you could mash Calvin up with anything and I would love it!

  2. I’d love to see a mash-up involving Star Trek in some way.

Love James’ work, whatever it is! ^_^

  3. Growing up, I remember loving the old Hannah Barbara “pulp” cartoons like Johnny Quest. I also love science fiction movies, so how about Johnny Quest and Blade Runner

  4. A chance at James Hance art? I’m in! A mash-up of Scott Pilgrim and Transformers would be amazing

  5. I would love to see The Lord of the Rings mashed up with something!! James, keep doing what your doing. Your work is amazing!

  6. Love James Hance’s artwork! He’s so clever. Maybe something totally unexpected like a mash-up of Sesame Street and The Sopranos. M*A*S*H would also be a great one to mash-up. Heh, heh.

  7. Awesome, I just love his work! I would love to see a mash up of anything related to Rocky Horror. It would be fun to do also as the charcters are so unique. ^_^

  8. This is an amazing mash up of my two favorite things…Star Wars and Pooh. I would have to say Calvin and Hobbs and The Matrix, would be uber cool. Thanks for the chance to win!

  9. I’m a huge James Hance fan and I love his perspective on everything! Personally, I’d ADORE a Muppets and “The Princess Bride” mash-up!

  10. Love James Hance…especially the Labyrinth artwork. Would love to see a Labyrinth/Muppet Babies mash up….like the old muppet babies episode!!

  11. I could picture something along the lines of the Care Bears meets the Godfather would be interesting….
But really, James has really hit a high note with Wookiee the Chew – hard to top that!

  12. How’ze about Tron and Winnie the Pooh? I love the design of Tron so much – it’s so svelte and neon and futuristic and what-not. This is in stark contrast to the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you watch a classic WTP cartoon. To meld these seemingly disparate styles would be intriguing, to say the least. Would you be making Pooh edgier or softening up the Tron universe? Or both? Hmmm….

  13. I was also thinking The Muppet Show with The Princess Bride.
How has that not been done!

  14. I would love to see a Muppet Star Wars mash-up! <3 <3 James' work and I love seeing new stuff! I can't wait for the next Wookie the Chew book to come out!

  15. Love Jims work, hes A-Mazing! Any Disney mashup with some 80s film would be awesome, maybe Top Gun or Lost Boys 🙂 🙂 🙂 xxx

  16. I own a few of James’ prints and I absolutely love them! I would love to see some more Wizard of Oz mash-ups!

  17. I love James’ stuff and own a couple already. I want more – I wish I could have my entire wall filled with just his stuff. How about a Muppet Harry Potter? I am a super LOST fan, and would love some sort of LOST Muppet mix too.

  18. I would like to see a mashup of star wars and star trek: where its on the bridge of the original enterprise and the star wars characters are in star trek uniforms. Han Solo is in the captains chair, Leia is in for Uhura, Luke is in for maybe Sulu, Chewbacca is in for Scotty, 3-PO in for Spock. Something like that. It would be an epic take on how non scifi people are always mixing the two up. There is a lot of leeway for which characters fill in which spots, but it would be awesome. Maybe title it “I gotta bad feeling about this”

  19. Love love love James’ art! The Firefly/Muppets stuff especially. Two of my favorite things combined, what’s not to love? Kermit tight pants…

  20. I’m new to James’ Art, but what I have seen makes me smile every time. The creativity and talent that he has is incredible. It inspires me to continue my art and look at things from a different perspective. I love your art and the feeling it gives me even in this difficult time of watching my dad slowly pass away from cancer. All I have to do is just look at your work and it helps me get through another day. My dad was an aviation mechanic who loved cowboy movies and Indiana Jones, so a mash up of something like that would be awesome. Keep moving lives with your work James. I know you have touched my life.

  21. How about a mash-up of Muppets and Casablanca? I would love to see the La Marseillaise scene with Rowllf as Sam, Kermit/Piggy as Rick/Ilsa, Fozzie as Louis, Sam the Eagle as Victor, random Muppet pigs as Nazis, and Janice as the singer with Dr. Teeth and the band backing her up. Various Muppets all around Rick’s Cafe. So easy to picture …

  22. James Hance is my favorite! I’ve been dying for a Goonies/Ghostbusters mash-up for some time now, so I’ll throw that in here!

  23. Swedish Chef is my all time favorite Muppet and the first Matrix movie is one of my favorite sci-fi movies — so, could we have a Swedish Morpheus? Kermit has always been the ONE, so it just makes sense doesn’t it? Oh the possibilities! Anyways, I was only recently introduced to James’ art and I am blown away every time I see him post something new. Please pass along my well wishes and support. I have sent his website to all of my friends and family with a note saying it was my Christmas list — I can’t wait!

  24. Quite simply James is a very smart cookie but so far seen no Planet of the Apes mashups which would be super mad if mashed with the muppets, in particular the final reveal seen with the statue of liberty (Miss Piggy) and a screaming Taylor (Kermit)…cooooooeelll!!

  25. Asterix and Star Wars. Both are huge ensemble pieces with Stormtroopers as the Romans, Han-Asterix (hitting the Roman’s helmet off, of course), Chewie-Obelix, Getafix-Obi Wan, Caesar as the Emperor, Darth as Brutus or a General. Works in either direction!

  26. I’d love to see James tackle a mash up of the Justice League of Muppets. Supergrover, WonderPig, Green arrow Robyn, green lantern frog, black canary Janice, Fozzie Flash, etc.

  27. Or a muppet version of 1970’s classic monkey magic. Pigsy would be easy, but who’d be best monkey and Tripitaka?

  28. Love James’ art – as a fan of Star Wars for the last 30 years, it’s refreshing to see someone doing something new/different with my obsession!

As far as mash-ups go (apart from ANYTHING mixed with Star Wars!) how about…

The Matrix & The Smurfs – The Smurfix! (Neo Smurf, Morpheus Smurf, Trinityette)

or maybe… the old late 70’s TV series ‘Monkey’ with the Muppets – Mupkeys/Monkpets?!

Keep up the great work James!

  29. Love Love Love Jame’s work… I would think a Gremlins/ Labyrinth mashu-up could be pretty funky and cool!

  30. I’m a Chewbacca fanatic, so anything with Chewie would be fab but… Since I’m also a big time fan of Stan Sakai, perhaps a Star Wars/Usagi Yojimbo mash-up?

  31. How about Power Puff Girls and Terminator? BTW my husband is a huge comic guy and loves, loves Grover. The image at the top of the article is amazing.

  32. I just adore James Hance’s work in general. Hes amazing! But I’d love to see a mash up with anything from… True Blood, & Star Wars or anything by Jim Henson or for an odd twist…I know its not movie/cartoon but Queen Elizabeth I; Tudor/Elizabethian Era

  33. How I haven’t seen this stuff before is beyond me… so great! A favorite mash-up, though, that’s tough. James is the master here… I think the Gremlins/Labyrinth is an awesome idea, as is The Muppet Bride.

    Some others:
    The Beatles/Ken Burns Civil War
    Avatar: The Last Airbender/Star Wars
Stephen Colbert & Jon Stewart/Red vs. Blue
    Calvin & Hobbes/Gargoyles (specifically Bronx)
    Dr. Horrible/Samurai Jack

  34. What a grande idea! I am absolutely in love with James’ work. He is ridiculously talented and wonderful to talk to.

I’ve said this to him before and will add it again because for some reason I am very stuck on it…Something else with Skeletor 🙂 I’ve also mentioned Pee-Wee and/or the playhouse. I think either of those would be great. Oh, and just thought of Tron too, although that’s already been mentioned 🙂

  35. I know he does a lot of Muppet artwork already, but I would love to see a mashup of Muppet Babies and the Fantastic Four (along with Victor Von Doom and the Silver Surfer).

Love James’ work, just awesome and entirely appealing to the nerd within me.

  36. I love James’ work, especially the Wookie the Chew stuff and Dark Starry Knight!

It might sound weird, but I’d love to see Dr. Who and My Little Ponies (the ones from the 80’s)

  37. Added this book to my wish list for the holidays.

This is actually difficult to come up with something original that I’d love to see. Would love to see a mash-up of E. Hopper’s painting “Nighthawks” with Scooby Doo, rename the diner ‘Old Man Withers’

  38. This sounds like a fabulous giveaway, and I so hope I’m ok to enter from the UK. I would to see a mash up between Narnia and Veggie Tales characters.

  39. Love the sound of this book, if I don’t win will have to buy it. Can’t wait to read it to my grandson. Mash-up hmmm, Warner Bros cartoon Bugs et al and cast of Seinfeld.

  40. My two favorite things: The Lord of the Rings and Fraggle Rock
I love James Hance’s work! Can’t wait to see the book.

  41. I think mixing blaxploitation or those old corny 70’s and something from the 50’s and 60’s would be silly, like Andy Griffin being a cop with no rules, or The Beaver being some criminal mastermind or something goofy!

  42. I would love to see a mash up of Fraggle Rock and Voltron. Two of my favorite shows from growing up in the 80’s!

  43. Brilliant is the only word that comes close to doing James Hance’s work justice. You can tell I’m related to my sister, Larissa, above – quite indepently, I came up with this mash-up idea: X-Men and Fraggle Rock.

  44. First off, I think James Hance is an incredible artist and his work never fails to brighten my day.

I think my ideal mash up would be Captain Hammer (from Dr. Horrible) and Zapp Brannigan (from Futurama). If that doesn’t work, I’d love to see Beaker (or any Muppet for that matter) with The Doctor.

Then again, I’ve never seen any of James’ work that I don’t like because he’s really cool.

  45. I absolutely love James’ artwork! I would love to see Samus (Metroid) and Belle from Beauty and the Beast together. Also a Mario and Yoda combo!

  46. I’ve never seen this book! What a neat idea! I’m going to have to pick up a copy for my son! 🙂

  47. Weird I know but I’d love to see various Disney characters at the Mad Hatter’s tea party in Wonderland. Can you imagine how cute Stitch would be as the Hatter? Or classic Muppets in Wonderland?

  48. This looks awesome, would love to win it for my son (and who am i kidding? me too of course!)

The mash-up i’d like to see is Peanuts/Harry Potter!

    adankleff at gmail dot com

  49. Teenage Mutant Ninja Snorks.

James is a brilliant artist. Thank you for the chance to win!

  50. How cool is that!
A blend of two of my favorites.
What’s next Kermit and the Green Lantern : )

  51. It doesn’t get any cuter then this. I’m off to the website to see what else is available. I absolutely love the tacking the tail on picture!

  52. I’d like to see the cast of Peanuts have a “Big Chill” weekend reunion, maybe after the death of Pigpen from mesothelioma – from inhaling all that dust over the years – and see where they all ended up.

  53. I would love a movie/cartoon mash-up of some of the Garfield characters and some of the Lord of the Ring characters. I think a mash-up of some of the Garfield characters and the Lord of the Ring characters would be really cool.

  54. I love this idea. His artwork is so unique. I think he should do a mashup of Family Guy and The Smurfs

  55. I love to mash up Strawberry Shortcake and Voltron.
Yep…Cake Slicing Bitch it would be.

  56. I am such a star wars fan this is awesome. My idea for a mash up would be X-men and the smurfs.

  57. I just recently had some extra cash, and bought a number of your prints and your book! I love your stuff a lot, thanks! 🙂

  58. I would love to see something more with alice and wonderland perhaps one flew over the coo coo’s nest

  59. The mash-up I would love to see has recurred in my dreams many times for some reason, and it is none other than Harry Potter meeting Doctor Who!

Imagine the Doctor and Hermione arguing over whether a sonic screwdriver or a wand is more useful, or Captain Jack flirting away with Professor MacGonagall and Harry at the same time! Good times are to be had by all!

  60. I’ve been watching his work for a little while now and it has been the BEST that fits all of my favorites. Where else can you find Firefly with Kermit the Frog? An Ewokapaloosa? Or even Wookie the Chew? Seriously, it fits. Well done James!

  61. I love both Star Wars and Winnie the Pooh. I’ve wanted a copy of this book ever since I discovered it.

  62. I would love to see the Muppets in Legend – Kermit as Jack, Piggy as Lily etc. And James would be the perfect artist to do it as he is SUCH a wonderful, positive human being whose art is truly amazing and moving!

  63. I think that James’ work is stunning and he’s insanely clever. But what would I love to see? The female members of lots of 80’s cartoons (think Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, Jem, Thundercats, She-Ra!, etc etc) together in a sort of group photo or a rockband battle or something of that nature. Or in famous female roles, like Charlie’s Angels or filling the place of famous male roles, like The A-Team or Miami Vice….yes, the mashing potential is ENDLESS

  64. I would love to see a mash up of Scooby Doo and Doctor Who. The Mystery Machine Tardis! Scooby as The Doctor!

  65. I’m such a big fan of this mashup. Another great one would be Lord of the Rings and LOST, another two of my favorite things. 😎

  66. Definitely Dr. Horrible and Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin pretty much is Dr. Horrible. Susie could be penny. Hobbes could be captain hammer, or moist, or bad horse, (bad tiger).

    🙂

  67. James is hitting the mash-ups right on the head.. So maybe this would be an idea.
Tupac, Biggie, and ODB as the 3-headed dog in Clash of the Titans, with Eminem as Perssius… Im saying, the Manelli and Walken was awesome and not a cartoon character! AND as an installment prize james, you draw it, I’ll get it tattooed on me.. Now thats a fair deal!

  68. I too love the pooh/wars combination. Delights me every time I see it. We have some fantastic cartoons in the UK that I’m unsure you guys get in the States. I’d love to see a mash up of The Cities of Gold (you guys get that?) and something like Goodfellas.

OR Thundercats and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

  69. Mr.Hance already knows my mash-up request.. I’m now waiting.. 🙂 You ROCK J.H.! Yes I would love to receive any of your your masterpieces! Thank you, that is all!

  70. Doctor Who and Labyrinth! I’d love that. Honestly I love everything James does and I’d like more Labyrinth with anything!!!!!!

    Keep up the amazing art!!!

  71. I think it would be fun to mash up Toy Story with Back to the Future. If anyone could make that happen it’d be James Hance!

  72. Would love to see a mash up of the characters from the breakfast club movie, and sesame street. Awesome work james. Especially loving grover as capt. america!!!

  73. I’d love to see a Lord of the Rings mashup! I don’t know what would work with that, though – maybe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? 🙂

I absolutely ADORE Wookie the Chew! My boyfriend bought the last Wookie the Chew bag for me from Etsy and I carry it around every day! <3

  74. Doraemon – Star Wars would be interesting. Wonder if James is willing to explore the Japanese Anime realm 😀

  75. I already love Wookie the Chew so I’m not sure what other mash up I’d want to see. Anything mashed up with Star Wars is ok with me! Oh maybe a Game of Thrones & Muppets mash up?

  76. Love James art but can’t get it in the UK. id like an x-men/ muppet babies mashup can see animal as wolverine obvs but say gonzo as nightcrawler rolf as beast miss piggy as jean grey

  77. I love James’ art. Been a fan for a while now. He’s inspired me to go back to school and work on my art degree. I would love to see maybe something with the Ghostbusters, or Star Wars/ Where the Wild Things Are, or Where The Wild Things Are / Winnie The Poo. Maybe something with Neo from The Matrix. Or a Marvel Comics mash-up. Whatever he ends up doing I’m sure it will be nothing but amazing. Thanks for the contest.

  78. I’d love a Mash-Up of Underdog and Starwars somehow!!! Love Wookie the Chew and most all your work.

  79. Rescue Rangers and Power Rangers mash-up. Totally awesome. But pretty much anything else remixed with Star Wars will do for me. I wonder how a Harry Potter and LOTR mash-up would work too..

  80. Dr Blue…hehe Grover would be an awesome Doctor Who. 😀 Miss Piggy as Rose Tyler. And Kermy as Jack. And Oscar the Grouch could be a Dalek He’s got his own can already. It would just be too awesome.

Though the Doctor Doo someone else mentioned is full of completely awesome and win.

I’d also like to see a Muppety Monty Python ! …yes I love my British shows.

  81. I love everything James’ take on Muppets and Firefly, maybe Muppets and Eureka would be cool, too.

  82. How about the Terminator and The Muppets? And even though it is a TV show, not a movie, but Muppet MacGyver would be awesome!

  83. I bought the wookie the chew book for my daughter to be her first book. I would love to see a James Bond/Sesame Street mash up.

  84. How about bringing back MORE of the eighties girly style. Like maybe Strawberry Shortcake ala Sixteen Candles or Pretty in Pink???

  85. It’s difficult to think of a better mash-up than have already been done. It’s like James Hance feeds of the geekiest wavelengths of my brain and assembles them into something resplendent with awesomeness. (This sounds like ass-kissing, but is really quite sincere.)

  86. I am a HUGE fan of James’ art and James himself. He is a hella nice guy! He always takes the time to say hi on Facebook and Twitter. He’s very humble and sweet! I adore all his work, but Wookie the Chew is my favorite! For a mashup I’m thinking Sesame Street and The Usual Suspects. (c=

  87. My Husband and I have said if we had twins we’d call them Sky and Walker….cheesy but it’s how we roll.

I would love to create a nursery that’s Star Wars themed (hopefully we’ll have reason to create one soon if only because I’m gaining a collection of stuff for it with no place for it yet!).

I would want to see a mash-up of one of my Husband’s favourite shows growing-up and one of mine…just need to think which two shows would mash well…the 70’s and 80’s had some good ones.

  88. Interesting idea — I think I would like to see Fraggle Rock and Back to the Future (movie) or, if allowed Big Bang Theory (TV)

  89. I so love the Wookie the Chew art and his Firefly/Muppet stuff. I was trying to come up with the ultimate in my head and am having trouble because he is so good. Id love to see him do something great with Doctor Who. Im just not sure with what else. But id still like to win.

  90. Hi, James is awesome……..
How about a “Rocky Balboa Picture Show” mash-up?
After all most of the hard work has been done for you! x

  91. I love the Kermit the Frog Print with the Jazz Player and the Winnie the Pooh Prints. Any Of the Muppet prints are Beautiful…but I am not a Sci Fi Fan…so I cannot get into the Star Wars ones…not that they aren’t Wonderful…just not my Style. But I absolutely love the one he did with Kermit and the Jazz player…it was beautiful and I saw it in a Friends home.

  92. A “Tiny Tunes”esq version of the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings would be really interesting! Little(r) versions of those characters would make for lots of possibilities for adventures!
    I love James’ work!
    Thanks!

  93. I love wookie the chew! He’s so CUTE!

I’d love to see a Harry Potter or DR. Who mashup. I just can’t think what to mash it up with! Maybe more Star Wars?

  94. My husband loves the entire Wookie the Chew collection that I bought him for his birthday last year. I want a Doctor Who/ Winnie the Pooh that has a Cyber Shade with Eeyore.

  95. James’s art makes me so happy. Have there been any mash-ups of Kermit and Swamp Thing/Creature from the Black Lagoon/Godzilla? Or Fraggle Rock and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids/Ourselves. Or Ursula and Cthulu. Ariel vs the Kracken. Moby Mermaid instead of Moby Dick. Beauty and Dr. Jekyll/the Beast. Or Were-Care Bears.

I could go on but I should probably stop… Bye!

  96. I love James’ work! Being both a Winnie the Pooh (my first book!) and Stars Wars (my first real movie!) fan, I love the combination. He handles it beautifully, creating something new and original out of what was a classic favorite. As far as a mash-up, I would like to see Peanuts and Battlestar Gallatica? James has better ideas than me! LOL

    Thanks for this giveaway! Awesome.

  97. I love both the Wookie the Chew and the Firefly/Muppet mashups! Love your work- it always brings a smile to my face!

  98. I have this idea
    * Harry Potter stories as drawn by Edward Gorey

And there were these other ideas too…
    * Jack Kirby draws The Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones)
    * Battlestar Galactica as realized by Beatrix Potter (Rabbits in Vipers! Yes!)
    * The Rugrats and Doctor Who

  99. Would be amused with a Holy Grail mash. Fifth Element Fraggles? And mayhaps in the spirit of the upcoming spooky holiday, a horror flick mashup? Old classics like Psycho or something not all bloody/gorey, cause that doesn’t fly with the “cheerful art” thing.

  100. The Muppets and a classic comic book superhero team group shot, X-Men preferred. The idea of Fozzie as Wolverine and Kermit as Cyclops kills me. Blonde Mz.Piggy as Emma Frost these days is obvious, but the more traditionalist mashup would put her in Jean Grey’s place. I can also imagine them standing off against Statler and Waldorf.(Jim Henson as Charles Xavier, big head in the backround doing the funky telepathy thing? Bwah-hah-hah!)

  101. I can’t help but think about a Labyrinth/Muppets. I know he has done a piece or two of it, I want to see more!

  102. I’m a huge fan of James’ art, and I’d love to win the contest as well! If I were to pick a mash-up, I’d want to see Tom Baker’s 4th Doctor somehow involved with the crew from Terry Gilliam’s “Time Bandits.” The possibilities for awesomeness there are immense. 🙂

  103. Ooh! The Fraggles and Muppet Show cast doing the Rod Taylor/Yvette Mimieux “The Time Machine”

  104. James is an inspiration….. how’s about a Jimi Hendrix Experience / Electric Mayhem mash up:) Epic man………

  105. I’d like to see a classic arena rock shot image of dr. teeth and the electric mayhem.
That epic stage presence..wide angle awesomeness.

In the vein of Led Zeppelin / PINK ” FLOYD ” / The Ramones etc…
    : )

oh…is dr teeth a take of dr. john meets elton john…i kinda think so.

Wookie the Chew…….maybe Wickett can be Gopher.
    : )

ohhhh….maybe Big Bird as Howlin Wolf, and the gang recording in a CHESS studio ?

am i getting carried away ?

  106. I absolutely love James’ Star Wars/Pooh work. Another mash-up I’d love to see is Peanuts and The Office.

  107. Doctor Who and the Muppets would be rather brilliant, I feel. Other ideas include Anne McCaffery’s Dragonriders of Pern series mashed up with Star Trek (the Enterprise as Dragons, anymore?) or Charlie’s Angels.

  108. I’m hoping to decorate my nursery with James Hance’s prints, so this would be a great way to get started! I think I’d enjoy seeing a mashup of Battlestar Galactica (the new one) and Jetsons, or Star Trek TNG and the Jetsons 😉

  109. I love James Hance’s work. 🙂 I would like to see mash ups of X-Men and Disney princesses. Belle and Beast or Tiana and Toad make the most sense, but maybe Jasmine and Wolverine, Snow White and Cyclops, Mulan and Iceman, etc etc. 🙂 Thanks for giving us a chance to win!

  110. Someone here suggested Muppet/X-Men.. So how’s about Muppets/Eureka, or Dr. Who/Muppets. (Or really Dr. Who/anything!!!)

  111. I’m already such a huge fan. I love anything Firefly. Also Lord of the Rings and Muppets would have my vote. But really, anything he does will just be freakin’ amazing!

  112. Hey James. I think Beavis and Butthead mixed with The Angry Beavers. OR, The Hobbit (1977) mashed with Labrynth or Muppets. Really anything Jim Henson and The Hobbit.

  113. It’s hard to get the awwesomeness of Wookie the Chew out of my head, but I’d like to see a Back to the Future/muppet mash-up. 🙂

  114. Doctor Who Muppets perhaps? I know James is excellent with Muppets…

Perhaps a Return to Oz mash up? Again, I don’t know what you’d mash it with … but I’d love to see something from Return to Oz. 🙂

James has an amazing artistic sensibility. I can’t wait to see what he does next!

  115. I’m thinking about the Smurfs and Lord of the Rings featuring the evil ominous Saurgamel and Gollum Smurf.

Because the other thing that came to mind is the Care Bears and Transformers, which is just a little too disturbing when I actually start fleshing that one out in my head.

  116. I would love to see the Peanuts in Harry Potter!! :). Snoopy as Harry and Woodstock as Hedwig! That could be so much fun! So many possibilities! And who doesn’t love the Peanuts?? :). Even if it doesn’t win, might still be fun to do!

  117. So glad a friend posted a link to this on Facebook. New fan, right here! Although Star Wars and anything would be my first choice, I’d also be enthralled to see Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure or Shawshank Redemption mashed up with either Ren & Stimpy, Invader Zim, or Gumby.

  118. I was about to say that my son adores the Grover/Doctor Who picture…but in reality, our whole family thought it was brilliant! We got him the Grover t-shirt, because we’re all Whovians, and Grover was my favorite of all the Sesame Street characters. 🙂

  119. Wacky Races + Muppets

Would also approve of the “Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines” gang in there too.

  120. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee – I hope I make it in just in time (the excitement is running my ability to calculate time differences)! 🙂 My dream mash-up would probably be Harry Potter aka the Golden Trio/Three Musketeers

  121. Chronicles of Narnia
Wrinkle in Time/Wind in the Door

Either or both of those mashed-up with Muppets, Calvin & Hobbes and/or Bloom County? Regardless, James’ work is delicious and I enjoy everything he does. 🙂

  122. hmm…I think Alice in Wonderland falling into TRON’s computer world…a rabbit in glowing blue could run by her chanting

“I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date!
No time for ones, no time for zeros, I’m late, I’m late, I’m late!”

  123. ‘We’re going on a Bear hunt’ by Michael Rosen in the Lord of the Rings world.

`We’re going on a Ring hunt.
We’re going to destroy a big one.
    What a beautiful day!
    We’re not scared`

Ents as the Forest, ‘can`t go over Mordor, cant go under Mordor, we have to go through Mordor` Through Spiders nest, etc.

I can see it now …… cute Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin travelling eventually to Mount Doom. Saruman as the Bear at teh end, chasing them all the way back to the Shire.

  124. Calvin and hobbs making the silence (dr who) into snowmen surrounding dad’s car. Doctor Who on galifrey runs into the “little prince.” the doctor and amy loose on picards enterprise. a bit who heavy so I will add young indiana jones and the fraggles – turns out sorockets other name was “indiana sprocket”

  125. I love James Hance’s work and really really want a copy of Wookie the Chew and I have been anxiously waiting for any sequels!

Maybe a mashup of the Muppets and Star Wars, the posters for movies 4, 5 & 6 with Muppets?

  126. I’m a sucker for anything time travel related, especially Back to the Future, so that and just about anything would be fun (The possibilites are endless, Leave it to Beaver, Futurarama, Batman, Calvin & Hobbes, etc.) I’m also a big fan of Andrew Wyeth, so “Doc’s World” could be interesting. I have no doubt that whatever you come up with will be epic.

  127. I think it would be fun to have M.A.S.H and Star Wars put together.

    M.A.S.H
    4077th
    Endor

  128. I’d love Kermit, Piggy and Fozzie as Harry, Hermione and Ron!

(Actually, I’d really love the Peanuts gang as the Harry Potter trio, but suspect there may be copyright issues!)

  129. I would love to see Dr Who v the Muppets or the transformers V voltron(muppetized)… not sure how doable a mech version of the muppets would be, but that’s why he’s the artist 😀

  130. It would be hard to top Wookie the chew – I absolutely love it. We’re big star wars buffs here and anything star wars is fun to see. I think it would be fun to mash star wars and the smurfs.

  131. Carebear zombies!!! But in a fun way….you know change their little tummy powers and make them dreary colors. But still happy!

  132. As a big Beatles fan it would be amazing to see a mashup of the Abby Road album cover with Dr. Teeth the Electric Mayhem.

    Dr Teeth as John Lennon
Sgt. Floyd Pepper as Paul McCartney
    Janice as George Harrison
    Animal as Ringo Starr
Zoot could even make an appearance and be the guy standing on the side of the street

  133. Silence of the Lambs & Sesame Street – two of my favorites, both reflecting me as a kid and as an adult!

  134. I really think this a fun way for all the star wars fans who are now parents to share a beautifully artistic and creative story with their kids. Good job.

  135. Anything John Hughes with some sort of Jim Henson Muppety-goodness as the lead characters. Like the library scene from The Breakfast Club as depicted by Labrynth characters or Fraggles. But, really, anything James would do would be perfection.

  136. I definitely think we need to see some Neverending Story material. There are plenty of characters from the Muppet universe we can combine with Fantasia citizens… example: Rolf/Falcor, Kermit/Bastian, Piggy/Childlike Empress

  137. Muppets and Star Wars has been SO overdone, I would like to see Muppets in Star Trek. (Just to even things up a bit!) I think that could be awesome!

  138. The Muppets and Pirates of the Caribbean or

Han Solo and Chewbacca as “Calvin and Hobbes” Han is a sarcastic 6 year old with a wookie for a friend. Greedo could be Moe, and Leia could be Susie!!

  139. Love Wookiee The Chew!!! So creative and fun!! Maybe something such as Sesame Street and the Neverending Story……He-Man and Clash of the Titans……Calvin and Hobhes and The Last Starfighter……Posted below my fave which is still Labyrinth and the Muppet Babies….but think a Muppet Babies/Goonies mash up would be just as awesome!

  140. Anything with Lord of The Rings might be fun. But keeping with style… I see you doing something with the Thundercats. Maybe like Panthro/MacGyver? MacGyver, A-Team, Star Trek TNG, something like that?

The Princess Bride has possibilities too. But I don’t know yet what you could mash it with.

  141. I LOVE James Hance artwork! Makes me smile every time! :o) I think a mashup of Muppets and Princess Bride would be stupendous!

  142. I’d love to see a mashup of the Muppets and Kill Bill! Think of the possibilities…. Piggy fighting Kermie at the end?

  143. Grover as Captain Jack Sparrow
Also thought Chuck and Sesame Street mash up. Grover/Chuck, The Count/Volkoff, Sarah/Betty Lou, Ellie/Zoe, Oscar/Casey, Bert&Ernie/Lester&Jeff, Big Bird/Big Mike, and Cookie/Morgan. Not sure about the last one, but cookie monster is important too.

  144. A-Team and muppets!
    Animal – Mr T
    Gonzo – Murdoch
    kermit – Hannibal
    Hmmm…maybe Scooter as Face?

  145. penelope pitstop (stop that pigeon and smudley the dog and the red baron) with True Romance

  146. Sweetums and Andre’ the Giant
(Andre’ in Princess Bride attire and Sweetums in Muppet Treasure Island)

  147. Star Wars mashed with the characters from Clerks/Mallrats/Jay and Silent Bob movies. Like:

    Dante – Luke
    Randall – Han Solo
    Jay – C3PO
    Silent Bob – R2D2
    etc.

  148. Awesome giveaway. Here are my mash-up ideas:

I’ve always wanted to see a mix between “The Time Travelers Wife” and “Back to The Future”

An American Gothic Han and Leia

A Georges Seurat pixelated Mario scene

MC Escher hand on reflecting sphere with Vader’s hand on the Death Star.

“Here’s Lookin’ at You, Pig” (Casablanca + Miss Piggy)

Blue Man Group, Muppet Style (Gonzo, Grover, & Cookie Monster)

  149. Oooh oooh oooh yey the Princess Bride rocks, maybe mashed with Shrek? Maybe Wizard of Oz or True Blood mashed with the muppets (can’t you just see Piggy as Sookie Stackhouse) Heh heh heh. Also there’s a whole rich seam of Hayao Miyazaki characters just begging to get mashed! Totoro and ???Garfield???

  150. Youve already mixed two of my favorite things with pooh and star wars but would love to see a Calvin and hobbs meets pirates of the Caribbean amalgamash! Lx

  151. calvin and hobbs/star wars (good call) goonies/muppet babies ( i would love to see this one) how bout… Dr. horrible’s and say muppet babies or calvin and hobbs or peanuts… or gummie bears and lord of the rings…

  152. M*A*S*H – Muppet Army Surgical Hospital

The characters are almost too easy to match up! Paint the cast photo of the good ole 4077th.

    Miss Piggy as Hot Lips
    Kermit as Hawkeye
    Fozzy as
    Scooter as Radar
Really easy to guess who would be Klinger 🙂
    Sam as Colonel Potter
    Lots of options!

  153. I would be thrilled to see a Doctor Strangelove & Doctor Who mash up. The Doctor (Matt Smith) chasing the TARDIS on the back of a nuclear missile with the Stetson up in the air.

That is something I’ve wanted custom for a long time.
