our last record From Birth to Burial (2015) because I thought it was our final record. It just didn’t feel like 10 Years without Brian and Matt, and having them back is really a reunion of the core writing team. This new record actually feels like a real rebirth for the band.”

The deep connection to these songs that is emerging from the fan base reflects the directness singer Hasek took with his lyrics. He shares, “In the past, I’ve written a lot of songs that were pretty ambiguous. But on this record, I’m comfortable being direct and talking about things that are important to me now. I’m older and find myself reflecting on the world more, especially after having traveled the globe. I’ve crossed paths with a lot of people, and perspectives shared have been enlightening for me as I look at The World. I see what’s going on around me. All the political, social, and religious turmoil, it had me thinking about how many people are judging and preparing for death, but are actually missing life. And, instead of using spirituality for good, a lot of people use it to point fingers and judge. Instead of worrying where we end up in the end, we need to focus on the now and the humanity.” Since release, the band has toured with Vodinh on guitar, Chad Huff on bass, and Kyle Mayer on drums. Vodinh reflects, “We’re bringing it back to the way it should be. It feels great to be back with these guys and we’re in such a good place musically and creatively.”

Eric Johnson hits the road to support first all acoustic solo album “EJ”

ERIC JOHNSON HITS THE ROAD TO SUPPORT FIRST
ALL ACOUSTIC SOLO ALBUM TITLED EJ

Tour Kicks Off At Jackson, MS’ Duling Hall on October 5 And Wraps In His Hometown of Austin, TX At The Paramount Theatre on November 19

Austin, TX – Eric Johnson will hit the road next week in support of his first acoustic solo album titled EJ. Thirty years after his breakthrough solo release ‘Tones’ brought him national recognition, the new release showcases nine original compositions and four covers. Johnson shares, “Ever since I was young, I’ve played piano and acoustic guitar in my private life. This type of music has always been a part of me, but I never showcased it on any kind of bigger level, like a full acoustic record. With EJ, I just decided to be more honest with myself and everybody, and show more of my personal side.”

Johnson, long known for his painstaking approach to making records, used a much more immediate attack for the self-produced EJ. “Almost all of that material was cut live,” Johnson explains. “Some of the songs I actually sang and played at the same time – just live in the studio. Recording this way gave it more of an honest realism and organic emotion. Especially on the acoustic, you just have to get in there and play.”

On the original compositions “Wonder,” “Fatherly Downs,” and “All Things You Are,” Johnson frames his voice with his prized 1980 Martin D-45, a gift from his late father. He plays the steel-string on his superlative instrumentals “Once Upon a Time in Texas,” “All Things You Are,” and “Song for Irene.” He conjures the beautiful, pensive tones of “Serinidad,” another original instrumental, on a Ramirez nylon-string guitar. A spirited steel-string arrangement of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson” rounds out the solo guitar tracks.

Johnson recasts another Simon and Garfunkel favorite, “Scarborough Fair,” for voice and piano, and plays piano on the originals “Water Under the Bridge,” “November,” and “Wrapped in a Cloud,” an ensemble track with acoustic bass, cello, drums, and percussion. In a move that’s sure to surprise his fans, Johnson rearranged Jimi Hendrix’ “One Rainy Wish” for guitar and piano, capping the performance with a jazz-inflected piano solo. Rounding out the record is Johnson and guest guitarist Doyle Dykes’ superlative cover of Les Paul and Mary Ford’s 1951 classic, “The World Is Waiting for the Sunrise.”

Throughout his career, Johnson has approached music as a healing force, a way to enhance a listener’s consciousness and conjure joy and inspiration. “That’s what I’ve always appreciated most about other artists,” he says. “Some artists inspire us to wake up and get back to the clarity of consciousness. With this record, I’m trying to do that too, because I appreciate it so much in other people.”
