Executive-produced by the creators/executive producers of the Emmy Award-winning “Phineas and Ferb” series, Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, “Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe” is an adventure story that tracks stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb as they set out across the galaxy to rescue their older sister Candace, who after being abducted by aliens, finds utopia in a far-off planet, free of pesky little brothers.

Voice talent reprising their roles from the original series and movie include: Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn; Vincent Martella as Phineas Flynn; Caroline Rhea as their mom, Linda; Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus; Alyson Stoner as Isabella; Maulik Pancholy as Baljeet; Bobby Gaylor as Buford; Olivia Olson as Vanessa Doofenshmirtz; Tyler Mann as Carl; and Povenmire and Marsh as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram, respectively. David Errigo Jr. joins the cast as Ferb Fletcher.

The movie also stars: Ali Wong (“American Housewife”) as Super Super Big Doctor; Wayne Brady (“Whose Line Is It Anyway?”) as Stapler Fist; Diedrich Bader (“American Housewife”) as Borthos; and Thomas Middleditch (“Silicon Valley”) as Garnoz.

In addition to Povenmire and Marsh, the talented crew includes: director Bob Bowen (“Family Guy”), composer Danny Jacob (“Phineas and Ferb”) and songwriters Karey Kirkpatrick (“Something Rotten!”), Emanuel Kiriakou (Whitney Houston’s “I Look To You”) and Kate Micucci (“Garfunkel and Oates”).

All four seasons of the original animated series “Phineas and Ferb,” along with the Disney Channel Original Movie “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension,” are also available to stream on Disney+. Beginning Tuesday, August 25, all episodes will be presented on Disney XD leading up to the movie’s premiere.

In addition to the soundtrack for the new movie, brand extensions for the movie will include cross-category product available at Hot Topic, BoxLunch and Amazon this August.

DVD Review “Phineas & Ferb: Star Wars”

Actors: Vincent Martella, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Dan Povenmire, Ashley Tisdale, Alyson Stoner
Studio: Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment
Rating: Not Rated
DVD Release Date: November 11, 2014
Running Time: 150 minutes

Special: 4 out of 5 stars
Extras: 3 out of 5 stars

“Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars” is not the Disney animated series’ first crossover episode. The show also went head to head with Marvel superheros last summer. When it comes to “Star Wars”, I am interested despite the crossover. Honestly, my interest in “Phineas & Ferb” has decreased to almost nothing since 2007. They did do a great job with mashing up “Star Wars” universe. This DVD is called “Star Wars IV: A New Hope – Retold and ReFERBished”, so one might assume that this will not be the last crossover either. The music is very catchy, clever and just plain fun. This DVD also includes six bonus episodes and a Carbonite Perry keychain. Calling all “Star Wars” fans, this is the crossover that you are looking for!

Official Premise: A couple of summers ago in a galaxy far, far away, Phineas and Ferb are happily basking in the glow of Tatooine’s twin suns — until plans for the Death Star accidentally fall into their hands, thrusting them (and Agent P) into a galactic rebellion and an epic struggle of good versus evil in “Phineas & Ferb: Star Wars”. Will Phineas and Ferb be able to resist the Dark Side? Will Stormtrooper Candace finally bust a Rebel? Can Agent P stop Darthenshmirtz from using his Force-powered “Sith-Inator”? Featuring five additional episodes for over two hours of action-packed fun, this mind-blowing, intergalactic adventure is a blast for all ages. May the Ferb be with you… always.

I know that kids don’t care if their cartoons are released on DVD or Blu-ray but there are a lot of big kids that might. This would have been epic on Blu-ray with the action, the animation and the music. Besides, “Phineas & Ferb: Star Wars” special, there are six additional bonus episodes including Be”For Your Ice Only/Happy New Year!”; “Steampunx/It’s No Picnic”; “Terrifying Tri-State Trilogy Of Terror (Parts 1 And 2); “Doof 101/Father’s Day” and “Tales From The Resistance” (Parts 1 And 2). If you enjoy “Phineas and Ferb”, this is a must have. If you have never seen the show once yet love “Star Wars”, this will be a great way to introduce you to the very funny characters and see “Star Wars” retold and reFERBished.

Video Game Review “Disney Infinity: Phineas and Ferb Toy Box Pack”

Video Game: Disney Infinity
Format: Any Platform
Media: Accessory
Release Date: April 1, 2014

Our Score: 4 out of 5 stars

Disney Infinity is like the gift that just keeps on giving. The latest toy box pack released is “Phineas and Ferb”, even though it included Phineas and Agent P (while excluding Ferb). Personally, I would want Agent P anyway over Ferb (poor Ferb, you don’t talk much…you don’t get much love). The Disney Channel animated series has become so popular over the years. I remember about back around 2008, I was dying to find a Perry the Platypus plush doll and I couldn’t find anything anywhere. Now there is so much merchandise and this show is still going strong with over 200 episodes aired to date.

I play this game a lot and of course we all have our favorite characters to kick around the toy boxes with. Previously I have been having a blast with Sorcerer Mickey but I think Agent P might be taking the reign for sure. He is such a fun character and also has a pretty wicked flying fedora is in artillery. Phineas is no less cooler though. I can see tons of kids getting very creative with their toy boxes and taking on the persona of the character. Plus he also packs a very handy baseball blaster on him.

Along with these two toy box characters, this pack also included two wave 3 power discs. If you follow the game, you will realize that Wave 3 has not even been released yet, so this is a real treat as well. The first is “Tri-State Area Terrain” Texture set and the second is “Danville Sky” Skydome. The transformation of the toy box really looks spot on with the show’s aesthetic value. If you are a fan of the show you get to run around in these well know locations from the show.

I am not sure that this is the absolute final word but I have been following this game for a while and I have a feeling that this might be the last toy box set in series 2. I have been searching online and I have not heard any word about future characters, which means that Disney Interactive might be gearing up and holding out for “Disney Infinity 2”. Either way if you are looking for more ways to expand this amazing game, the Phineas and Ferb Toy Box Pack is a must have for any fan of the show.

DVD Review "Phineas & Ferb: The Perry Files – Animal Agents"

Creators: Jeff “Swampy” Marsh & Dan Povenmire
Actors: Vincent Martella, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Dan Povenmire, Ashley Tisdale, Alyson Stoner
Rated: G (General Audience)
Studio: Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment
DVD Release Date: February 26, 2013
Run Time: 168 minutes

Episodes: 3.5 out of 5 stars
Extras: 3 out of 5 stars

I remember when I first started watching “Phineas & Ferb” and it hadn’t caught one yet with audience. But now it is just amazing how much “Phineas & Ferb” has blown up for Disney. Perry the Platypus has become a high-profile brand name and the fan-favorite of the show. One thing I noticed in these episodes is that Vincent Martella, voice of Phineas, voice is definitely changing as he sound quite different. Dan Povenmire really steals the show as usual as the voice of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. He is one of the best and funniest characters that Disney has ever branded. He is funny and his antics never get old. This DVD contains 12 very funny episodes dealing with Perry and the Animal Agents of the O.W.C.A. (Organization Without A Cool Acronym). If you are a fan of this show, do not miss the chance to own this fantastic release.

The episodes including are: “Journey to the Center of Candace”, “Traffic Cam Caper”, “Bowl-R-Rama Drama”, “Vanessasary Roughness”, “Isabella and the Temple of Sap”, “Cheer Up Candace”, “Robot Rodeo”, “Lotsa Latkes”, “Agent Doof”, “Where’s Perry Part 1”, “Where’s Perry Part 2” and “What’d I Miss”. They are a great collection of episodes showcasing Perry and his band of animal agents. The two part episode “Where’s Perry” could have been released as a DVD set of its own. But Disney delivered not only those too great episodes but many more greats.

Official Synopsis: Join Perry the Platypus – a.k.a. Agent P – and his fellow operatives as they team up to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his dastardly “Inators.” Be they furry or feathered, scaly or slimy, these fearless agents roll over for nobody when it comes to crushing evil in the Tri-State Area and beyond. Fully loaded with over two hours of animated animal-themed adventures, including the exciting, two-part “Phineas And Ferb” cliffhanger “Where’s Perry?”, “Phineas and Ferb: Animal Agents” is a fun-filled, action-packed laughfest that will drive audiences wild!
“Phineas and Ferb: Animal Agents” includes a cool activity spy kit complete with a set of paper binoculars, trading cards and O.W.C.A. I.D. Badge.

The special features included are a collection of “Take Two with Phineas and Ferb” shorts, which features the duo with cameos from real-life celebrities. That is all the actual bonus footage but there is a bunch of extra cool stuff included. There is a foldable spy kit with binoculars included inside. But that is not all, Disney took the time to take it one step further. If you check out the cover inside art, it includes a game to use the binoculars for. This is very clever and a nice way to use an otherwise back side of the cover art. Congrats Disney delivering not only a great disc but also a nice goodies.
